Karen, I'm researching this Amber Ready program that you are talking about. I haven't found any info on it being a multi level marketing scam. I googled and found that there are some companies out there that they say are a scam.. but from what I'm reading Amber Ready looks legit.

I'm actually thinking about paying the $50 2 year membership to register my daughters info.
Jennifer O, I would try and find the Co. name that is sponsering the program. Read there mission and you will see their add is geared in a certain direction of fear. The Co. is promoting a launch as they just open doors for business. The co. calls this campaign launch stars and all their "Amber Ready Program" designed to keep a child safer. Nothing they are selling that can't be accomplished on a computer and Sherrifs department. I did save to faves but I'm puting this out so that before one dscides to spend money that comes with a commitment of payments adds up to loads of green. I found this so easily and probably wouldn't have paid any mind to it until after I posted because it hit me Michell Dart had come to town. Big red flag for those of us who have been on the Caylle A case. Then I found she is connected with the launch of this co. who is hiding behind the ruse of calling itself a company when in fact it is a Foundation no different than the A's foundation, Kid Finders who have felonies a mile long. This goes even deeper. A couple of us are going to addresss this tomorrrow in the PL Kid Finder thread. This isn't about Lindsey or her mom so I think posting would work good there at sluething more discovery. The kool thing is Mom B gets a great audience to tell the story of Lindsey by giving so much exposer. As I said I'm all about that. Mom B may be able to join the company and get in at the ground level of the business and bring the "Amber Ready Alert to your town. Do we have any other sells reps for the "Amber Ready Alert" sales campaign in western Wa.? It is explained better by the co. on how to increase sales in your territory. Not a bad thing if you believe in the product. Hope fully it won't take long to post as alot of work has gone into the Caylee Marie Anthony Foundation thread by some great sluethers and this might be something to yak about, slueth details they will find puzzlling.

I have been debating for 24 hours whether or not to post this long shot but it kept eating away at me so I have decided to toss it out. At least it will be out for others to consider.

Some have indicated a possibility that even LE may be involved which would be included in the "trusted" group that Lindsey may have fallen prey to, and if I recall correctly someone posted awhile back that a known SO actually applied for a position in the LE department either at Grays Harbor or McClearly itself.

In any event, I saw the chair in the recently posted photo (my avitar now) and the "Office Depot" box in the lower left and realized that she was probably sitting in an office of some sort. I then considered which office this might be, K's, MB's, the school, LE in McCleary? To me it is clearly an office.

One strange thing about the photo is that her mood is so cool, fun, playful. Whoever owns this office clearly seems to have LB's trust. I also see the edge of a light blue "arm" to the immediate right of LB which may or may not be a friend sitting next to her?

I went back and checked out any video that may shed some light on the type of chairs or wall color in that LE McCleary office, but couldn't get a clear shot of the chair style.

Questions and considerations:

1. Are any of you locals familiar with the type of chairs in the LE office in McCleary?

2. Does any local see anything familiar with the style of chair, wall (both photos below seem to have an approximate wall color), etc. that may shed some light on where that photo was taken?

3. If this photo may have been taken in the police station does that possibly lend some credence to this past idea that she may have jumped into the vehicle of someone that she "trusted," someone in authority and known to her?

I have included a print screen of what I assume to be the McCleary LE office as well as the photo of LB herself, with some labels.

Anything in this post is simply another "angle" for investigating, if indeed it even has any credibility at all. I am simply offering grist for the mill (not the rumor mill).

PS - I tried to read the upper right wall hanging but couldn't. That may have helped.

Normcar, I think it was established the "SO" stood for "Sheriffs Office".

I do think you're correct about it being an office, it appears to be commercial grade carpet as well.

No, an SO didn't apply for the job. I don't remember where exactly the info came from.. but the SO part of the statement was in reference to the Grays Harbor Sheriffs Office doing the background checks on the applicants.

I've been thinking about Kat and hope she is OK, knowing she has blood pressure problems. I know she moved but thought she'd be back by now.

Also Hi to Nurselady and Kimster as I saw you both here a bit ago. xox and off to bed I go. xox

I've seen her around other threads. I think it took awhile for her to get Internet service, and she's probably still unpacking, etc.

