I know that when I'm in a serious cheesecake mood, I gorge on that 1st slice and then the 2nd. By the time I've finished that 2nd slice and I'm looking at the 3rd, I'm thinking:

"No. More. Cheesecake. Ever."

Now, I might go back to it now and again, but I'll tell you, my serious cheesecake moods come less often ... too much of anything is the best aversion therapy of that anything.

I agree with you in theory, but not in application. I know that if my child was a victim, I would NEVER want that.

For many years, I have voiced my opinion that these pervs should be subjected to "research"--inundate them with electroshock therapy, etc.

A possibly more relevant question is what do we do to keep the next generation from growing up the same way?

Research? Perp's sexual impulsions and desires? If definitives can be determined as to which perps consciously choose that path and which perps simply are genetically 'hard-wired' for such desire, then I might agree.

I expect my inundation method to be applicable to perps who've chosen the dark side. I wouldn't expect much result against the 'hard-wired' perps.

Researching the pedophile fantasies, longings, and urges would be next to impossible - preventing such longings might be more malleable to research. Your 'inundation' method is that what most call 'aversion therapy'? And if so, what would you inundate them with? TIA mho

If you read studies on the sexualized child - you have to ask yourself, where and how does a 3, 4 or 5yo learn to become sexualized? Are they born that way? How do they know at age 4 or 5 what humping is, or what grooming another entails, or what sexual acts can be tried with naked dolls? Studies I have read suggest that virtually every sexualized child was sexually abused and/or shown graphic child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 over time. Sounds to me as if they were inundated with explicit sexual acts from a very early age.

Would be interested in hearing what you would 'inundate' the child/adult pedophile with so that an aversion is formed?

on this side-topic, will add my :twocents:

We know The Human Brain is adept at re-wiring itself, in good ways or bad.

Whether we like it or not, repetitive actions/thoughts/feelings strengthen or eventually create new neural pathways in the brain - the so-called hard-wiring which affects choices and governs behavior.

Positive example: Think in terms of the physical therapies used to help brain-injured individuals. With proper conditioning, lost skills can often be regained in part by re-routing the neural pathways of the brain. It requires a lot of time and effort and desire, but the results can be miraculous.

Negative example: Picture someone sitting around day after day indulging in sadistic 🤬🤬🤬🤬 or violent computer games. What about violent sports? These "negative therapies" also require time and effort and desire. What sort of new neural pathways get created those ways? A predisposition for a "temporary lapse of judgment" someday? Maybe a full blown addiction or psychological illness? A predator in the making?

One key ingredient in re-wiring of the brain seems to be "desire". But addictions are inherently based on greed (especially abnormal sexual addictions), therefore, the chances of achieving aversion from "too much of it" is almost impossible, IMhO.

...it's a difficult problem, isn't it? :banghead:

Very very interesting Jules. WOWSERS Criminal traffic, criminal non-traffic and infraction traffic. The common denominator there is 'traffic' and that of the 3 persons is Lindsey. What does everyone make of that?

Don't you wonder if this all fits together somehow? It sounds like they were all cited the same day to all go to court on the same day, right? Wonder what they were up to?

Explanation of a traffic infraction and a criminal traffic offense:

What is a Traffic Infraction? Traffic violations fall into two categories, traffic infractions and criminal traffic offenses. Traffic infractions are "non-criminal offense for which imprisonment may not be imposed as a sanction." (RCW 46.63.060.) Criminal traffic offenses, which carry the possibility of imprisonment, are defined at RCW 46.63.020. They include, among others, driving under the influence, reckless or negligent driving, and vehicular assault. If an offense is not listed at RCW 46.63.020, it is a traffic infraction.

Thanks Eyes, Melissa did have a ticket for some infraction to do with her car itself, non-criminal, Libby was poking an officer, about as dumb as doing this :croc:, criminal non-traffic and Dale having a loud noticable car might have had a citation that he could be jailed for, criminal traffic. Who knows. xox

Hi TakeNote, I don't know. All the citations are from the McCleary PD. Maybe they only hold court a few times a month, in courtroom #1 and early in the morning. :waitasec: Small town, right? I did think Melissa's infraction was a while ago tho, like it was faulty equipment or something like that. I guess one would have to go back thru the arrest records if one can to see what Dale's problem was and we know Libby was just arrested and released a few days ago.

And then, we don't know all the people who we have never heard of who have citations and will be in court at the same place and time. Je ne sait! xox

I wonder, an FBI tactic? To have some relevant players in the same room at the same so FBI behavior experts on-site can 'observe' ... ?

It could be a great time to do search warrants ? No one home to argue ?

Where do these " people " get their money for all of their fines, penalties, and lawyers ? Maybe by selling a child ?

I'm already sick to my stomach for MomB.

I can't imagine having to face DG in such close quarters, afterall, everyone is still a possible POI, especially since they never officially closed the book on him.

Hopefully, the powers that be will realize the terrible conflict here and reschedule MB to another day and time.

This court date should be interesting! I would love to see and hear the :gavel: of:Justice: in McCleary. Western Wa. needs the equivilant of Kathy Belich to approach :Benny_monkeysmiliesas they enter & leave the courthouse. This may be a most uncomfortable day for the three but also for the family members/friends in support of them.

You hit the nail on the head. :)

It's no wonder then that small-town folk know so much about each other. I would never know of a neighbor's traffic court appearances unless he specifically told me or I purposefully researched for but it seems in McCleary many have no choice since court hearings are scheduled group en masse.

I understand, though that it's all about efficiency. Why have daily open court days when the perp list typically is onesey-twosey during any given month.
