Stupid question, since I am having a hard time keeping up with the media and everything else at the same time: when was the last official statement from LE where anything new was said? A little bit of silence makes me hopeful that something serious is happening. A lot of silence just makes me nervous.
It was Monday when they announced Pierce County had been brought in to search and get "fresh eyes" on the case. Outside of that, nothing really new has come up at all.

I must have missed the conversation with the man who said Lindsey wasn't liked? WHAT? That sounds highly suspicious, IMO! Does this guy have an alibi??? What a comment about a missing little girl!!!
Don't you remember the conversation JVK had with MH about the Jewelry store owner and the man named E? ;) I believe the whole account is posted in JVK's visit thread.

I'm not sure what has come of this but I am posting it for consideration

Orcutt, CA-- Residents are being told to keep a lookout for a man driving a white van with possibly Washington State license plates.

Santa Barbara Sheriff deputies received a report Monday afternoon, that a man driving a white van near Hartnett and Cane tried to lure an 11-year-old girl into his van.

The girl said, the man pulled up to her and asked her to help him find a lost dog. The girl told sheriff officials that when she ran to a nearby home to call for help.

Detectives say the suspect is in his 50's and was driving a white cargo van with two rear windows covered by curtains.

After reading thru all the posts that were made since yesteday this one caught my eye. The reason is do I remember lindseys mom saying something about a man approached lindsey or something like that before she disappeared about a lost dog??? or am i crazy??
Pray for Lindseys safe return

No, you aren't crazy. The mother did say that Lindsey and another girl were approached by a man with fliers looking for his dog. She took the opportunity to give Lindsey the talk about stranger danger and protecting herself against being abducted. She also stated that he was "legit". The girls were allowed to go to the park after the talk to search for his dog.

Here is the thread on the man in CA:

The bridge I keep talking about is the wooden one at the far end of the Park and Ride nearest to Lindsey's home and not the cement culvert "bridge" with the cyclone fence.

McCleary said it was searched with poles and guys in waders so I guess I will hush about it now.

I was about to "Thank" this post, SS, because I hadn't realized that the culvert and your bridge were two different places.
But then it occurred to me it might look like I was thanking you for deciding to hush about it!
So, thank you for clearing up a misconception. :blowkiss:

Hello everyone.

O/T: My 9 year old stepdaughter was raped by a convicted sex offender in Poplar Bluffs MO, last night. The reason that he was able to get close to her was that although he was convicted of similar crimes in the past, he was not required to register until his 18th birthday and he's only 17. So he basically got a free pass. Thank you MO lawmakers for making this possible.
It never ends.

I'm so sorry this is just terrible. I live about 40 minutes from Poplar Bluff, this hasn't been in the news.

Hi STEADFAST, I think that right after the water goes under the bridge it hits a culvert. I guess I'd have to be there to see it, but I don't believe there would be much room on the west side of that bridge to even crawl down thru the foliage and step in the water. Maybe McCleary knows.

Wish I could find that last big pic of the bridge. It is lost somewhere. ;}

From what I am seeing COD was never determined. There was a suicide note and then there was a body, but no solid COD.

Just age, location, looks (before Kylie went goth/punk) Kylie's online presence(about as heavy as Lindseys.)

The thing about Kylee from what a family friend of hers reported on another site (SM) was that she left in December and that is when her books and note were found on the banks of the drainage canal but she was then seen for about three months around town and it was thought that a couple of families from her church may have been helping hide her. She was not saw after March and her body was found in June - fully intact....like maybe she hadnt been in the water all that long?

There is a website for the Church in Rainier that has youth activity group photos and there is a photo of a man that appears to look quite a bit like a shaven Wayne Watne. The photo caught my attention in the album "in Christ We Stand" Please look at the photo with caption "WAYNE // INCREDIBLE GUITARIST"

the youth group Kylee was going to is called E-life. http://www.myspace.com/elifeyouthgroup is a link to their myspace page. It is held at Rainier Chapel, in Rainier. http://rainierchapel.com/ Rainier is located 40 miles from McCleary, and 8 miles from Tenino, where Nancy Moyer disappeared.

