WASHINGTON (October 26, 2009)—The FBI has rescued 52 children in a series of child prostitution raids around the country, FBI officials said Monday.

Authorities say the youngest victim was just 10 years old.

The bureau and local police officials also arrested 60 pimps during the three-day enforcement effort in 36 cities.

The raids are the latest in a long-running Operation Cross Country aimed at child prostitution rings around the country.

Almost 1,600 agents and officers took part in the raids, which led to federal and state charges against a total of 691 suspects.

The investigations typically target places where minors are likely to be sold for sex, including truck stops, casinos, public streets, and Internet Web sites.

“Child prostitution continues to be a significant problem in our country, as evidenced by the number of children rescued through the continued efforts of our crimes against children task forces,” said Kevin Perkins, Assistant Director of the FBI’s Criminal Investigative Division.

“There is no work more important than protecting America’s children and freeing them from the cycle of victimization. Through our strategic partnerships with state and local law enforcement agencies, we are able to make a difference, he said.
Well thank all the Gods, the FBI, and local police officials in 36 cities!!
They rescued 52 children!
They arrested 60 pigs (oops, typo - s/b pimps)!
They arrested 60 pigs!
They have charged a total of 691 suspects with federal and/or state crimes!
YAY!

“There is no work more important than protecting America’s children and freeing them from the cycle of victimization. Through our strategic partnerships with state and local law enforcement agencies, we are able to make a difference," he said.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
(edited to thank fleececreations for the story - thank you, fleececreations!)

Hi Note, An so glad to hear your little one is doing better. Don't take this wrong, but when a papa gets sick it is usually much more work taking care of him that if it were the little one. LOL BELIEVE ME, in my vast experiences in life, that is one thing I learned. Ya YA

And thanks for the Jason Report. See you tomoz. xox

It seems the "rush" of posters from the search warrant has pretty much faded completely now. Praying for news and answers to bring Lindsey home before the holidays.

its a waiting game now.. we are hoping something comes back from the search warrent that was acted on in september... just hoping we get a clue or someone breaks...

Pretty darn quiet in here Ms. Scandi :waitasec:

You may have a point 17seconds.

'Tis indeed Miss Knox. ;} I feel an undercurrent tho of minds searching and strategies being honed to trap a killer. That is, those who are intent on solving the case sitting over there in Montesano and I think a few up in Seattle.

Wouldn't one think it would be easy to outfox a coward, someone who would hide a body and then per the Astro thread go back and moved it as he was so skeered?

Can you tell I just watched Criminal Minds. LOL I think I might go re-read our profile thread and try to come up with a more current profile. With nothing really new in the media, from LE or the Prosecutor, we are driven back to the scene of the crime. What we think is the scene of the crime, right?

I sure miss SeriouslySearching and her constant input here which was always tempered with logic and yet she easily walked out of the box to look and explore her thoughts. I hope you are well SS and know we all miss you and hope you are back super soon. :blowkiss:

Hi Seventeenseconds, If it weren't for the Astros believing she was moved once I would think more about Interpol.

I don't think it is SOP in a missing child case even tho Aberdeen is a port that leads out to the sea. Quite sure. I think it is a possibility we can't rule out yet till we know more.

I've just got this hankerin' feeling she was put very close to the spot from where she was taken and then maybe moved down towards Cosmopolis. Or maybe in the NW corner of the Capitol Forest, or over off one of those many logging roads that circle the water tower.

What I think of most is a place out in the countryside where a bright green carpet of grass forms a half circle that abuts a tall growth of Fir trees.

I know she will be found. She just has to be. It is only a matter of when IMO xox

Hi Fleece, I am kind of surprised for it to be taking so long for the forensics to come back. Do you know where they were sent?

Hopefully there will be something - a fingerprint or stray hair, something out of place or something the person forgot to finish. We just have to stay positive and keep that energy flowing in Lindsey's direction.

xox

as a search center volunteer, we know nothing more then everyone else. the le is being very careful not to say a single word to us. we must keep her name in the media, her smile on every tv across the country until Lindsey comes home.
