Looks to me like the retirement apartment community behind the VFW hall...I believe it's called Rainbow Park Apts. or something like that.

Thank you! :)

I live in Aberdeen and I was wearing a Find Lindsey pin and people we went to meet was surprised that she was still missing! They said they haven't heard anything lately and thought everything was ok now. HOW I WISH!
SO ..... they said they would like to see more activity in other towns like maybe people could hand out fliers at the Loggers Playday Parade! I would think someone would have to get permission for that but maybe not. Praying for her safe return. Yvonne

YvonneCares, Welcome to Websleuths.

That is a fantastic idea. No permission is needed to distribute flyers. You can go here to download and print the flyer. Please feel free to do this if you'd like.

Hi Jenn I think I know you from the search or maybe not.
I would do that if I could but I can't my ink is empty ):
I was hoping there was a way to get more people and fliers from donations maybe.

Thanks for the welcome. I would love nothing more than to see Lindsey found.
Blessings, Yvonne

If you are talking about the search from last week... yes, I was one of the crazy ladies running around like a chicken with her head cut off telling everyone what to do and where to go. Breanna was the other one. ;)

Well unfortunately I found out tonight that the search fund is empty. No money there to make copies.. hopefully some funds will start coming in. We might have some flyers in storage already printed up. I will talk to Melissa and find out.
When is the Loggers Playday? I might be able to get you some flyers if you are willing to hand them out.
If not, I might be able to get someone else to do it that might go.

Here's something:

You can call NCMEC to get copies of its intake and release forms mailed or sent to you via fax and to get information on how you can have a color picture of your child posted on NCMEC's Web site, distributed to NCMEC's photo partners, and printed on fliers for you to distribute.

Another resource that should be tapped, if it hasn't already:

NCMEC also manages and coordinates Project ALERT (America's Law Enforcement Retiree Team), a free consultation service on missing children cases for law enforcement agencies.

AMECO is a national association of missing and exploited children's organizations that work together to serve and protect missing children and their families. You can call AMECO to find out the names of nonprofit missing children's organizations -- both in your community and throughout the country -- that can provide assistance and support to you and your family.

Just throwing stuff out there -

 Haddie your the best! Maybe if enough calls are made in Lindsey's behalf a quicker response may happen. Nothing wrong with testing the waters to see who bites.

I've been mulling over two things, Lindsey's fear of a "witching hour" and her reading the Twilight series. I wonder what other books she was reading, if she has books at home, if she got most of them through the library, etc.

There is a popular children's series, listed as grades 6-10 - called The Midnighters. Some quotes from product description:
Nobody is safe in the secret hour.

Strange things happen at midnight in the town of Bixby, Oklahoma.

Time freezes.

Nobody moves.

For one secret hour each night, the town belongs to the dark creatures that haunt the shadows. Only a small group of people know about the secret hour -- only they are free to move about the midnight time.
I know that "witching hour" type stuff is common in all sorts of supernatural - horror type fiction but since these specific books are current, very popular with youth, and there are copies at the regional Timberland libraries - I keep thinking of them. Sounds like Lindsey's fear doesn't exactly match this description, but it may come from the same type of reading material.

I'm just brainstorming here, visiting McCleary today and Lindsey is about all I can think about at the moment.

An idea - we can contact various media, thank them for their coverage so far, and ask that they do another report soon:

The Olympian newspaper online contact form

Tacoma News Tribune

KOMO

KING

Q13 KCPQ News tips and feedback
[email protected]

Tacoma The News Tribune [email protected].

KIRO

Seattle PI

The Daily World - maybe through their Letter to the Editor link

The Vidette has a 9/3 article, maybe we can thank them and encourage more

Who else would be good to contact?

:coffee: Hi SarahC - Thanks for that. I started with the Olympian and emailed them this:

Is there anyone available to do another follow up on the Lindsey Baum investigation? LE has been so very quiet for such a long time now, the leads are drying up as quickly as the search funding.

Looking on from Iowa, and praying someone responds to the Reward for Information money ... so that Lindsey's mom can get some sort of closure before the cold winds of winter begin to blow ... and the search for Lindsey Baum along with them.

Thank you for all you do and for all you have done on Lindsey's behalf. I look forward to reading what ever story you can develop.

I'll continue down the list. Thank You Sarah ~

Right now my plan is to be involved in any search that happens this weekend. However, that is depending on circumstance, my father is in the hospital, not expected to live past the next few hours, cancer and age. I am home now for a quick bite to eat and nap, then back to the hospital.

Thanks DD for continuing to think of Lindsey even though you're certainly dealing with your own personal stresses right now. Times like this are never easy. Take care and again, I'm very sorry to hear about your father.

Dear Haddie, What would we ever do without you :blowkiss:

I think these proactive efforts are all very good and every contact will help keep Lindsey's name in front of the public.

I also think when a case starts to go stale what investigators do is go back to the beginning and re think everything related to the crime scene itself.

I'm a bit old school so don't think the seeming inactivity in the case means the investigators are in a quandry and have nothing going in the case. Dedicated investigators always have their cases alive in the back of their minds. Seeing one thing might spark a similarity with another case and lead to new clues.

Why in fact I know of one investigator in that very area who only had 2 unsolved cases when he retired and still to this day is working to put these cases to rest. Just because they are from a small town scenario doesn't mean they don't have the dedication and knowledge it takes to solve cases IMO. And they continually have all the expertise of the FBI up in Seattle.

I hope one of the 'local yokel's' crack Lindsey's case because I have implicit faith in them. Ya Ya