Hey, Norm~ It sure looks like newer office furniture to me which doesn't go along with a small town PD, imo. (I don't think the walls are the same either.)

Could this be the back office of the dollar store where her mom worked?

  • #668
That newer pic of Lindsey is definitely in an office.

Could it be the office of the 5cent to 5 dollar store? She apparently spent a lot of time there and with her mom working there, she might have been allowed in the office from time to time.

If you blow picture up to 400% of lindsey you will also see there is a blue back pack like on the floor between both lindsey and other person. Also noticed the picture above looks to be like a saying that is numbered.. Looks like a saying of some sort. I am unable to read it cause it gets blurred from blowing it up.

Is that a Girl Scout jacket that Lindsey is wearing in that photo? If so, is there a facility with an office where the McCleary Girl Scouts meet?

I ask because years ago when my daughter was in Scouts, my husband and I used to joke about her only being allowed to wear her GS uniform when she was "on active duty" -- i.e. involved in Scout activities!

Does anyone have any idea what the "Office Depot" sign/label is attached to?

TIA.

The 5 Cents to 5 Bucks store in McCleary isn't where Melissa worked.
That is the store that would give the kids a free birthday balloon, and Carrie Jelle was there the last night Lindsey was seen.

In fact, I have no memory whether it has been confirmed where Melissa worked.

Melissa McCann, Lindsey's Mom's best friend owns the Tazmanian Dollar store in Elma, and Lindsey worked at the front counter sometimes.

Thank you for the name of the store in Elma, which is owned by the friend of Lindsey's mom. Also, I have had no luck finding out where MB works (or, worked). I've read everything I can find about this case at least twice, but I don't see anything published about that. I think it's curious that such a basic fact remains a mystery, but I'm sure LE knows. I guess can live with that.

Could the office pictured above be KK's home office? The desktop doesn't seem to be organized in a professional way; everything is either on top of, or under, something else. Also, those blue file folders are the same ones I've used every time I've organized myself, but I have never seen them used in a 'real' workplace. They cost too much. "Real" jobs use manila folders, purchased in bulk quantities.

That is a good possibility.. Looks like G S A on her shirt. Was googling girlscouts found this interesting.

I wonder when the previous times where when they did an over nighter. Think that would be kind of cool especially if I was a Twilight fan.

Just to let you know, Girl Scouts doesn't use GSA. They are GSUSA.
And her jacket isn't a Girl Scout item, wrong color.

Scam or not, there are AA related companies where profit seems to be an obvious priority. You have to be careful & dig a bit. Some may claim LE association(s), telemarketing calls, or even try and come off as non-profit.

On the surface they seem to provide a legitimate service. Then you're handed a cheap <$2 kit that includes nothing you couldn't have done or found yourself.

Special interest is more obvious when a private company realizes the value of hiring such company ^ to put on a (public, pr) show for them.

Wow, I wondered about the style of shirt that was and the girl scout thought by Track was interesting, I had forgotten that Lindsey was a girl scout. TamgMit, on that blue backpack, I didn't even notice that, perhaps an indication that it may be a home office rather than something official! Coastal, the blue file folder thing also makes sense to me, even though in our office we have some of them but they are rarely used. SS, your suggestion also makes sense but I'd still like to know what sort of chairs are in LE's McCleary office, just so I can shake this idea completely off. I appreciate all of the comments on this photo. You notice Lindsey's tiny size when compared to the chair seat, itself. She is quite small and some abductor would probably have little problem grabbing her. As well, her fingernails seem to be trimmed down. This does seem to be a reasonably recent photo of her as well, when comparing it to the December photo beside the tree which has been published quite a bit.

Grabbing at straws, here, I know, but it's just too frustrating to sit back and wait for something substantial to come up.

Normcar, I played around with the photo also. Couldn't really offer much that hasn't been said (except there is dust on the chair...lol). I was trying to figure out the Office Depot label and what it was on, thought it's a box lid.
Definitely could not make out what was in the wall picture or the desktop pile.

Where is this pic from? Michaela's MySpace?
Link? via PM? Anyone?