Another thing that is weird is that Kylee's step sister was apparently missing as of two weeks ago, from what I read her mother was hesitant to file a missing persons report for some reason. May her Step Sister knew who was helping Kylee?

It seems like there are a lot of coincendences. But I think if WW knew both girls something is wrong!

Honestly, I think the Incredible Guitarist looks to be in his late teens.

I have one personal request to the locals concerning the individual who was posting "lost dog" posters around town.

Do any of these posters remain on telephone poles and, if so, is the individual's name and phone number provided (I would think that at least a phone number would be supplied).

I have not found a post related to this and would be interested in any information related to that. It would also be nice to have a description of this individual, if the dog was actually found, and what MB meant by this being a "legit" appeal to find a dog.
This "missing dog" poster would also satisfy the 'publishing' of an event that the astrologers see as key to Lindsey's disappearance.

I agree with you, Normcar21. Who is this guy?

I don't see any similarities between the "guitarist Wayne" and WW.

The reward for information leading to 11-year-old Lindsey Baum has been raised to $10,000 as investigators continue checking on new leads.

Lindsey’s mother Melissa Baum said donations have increased the reward previously offered by Crime Stoppers and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Grays Harbor Undersheriff Rick Scott said a team of investigators continue to catalog and check out new tips from when the reward was first offered. They are conducting follow-up interviews with the help of neighboring law enforcement agencies.

Lindsey disappeared on June 26 while walking a few blocks to her home in McCleary. Investigators have found no evidence explaining the 4-foot-9, brown-haired girl’s disappearance in the past month.

Melissa Baum said people can contribute to the Lindsey Baum Reward Fund at any Sterling Savings bank branch.

Anyone with information on Lindsey’s whereabouts or suspicious behavior that may be related to the case should call the tip line at 1-866-915-8299 or send an e-mail to [email protected].

The raise in reward is a good thing. It means people haven't forgotten.

Norm, is this the picture you are talking about?
pool_location.jpg

We'd need to find a map of where the culverts are to be sure where the creek goes. I don't believe it is "under the Shell Station" because of the under ground tanks. I think there is also a regulation of how far away from water those tanks need to be (incase they leak).

Where this info can be found? No clue. Maybe the city website. Or maybe someone needs to call McCleary city department and see if they have any info.

That's not the same map but it does refer to the cyclone fence that was posted by C, and the wooden bridge is just north of that. My question is "where does the water go when it reaches that cyclone fence" and I am assuming that the water is moving north to south rather than south to north. I simply want to know more about what happens to the water when it reaches that cyclone fence just approximate to the service station and if the water could have been faster than normal during that end of June hydrant flushing. I'd love to see photos of the water and cyclone fence to see what happens with the draining there.

I didn't think it was a month from when she went missing to when JVK went to McCleary, but I could be mistaken.

It may not have been a month but it was definitely a number of weeks beyond the disappearance, time for grass and weeds to again stand tall. I'm a wildlife photographer so I am familiar with regrowth of fallen and disturbed grasses.

I think it runs under the empty lot to the north of the shell station...it can't run under the station itself because they put in the big fuel tanks and so on when they put it in...and that was recent enough that I can remember it.

Thanks McCleary, I appreciate the idea that it cannot run directly under the service station, but my question is what exactly is the underground scenario when the stream hits the cyclone thingie, which direction does the water go, is the hole deep, could a body fall into that hole, has it been searched efficiently, and perhaps the major question, does the stream flow south rather than north, I am assuming that if flows south under the wooden bridge referred to by SS, and, if so, what happens to the flow when it hits the end of the brush, as can be seen even in google earth. Clearly the flow goes underground at that point.

Apparently she wasn't liked by MH, a drunk, a jeweler (perhaps because she went to the store to look at jewelry that she knew she would never be able to afford), and some SO named Nick. Any other evidence shared by others is that she was sweet, friendly, talkative, and a very very likeable little girl.

Yes, SS, that's the same bridge I'm referring to, just north of the cyclone thing. Cyber posted a great photo of that wooden bridge and you indicated that now we have a good view of the bridge from each side.

I would like a good shot of the bridge from North to south as it drains into the cyclone cage.
