To be honest, there area lot of things odd about this.

Chief among them (in my mind) the fact that someone in the household of the possible POI shared a copy of the SW and what was listed as taken with someone elsewhere online.

Have we ever had a possible POI disclose a SW online to another individual from a message board before LE released it?

Never that I remember. Why would they do that? Trying to trump the police so it is out there before LE is ready for it to be? There has to be a reason LE decided to wait 5 days to put it out to the public. For one thing it is the duty of the prosecutor to sign for the release of the SW's, and that coulc take time. I would think they would want everything analyzed before releasing it. With Michelle Young it took months for them to release the SW's.

BTW the SW's will be on line within a couple of hours so it is said by a friend of the family who has their own site. Even though I want to study them as much as anyone else, I'm now thinking this is wrong ethically to do. Maybe I'm wrong, but they were sealed for 5 days for a reason and we don't want anything to jeopardize the case, right?

Maybe I'm too critical. xox

Never to my knowledge. The only SWs I have ever seen were put out by the media and in accordance to the Sunshine Law in Florida or the equivalent in other states. I do not recall a POI doing it in any case. It is truly odd behavior.

Anyone know what time they are going to release any info? I haven't seen anything in the media about it.

I can't find out online where we can get a copy of it ourselves. Do we have to wait for the 5 oclock news tomorrow?

Hi Jennifer, I think Kalekona posted here that they would be released on Oct 1st. She's local I guess. xox

Scandi, It's my understanding that what is posted *over on the other site* can't be posted/discussed here. Because it's not coming from an *official* source.

Am I correct in my thinking?

I've sat on my hands so long my fingers are purple....come on already....tell me what I think I already know! There has been an amazing amount of info collected but we can't post because they won't release the dang SW with the name in it.

Anyone interested in a good game of charades?
2 words
1st word, 1 syllable, sounds like nail
2nd word 2 syllables sounds like soldier

I've always sucked at charades. Can I buy a vowel?

Oh wait! Wrong game, huh?

I do know you are telling the truth, SCSleuther, because those things do happen just as you have described them. However, this is a rather high profile case and LE can't get away with just anything here. They have the FBI actively involved and the FBI is not going to risk their credibility for some "good ole' boy action", imo.

oh, so sorry SS, I was not in any way trying to seem like I was comparing the two cases!
I absolutely agree with you about the Feds. I hope they are all up in local LE's business.

It could be days before we know what is in those things.

Breathe people breathe!!

lol

I had that same thought Jennifer since it is the balywick of the prosecutor. I don't want to be negative, but things happen, and maybe she will decide something else needs to be done first or have a sample retaken, etc IMO

If that happens tho we will still have that site to read the warrants and I will feel less guilty then at this trumping of the judiciary.

It is unheard of IMO, first to release a SW before all forensics have been tested, right? Anyone know. Tp even complete all the forensics in 5 days would be a real push I would think.

And if anyone has an idea on why the family gave them to a friend to publish I'd like to read your ideas. What advantage would it be to them? It must be legal for them to do this, right? xox

ETA: Oh, maybe this friend is an attorney?

Man Who Buried Jessica Lunsford Alive Has Died

May he now receive justice from the Good Lord himself!

I think we can refer to it as 'o'er yonder', no direct quoting from there, but I was referring to the posters own site which is where I think it will be posted. xox

Yes unless it can be verified by an independent source. Then you can bring the source independent of the other site (generally media) but not the discussion.

Does that make sense?

Here is an article about a SW in the Michelle Young case in North Carolina. Their laws might be diff than Wa's, but it gives you an idea of how involved a SW can be:

"Warrant gives new look into Michelle Young murder probe

Posted: Nov 6, 2008

Raleigh, N.C. — Wake County authorities found a number of Internet searches, including "head trauma knockout" and "anatomy of a knockout," were made on one of Jason Young's computers prior to the beating death of his wife, Michelle Young, more than two years ago.

The information comes from affidavits that investigators gave a Superior Court judge to back up a request for a new search warrant for the computer that Novo Nordisk had assigned to Jason Young. The executed warrant was returned Thursday after investigators got the computer from the Williams Mullen law firm on behalf of the company. . . ." {more at link]

ETA: Here is the original SW in the Young case. It looks pretty general to me. And then as the investigation progressed they had individual warrants for things like emails, computer, etc:
