WA - Lindsey Baum, 10, McCleary, 26 June 2009 - #2

Anyone know the name of the woman who says she saw Lindsey @ 9:15? Anyone know where this woman works that she would be leaving at 9:15 to go to work? Seems rather odd leaving the house @ 9:15pm to go to work. Isn't most shift work like 7-3, 3-11, and 11-7? Did I read correctly that this woman said she knows it was Lindsey because she knows Lindsey? If so, then how does she know Lindsey?

I haven't heard who the woman was or where she worked. But there are several casinos and prisons in the area.
I don't know about the Shelton prison but the prison in Aberdeen has shifts from 2pm-10 pm, 10pm-6 am and 6am -2 pm (there are others obviously but these fit into the time frame).

I don't know what the shifts at the casino are like but 10 pm doesn't sound like an odd hour for a shift change in a place that is open until 4 or 5 am.

McCleary is a small town. She might not have known Lindsey by name but she's more than likely seen her running around town at some time.

In the home detectives found an 18-month-old child identified as Case's son.

Investigators said because he continually lied about being a transient, the sheriff's department had no idea this convicted child molester was now living with a young child of his own.

The child was taken into the custody of Child Protective Services and detectives said the mother, Case's girlfriend, was under the legal age of consent when she became pregnant.

These actions allowing these little kids out at 9 at night is driving me crazy. Its 5 after 9, I lit two lights just to walk out to my car and I hurried because its pitch black out there.

I don't believe it was the same woman heading out to work who was driving. She was asked how she knew it was definetly Lindsey and she said because she knows her.

I'd also like to know who the other witness was that came forward with a verified sighting on Friday night. An adult? A child? Someone near the Shell station?

I wonder which other surveillance tapes were obtained?

Jvk took pictures in McCleary after 9:00 last night and it was still very light.
However, I don't think a 10 year old should be outside and away from home at that time.

Yep, Tuesday night I was mowing my lawn between 9 and 10 pm because I had been lazy all day and did it at the last possible minute.

That city-online picture was in fact pointing straight down Maple @ the Shell station.

It's also nearly right in front of '647

Here is what's on the other side of that rail

.. The end of Maple st (last house is 655 iirc) (right next to 647) is basically closed off (enclosed in) toward the west & south.

On the east (behind the house(s)) there's some forest

@ The very end of maple is a water treatment plant

The bus station (which is very small) The Shell station is about ~30ft behind.

Here is 1 of 2 (useless) Shell station Cameras. This camera wouldn't pick up anything except for people literally pulling up to or going into Shell.

This is the 2nd (useless) camera which sits ontop of the pump(s) roof (lack of a better word) What it's aimed at i have no idea but it seriously serves no purpose whatsoever. It might as well be pointing at the sky (it nearly is) - You can see it in the first picture ^ to the right of the stop sign

This is looking east up 3rd st. (bus station just to the right, out of picture)

The Police Station looks more like a warehouse (well, i guess you can't tell from this pic) i may have seen 2 (LE) cars but most of the time just one.

There was the person who sent the brother home while she was walking w/her friend over to friend's house. We don't know WHO that person was.

Then there was the female who was driving to work and recognized her and said she was 2/3 or 3/4?? on her way back toward home.

And there was the person in the video store who said the kids came in @8:15. I don't recall if they rented any videos but they were in the store earlier.

Was there someone else?

I can understand that but knowing this child had to cross that many intersections, I wouldn't have called it 4 blocks... I definitely would have said either 1/2 mile or at least 8 intersections...

Something is strange bout KK....

1st it was the kids aren't allowed on myspace...then it's "i" monitor her usage.

2nd it was conflicting stories on who told LB she had to go home before dark... BUT the boyfriend passes a poly... no word on KK

3rd...she loves to be the lil journalist/blogger/writer/whatever

I've known parents who claim that they monitor their children's computer activity but they do not. They either are not computer savvy enough and don't want to admit it or are too wrapped up in their own lives and don't want to look like bad parents.

I meant to comment on this earlier. There is only one liquor store. I think it takes up two store fronts so it has two addresses listed on that page (notice they are next to each other 125 and 127)
That webpage also has two phone numbers listed, one is correct and one has numbers transposed.

A little something I know about a little something: There is a therapy group in Montesano in which sex offenders go to try to "fix" them or "heal" them as part of their "program." I wonder if he was ever involved with that group?

I was looking to find any sort of therapy/rehab program in Mccleary, whether SO or drug/alcohol, but I couldn't find anything other than the AA that was already mentioned.
How far is Montesano?

Oh wow! I had no idea there was a thread for her! Leave it to WS - sometimes I feel like you guys are truly the only ones who care! Her body was found though, so I think the thread would have to be moved, correct?
