Do we know for sure that the place the son (of the homeowners who had their place searched this weekend) worked STILL has not been searched? Could it be that they were trying to match things from the home to another location, as in, that place of work in one of the rumored empty rooms? Like certain issues of the magazine in one and the missing or subsequent ones elsewhere...or something like that? Or even other issues being in an outbuilding or something?

It's late, I hope what I'm asking/thinking is making sense. Ha ha

Could be? I don't think we even know if they had jobs or where they worked?

I'm most interested in the white car, as I imagine LE will be looking very closely at during their investigation. At first I was thinking that if it was a kid from town, the girls would have known who he was. But then I started thinking that might not be the case. How many kids are in the school? As most here know, I live in a small town. My kids are 6 years apart and my sons don't know most of the kids that each other had in their graduating classes. That much of an age gap is HUGE when you're young. The only way they would know a 19 or 22 year old was if their families had known each other or if the boys helped coach sports or something along that line.

Relatives confirm a man at the house was the focus of the investigation and search. One of his relatives said, "the only reason they were doing this search is, he gave a wrong answer to a question by a detective on the telephone."

.... If this family were truly interested in helping find Lindsey, they should have welcomed the search. Opening up your property to do a search was asked of most people in McCleary early on and this is no different, imo.

Snipped for space...

With all due respect Seriouslysearching - I would NEVER let LE into our home and onto our property 3 months after a child went missing. I know we would demand the search be done legally - a search warrant in hand. LE everywhere, can and have become overwhelmed by the urgency to solve crimes involving a missing child. The Constitution was created for our protection against LE swarming our homes in an unexpected manner. Judging people as being 'uninterested' who don't willingly open up their home for LE, is a judgement even our Constitution, judges, and court rooms will not make. If the majority of people begin to judge those who don't willingly open their doors to LE on a PRN basis - they will render our Constitution to that of a worthless piece of paper. MHO

Excellent point, Take! They weren't illegal so why did they take them? :waitasec: It would make sense if it was to compare as could be done in the case with the condoms, but the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 mag?! Are they looking for DNA perhaps? (Ewwww) I can't figure out a reason to take the magazine other than that one tho.

With the condoms, they can match lot and batch numbers. What can they match to a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 mag?

I fully expect the computers to have been taken into custody, but the news didn't mention them.

First I have to say Note's post was a little jewel of thought. Par excellente!

And I would also agree about them taking any computers there, maybe looking for back up to tie in with any computers Lindsey had used which I am sure they already have searched thoroughly. Any search of a property they do in a case like this I think they would take the computer. When they arrested the acting caretaker at the Straddleline Park LE walked out the door with the computers he used there. It is standard I think.

As to the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 mag, you probably hit that nail on the head SS. Makes me shiver to think of it. Just sayin'

ITA with you Eyes. But if you open the door and see a search warrant staring you in the face isn't it then against the law to refuse to let them in? If you said forget it and locked the door I think they would bust it in, swat style.

The warrant must state that all occupants of the home are ordered by the court to leave the property immediately, right?

OMG, I can't figure out what happened to the proper quote Eyes. Off to bed I go. LOLOLOL

Oh, you are so right! If they have a warrant, it means a judge has signed it with probable cause for a search. You cannot turn down a search warrant and say...tomorrow would be better. I didn't mean that at all. The comment was that people should open their doors even if there is no warrant...and if they don't, they are uninterested. I simply don't agree with that judgement. Guess I'm not about to give LE any more authority then they already have. Night night scandi...my spelling is as bad as yours and worse tonight.

Simply because nothing jumped out at LE on this search does not mean anything. The car, imo, was the most important piece of evidence they took in from this search. It is reasonable to believe Lindsey was taken away in a vehicle. She may not have been taken to the houses or that property.

I don't hear LE saying the members of this family have been cleared yet and I have to believe it is not an oversight on their part. They are not finished investigating this to a conclusion either way, imo.

Absolutely. It also doesn't seem likely that a perp would go home and announce a crime was committed so while the family states they are innocent, it stands to reason that they really don't know. They'll have to wait for the forensics just like the rest of us.

I think we all need to be tucked in. I'll bet that's not on a mod's job description, so I'll do the honors!

Goodnight everyone! May tomorrow be the day Lindsey is found!!! :praying:

I agree with Tim. He puts his heart and soul in every search. And, as each of you stated if it was my child I would have utilized every resource available. However, I'm not sure what to make of Melissa B.'s handling of any of the searches.(could put a better thought together)
MB, IIRC Harry Oaks was called in by someone else and MB made it very clear that it had not been her choice and went out of her way to not cooperate with him nor his search. Didn't someone early on look into having TM do a search? IIRC TM and TES would come out but only if requested by the parent, which MB failed to do.
MB has made it to vigils and spoke before a crowd. But, that isn't the same as an active search where one walks the trails, looks thru bushes, under rocks or inside empty containers.
MB has, however, met with a loosely termed public media specialist who has done nothing that I can see to help in the physical search for Lindsey.
Frustrated? Yes. Too many children are disappearing with less than 100% effort of the parental authorities being used to search for their lost child. Why aren't we seeing these parents doing what Tim Mill, Mark Lunsford, The Smart Family, Mark Klass or Amber Dubois's parents doing in searching for their loved ones?

I do not feel they (LE) would have taken just any "🤬🤬🤬🤬" magazine. It would be my opinion it would be more of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 taken from the home. Millions of people have 🤬🤬🤬🤬 mags in there home, now child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 is a whole other story and would certainly raise some eybrows with LE.
Moo of course

This is an ewwww - but I want to know if the condoms were used?

I agree about the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 mags. Playboy, Hustler, etc. are not illegal. Why were the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 mags gathered up?

And I can hardly wait to see what the white car turns up?

Also, I thought one article, in the early part of this search, implied that LE had gathered some fibers and hairs? Was I wrong in my interpretation of that?

Maybe for profiling, I know that different men react to different 🤬🤬🤬🤬, levels of graphicness, ages of woman, if even woman, children, men, animals etc, who knows really but it was taken for a reason.

Also on the condom note I agree with stock and brand but I do recall, please don't ask me when...... I lurk here alot early on there was mention of items found in a park which included a used condom. If I am mistaken I do apologize.

Can someone help in finding a link to the condom taken? This would be a huge to show LE was trying to compare brands and DNA back to Lindsey. Thanks

http://www.kirotv.com/news/21142578/detail.html

I saw it here about them taking one, I'm not sure if your talking about the items from the early search

I will look tho....

maybe best to hold off on the early search I remember now that it was when KK was posting and there was talk of a flip flop and garbage including a used condom but I don't know if it was ever established as truth.

Sorry all...........this is why I lurk, my brain and mouth aren't in snyc

Don't worry about it if it was KayKay (she has my initials) stated LE had a used condom. Now if LE stated a used condom was found that would be something to take to the bank of sluething.
