Good evening everyone...I am so troubled that we have not heard much on Lindsey. :(
I wish they would say something..anything.

I agree...and thinking about Lindsey's mom sitting on her porch every day waiting for her baby to come home just rips my heart out.

Sorry, I'm new with posting and my computer is acting screwy. I found the inital article in The Vidette March 19, 2009. Kalia was getting sexual text messages from James Reimer(a family friend). She left with him from Okla. on Feb. 2 to attend an anime convention in CA. They were stopped in Greys Harbor in March 2009. He was sent back to Okla but seems kinds weird that she is found here and a few months later Lindsay is missing. Did he know someone or did he teach another prisoner his "tricks" while in WA.

I don't believe he was here long enough to teach anyone any "tricks". He was probably held in a holding cell in the county jail until Oklahoma State Police came and got him.

I highly doubt he has anything to do with Lindsey.

I have been following Lindsey's story from the beginning and have read some of the posts in this forum(there's a lot). I had a theory about what happened but it wasn't really based on anything solid. I live about an hours drive away and have been wanting to help somehow. Last Tuesday I flew over McCleary and shot some photos I hope you will find useful. There are some of McCleary and of the road between McCleary and Porter. My original theory posited that since it was a Friday night someone was on their way to the Indian casino and their route would take them through McCleary.

Anyway the picture are posted at http://www.vp-photo.com/mccleary.htm http://www.vp-photo.com/mccleary.htm If you click on the thumbnail it will open a larger version in another window.

Mike

Mike - these are great pictures! Thank you. We should add them to our photo thread.

What is the pond? Is that by the "door" company or whatever it is called?

Salem

ETA: Hope you don't mind, but I'm taking the liberty of copying these to the photo thread so they don't get lost.

I agree. It seems her trail has gone cold. How can that happen?

We need a reenactment!!! NOW! Something, anything. Lindsey needs to come home.

Kalai Fourzan's thread:

(snip) - Missingkids.com lists a White 1994 Mercury Cougar. I posted a link above of what such a vehicle could look like. They mention that it has substantial front end damage and Oklahoma plate: VRW932

Huge long shot but what the heck, these two ended up in Grays Harbor, driving a white sedan, and it appears that the inspiration relates in a few ways to Lindsey's Twilight desires as well as Forks.

I would like to hear from "white" sedan witnesses if the vehicle they saw had front end damage.

Post 78 (cynsational)

Deborah Kalai Fourzan, missing since Feb. 2, and James Reimer, 40, were located in Montesano, Wash., about 6 p.m. central time Saturday by Washington Highway Patrol troopers, Tecumseh detective Lt. J. R. Kidney said.

Fourzan is unharmed, and Reimer is in the Grays Harbor County jail, Kidney said. FBI agents are interviewing the two before they are brought back to Oklahoma, he said.

Considerations:
- location is Grays Harbor
- Twilight series a focus
- Forks a focus
- white sedan
- this year
- 40 year old? Must have motives beyond understanding the Twilight series???

I4G mentions in the next post: Wow. All the way out to Washington. Glad she was found safe.

I agree, wow, all the way out to Washington, especially when the major goal was to get to CA

After looking at alot of these photos Mike posted here it is apparent if Lindsey is still anywhere in the area it would be very hard to find her. My husband and I were talking about Lindsey tonight and how small McCleary is he said " small communities such as these would make it easy for a child to go missing. It is the perfect op. waiting to happen. Everyone is so trusting of one another and know one would ever think there kids where not safe walking home in a small community because everyone knows everybody."
I just find it hard to believe that if it was some one local who did this to Lindsey that they havent slipped up in some way , especially acting differently. I still feel it may be some one who frequents the area , like a relative or friend of someone who lives there. I wonder the habits of Lindsey, did she walk this route often ? Even if she did not take the same route did she walk around town alot with friends, on her own ?
I still wonder about the truck of guys (3) that tried to take the other young girl in broad daylight not far from McCleary, thats pretty brazen.
Even if Lindsey did scream would anybody hear it. I would assume most everyone was tucked in there home for the night watching TV , getting ready for bed etc...

I believe this guy is back in OK awaiting sentencing. This is the last news blurb I found on him from 4/22:

When asked why they went to Washington state, Reimer said, “She wanted to see Forks, the city — you know, Twilight and all that,” he said, likely referring to Forks, Wash., the setting in the popular “Twilight” books and movie. Reimer then said, “It’s not my bag,” and went with a detention officer to complete the book-in process.
The sheriff said the transport went well and as planned; Jail director Sid Stell and his staff were awaiting Reimer’s arrival for book-in and that process also went smoothly.
Reimer was jailed on a $100,000 bond for the original charge filed. He also faces a charge of maliciously enticing a child and he could face additional charges. - snipped-

I planned to log off and head out to read the info in the thread so kindly offered by Salem and then just took a quick peek back at your post here, mysticrose. I had to log back in just for a sec to COMPLIMENT you on such a great post. Much of what you say foams up in my brain on a daily basis, and you summarized it wonderfully. Thanks!

