I'm sure this article is around here already, but it has a nice synopsis of the case so far, and goes far enough as to call DG a possible suspect, instead of just POI. Off to see if it's in the media thread yet.
:online:
After reading the entire article and researching I come away with a different take. I read, "Most recent in a series of people, who police have looked a closely at in the case might have been Persons of Interest." This statement seems to say only recently out of many have LE taken a closer look at the young man. Does this mean others in the series of people will be looked closely as well? This statement may have been made for many reasons I might be able to explain and it is said by Undersheriff RS, "Theres been alot of different people who had our attention & might have been called Person of Interest." "it might have been hours or a matter of days." meaning," The person or persons may have been called this term by LE for a few hours or days." " The case where we (LE) served these warrants was just like that, but after having looked at what was found we are pursuring other leads. " Sounds like LE may go back to look at those series of people??? According to the American Journalist review this term does not exist. " Officially, person of interest means..well,nothing. No one has ever formally defined it--not police, not prosecutors, not journalist. The terms accused, allege, arrest and indict all are dealt with in the Associated Press Style book, but there is no listing for "person of interest" similarly, the US Attorney's Manual--the official guide to federal criminal prosecution --uses the terms "suspect "suspect," "subject," "target," and "material witness,' but "persons of interest" gets no mention. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Person_of_interest gives a better understanding of this term, "adopted by the media " "LE agencies have picked up the term. "It has no legal meaning, but it is catchy term." This term is subect to law suites. LE stated they are looking into other leads at this point. LE returned one of their most vital pieces of evidence, the car. It would seem LE is going to pursue other avenues in the criminal investigation or they would have tried to find something to keep this young man in custody. I think the operative word exsonerated might be the next word this young man and his family may want to hear. Will this happen? Your guess is as good as mine. I'm just glad LE is talking and remains investigating all leads in this criminal case. :smiliescale: :bedtime:

Jeez! Do I have to cry again? Hi Destiney. I know you're with me.

The search center, the pictures this weekend, it was emotional. We finally have a place for our search and our Lindsey. It was just hard at times.

Anyway...chokes back tears. Poor JVK. Surrounded by women who cry, he hasn't got a chance :)

Yes, they are. It's hard to look at but yet we do, and we smile and keep on going. There was a new one today....JVK, did you see that? I don't think you did. Someone made a brand new big bulletin board....put it over by the kitchen area.

Choked me up :(

I know. This weekend was emotional, but I think JVK can handle it.

Take this for what you will, but I spoke with a retired Assist. Chief of the Seattle PD tonight and asked why someone would be a POI one day and then not one the next. His answer was that they have to prove a person is a POI before the judge will sign off on the search warrant. If nothing further is found from the search, the person is no longer called a POI. However, if the forensic results come back connecting the person to the case, or new information/evidence surfaces the person would again be considered a POI or suspect. In the meantime, the police continue to follow leads and keep the person on their radar.

Darn it!

I listened to the old song. Between that and these pictures I'm going to cry.

Hey Jenn....you evil one :)

Erik told me today that he sent his song to local radio stations....said that KGY here in Oly played it...I never heard it.

Anyway...he said he was emailing all his songs/CD's to Janelle at mynorthwest.com.....then he found out just recently that she no longer works there. So then he said he contacted Don at the Ron and Don show...and they told him to send him the CD.

I was there for one of his "I hate paperclip" conversations. I was thinking just like you that a gift of paperclips would be perfect for him.

Blame it all on me! ;)

I'm bouncing between reading the forums, working in Excel and falling asleep at my dining room table.

reports-DONE and emailed to the Operations Specialist or what ever the hell title he has
reg forms- entered into excel and now they need to be separated and filed with the proper people. That'll have to wait until morning. I'm beat.

night all