Thanks boondock, that is really interesting just to know the mindset of reimer, I would really like to know if there is some SO group that focuses on this Twilight thing in order to grab up young teens. Clearly it would be a fabulous and effective "lure" for the unsavory SO's wriggling about.

Thank you for that thought

I wouldn't doubt for one moment that SO's - especially those of children - find out what the intended victims interests are and use that as a ploy to get close to them. This is true with serial killers too, they find the victim's weakness and gain their trust.

I think she got into someone's car she thought she "knew". I think they may have offered her a ride home, and with it getting dark soon she may have accepted. I just keep wondering about someone watching her. Watching her and her friend go into the house and then Lindsey come out alone.

I hadn't planned to post till I could express some of what you just said in your ,onger post. Hubby and I returned from Mc Cleary late evenning yesterfay, I'll explain in more deyail our day sprnt. I would now but the dentist is calling. I came on to lurk and drink my coffee when your post jumped out at as you spoke the identical words my husband and I spoke yesterday. We were somber when we got back back on the freeway. As hopeful as were to find things different in Mc Cleary that was not the case. The beauty of our Emerald state is beyond description and with this appreciation we also realized that our forrest is massive and the disregard for a human life can be hidden in the darkness of a forrest much to easily. Wanting the best for her mother at this time we don't feel this will be the case. What was once beautiful has turned menacing and ugly by these predators. Folks reading here who don't know our Pacific N.W. should understand that there is vast wilderness to and from Mc Cleary. When I come home I'll share some conversations I had yesterday. They were enlightning in a disturbing way. I just checked in to see if there was new news.

If I never had to say this again I'd be shouting praises every day. How does a child just disappear into thin air??? How do these criminals keep getting away with it?? No one sees a thing, no one knows anything. Lead the way Lindsey...hoping answers are found today.

Thanks for all this info about the white Cougar sedan. I have a hunch someone who knows how to research these things could find out what has happened to this car in the meantime. It seems unlikely (to me) that anyone would have paid to have it driven back to Oklahoma....I wonder if it was sold and re-registered in Washington. If someone could get the VIN (Vehicle Information Number) by using the OK plate number, I think it could be tracked. But I don't know how to do that.

TIA for any help with this matter.

MOO.

Thanks for the warm welcome. My first thought was that some low life was looking for something to do on a Friday night around 930 and was heading for the casino on SR101. If that low life lived in, say, Porter, he would go through McCleary to get there. The last pictures on the page are of Porter. But after I read other's speculations mine didn't seem as plausible. A roadside "grab" even during twilight must be a rarity. I'm new.

I'm going to be gone next week but I want to spend some time down there when I get back. Start a to do list for me.

Mike
Hi Mike! Welcome to Websleuths! Thank you for the great photos! Ummm, who was driving, while you were shooting those? Tell me you have a co-pilot, and I won't worry so much about you (or your sanity).

I have wondered what kind of communication there is between Tribal Police and other local law enforcement agencies in the area: do they share information on a regular basis, say, on area sex offenders? I'd like to think they all work together on everything, but really have no idea. And now my head is full of questions like how many RSOs are Native Americans? If one of these lives on tribal land, does the state of Washington also count (and list) him/her as an offender in the state registry? Who investigates serious crimes on reservations, and where are those criminals housed? My sense is that there are definite divisions between agencies, but my only experience of that comes from living through three seasons of wildfires here in San Diego, watching  firefighters work together on TV.

You can relax, Mike. I don't expect you to know the answers to these questions just because you mentioned the casino! Your post was just the prod I needed to remind me to go find some answers myself. If I come up with anything interesting, I'll let you all know.

hahaha probably should keep tabs on my sanity anyway. My daughter questions it regularly. She's got 18 years experience figuring me out. I was not flying when I took those pictures. But I regularly do my work solo. I'm good at it.

Regarding my mistake at identifiying Malone as Porter. I'll fix that. Any SOs in Malone?

Malone is 9 miles to the south of McCleary. There are two arterials intersecting in McCleary. The North/South arterial is the one that Lindsey would have had to cross. If someone was transiting from the west you would use the other one. If someone was going to the casino from the east they would take SR101 instead of SR8 throughg McCleary. If someone was coming from points further south on SR12 they would probably stay on SR12 to the intersection of SR8 and enter McCleary from the west and miss Lindsey's route. It's two and a half mile further but most people won't take the backroads. Maybe, but probably not. That leaves Malone, or that area. The people there are familiar with the shortcut and would use it.

My whole premise is based on the perp being on the way to the casino which is 11 miles to the north of McCleary. Why else would this person be transiting the area? I think there is a tavern at Malone. I would be very curious who left that tavern at 9:30 that Friday night.

I further speculate that the person would exit town back to the south. That's why I took pictures of that road all the way to Malone. My logic was that if a person was driving through and they saw someone it would take a second to consider the situation. By the time a decision was made they would need to execute a u-turn. If you see a garage sale sign when you're just driving around often you need to go by and then turn around. So the person is heading south after abducting someone. He's not going to execute another u-turn and head into less familiar country.

That's just my speculation and it could be as wrong as anyone elses. But maybe it will trigger something among those of you that know more of the details of the case. I hope so.
