Why did school get out on June 16th at 10:00 a.m.? Is that weird to anyone but me? I would have thought it would have been at least a 1/2 day ending around noon or so. It hardly seems worthwhile to get everyone up and off to school so they can come home 2 hours later?

Salem

Originally school was supposed to be out on the friday before but due to some snow storms we had earlier in the year we had a few make up days. In order for it to be called a "school day" the kids have to attend at least 2 hours. She might have gotten out a little later than 10. My daughters school district got out at 10:20 am because they start at 8:20 am. I'm not sure of the exact time of McClearys classes so I can't be positive she was out at 10 am. But it was, I'm assuming, close to that.

Link to all of Kara's posts.

Thanks again DarlinGal for this.

Bumping this for those who haven't read the posts. Lots of information in there per KK that we haven't heard here yet.

 • The fight about the bike was due to the fact that the bike had a broken or missing chain. Lindsey allegedly tired of pushing herselff around on it so wanted Josh to take it home. Neighbour broke the fight up and said take the broken bike home
 • girls only decided to ask about a sleep-over on the way to K's
 • the friends that the girls swam with live 1/2 block from video store. They were the ones who rented the movies @ 8:19 - then Lindsey went home to shower/change
 • friend of MB's paid Lindsey's dad's fight ticket?
 • KK thinks that the call she got from MB was around 10:25, but MB might have tried earlier - KK's phone was charging dead battery
 • Lindsey's family has apparently hired thier own independent tracker: http://www.[link removed]

Community remains hopeful
Sunday, July 5, 2009 1:14 AM PDT
<snipped>
Compared to a few days ago, downtown McCleary was quiet on Saturday. No helicopters circled overhead. Traffic was sparse and no satellite news trucks sat in parking lots. The mobile command center truck parked in front of the police station for much of the week, was gone.

“No one who was here last Friday remembered anything,” said Undersheriff Rick Scott. “We received a few suggestions about where to look or who we might talk to who might have been in the area, but we haven’t received any suggestions so original that they haven’t already been (looked at) in some way or form. The community has been helpful with its support, but even they are running out of ideas.”

Baum’s father flew in from Tennessee late Friday evening. He and family members sat on the porch Saturday afternoon looking out at the road, as if expecting Baum to come running up the driveway. He said he didn’t feel like talking to a reporter. He spoke with the Sheriff’s Office Saturday morning, but “wasn’t able to offer much more information,” Scott said.

A donation jar sits near the register at Kathy Stockam’s Five Cents to Five Bucks store.

“She was such a talkative kid,” Stockam said, noting Baum and a group of her friends had stayed at her store until closing time the night before Baum disappeared.

“She would come here a lot, sometimes two times a day. She came in here to remind me her birthday was coming up because we give kids a free helium balloon on their birthday. ... That’s the last I saw her. It’s heartbreaking.”

Scott said law enforcement officials will be spending the rest of the weekend continuing to go back over interviews that have already been conducted to see if any would warrant follow-up questions. He said the next steps would be expanding efforts into areas beyond McCleary and into Thurston County by enlisting the help of local citizens.

“It gets harder the further out you go to search outlying areas,” Scott said. “We’re asking private landowners or anyone who knows those areas well to search on their own properties and neighborhoods and to call us if they find anything unusual.”

Did anyone happen to read the 'stories' on the 'Quizzer' application of TWILIGHT FREAK MySpace? (On the left, towards the bottom). There are 3 stories there, and all about "missing" or 'disappeared' , or "died previously"people. I don't know how quizzer works, but seems a curious choice to have these stories on a page of a child that went missing...

I wonder what kind of dog Lindsey had? I would have taken her dog with me Friday night when I went out to look for her if I were the mother and friend. I would have walked the route with her dog and kept asking the dog, "Where is Lindsey? Where is she, boy/girl?" IDK if Lindsey's dog would have a keen sense of smell because I do not know what kind it is, but I certainly would have taken the dog and walked the route.

I just have to say that I really do not have a good feeling about KK or any friends that may have been at her house that night. I just get the feeling that she is not being entirely truthful. JMO.

ETA: :banghead:........I don't know how I missed that Lindsey had Kadence!

LaLaw... I thought the same thing... she has a german shepard...perfect dog, imo, to do that with :D

LaLaw She has a german shepard dog. The dog is shown in a video or two & is also mentioned in several articles. It is also her hat picture for her private MySpace page the one with the name "Disturbed" for it.

In one of the article's her mother said that her & her brother both did take the dog with them looking for her. I'd have to go back to find the article's & video's to find them. Though many others here can confirm that it is a german shepard.

I'll try to see if I can find you a link about her dog. Though right now I'm going to try to get some sleep....couldn't sleep at all last night.

ITA: Like many others here that KK's stories have changed & I do wonder if she is telling everything she knows. I don't think she had anything directly with her disappearence, but I have a gut feeling that she is holding back what
she thinks might have happened. I'm thinking she has a gut feeling,
just like so many of us here who might be involved in some way. Maybe she is afraid for her own daughter's saftey too!
Meaning who all was at her house that Friday night. I do doubt that her daughter would be able to lie to LE if she was questioned by them.

She raised Kadence from a puppy and she slept with her every night! I think this dog could find Linsdey if they would just turn her lose and track her. She is a beautiful Shepard isn't she.

I still have a bad feeling about a lot of people.
1. JM, house sits right there where it is most likely she disappeared IF she went that way (would he cover for someone else, son?)
2. WK, maybe she had a little crush on him, and he offered to take her home. Does have the weird myspace and the bodybuilding
3. EJ, owner of the house, named by the drunk and a number of criminal cases i can't access, ugh
4. NOW, this FL....all these moving violations make me want to know more about this person.

Hope tomorrow finds Lindsey safe, finally.

In post 992 in the Monkeys thread, KK said she hasn't seen WK in years. KK also said that LE had taken her work computer to copy her hard drive. I haven't seen that mentioned here.

Oh, momtective, Kadence could have tracked Lindsey! I am almost SURE of it! That is one gorgeous Shepard. If Lindsey raised her her from a pup and even let her sleep in the bed with her, then I am sure Kadence could have taken them to the place she last was! I so wish the mom and whomever the friend was that was with her had done this. :(

Can someone kindly direct me to a place/link where I could find at least the last name of ML, FL and FL? I'm wondering if it is forbidden to actually put their names on this forum, or if I just missed earlier mentions of them.

TIA.

Another note: KK mentioned Lindsey was wearing slip-on shoes & KK believes in a struggle they would've come off.

I haven't completely caught up with Lindsey's threads, but this statement really bothers me. KK is the friend's mother?

This statement makes me believe the shoes are out there somewhere to be found for KK to say "See, I told you so."

i don't know if this has been asked or even mentioned before. with the summer coming was/has there been any kind of carnivals, fairs, auto shows, anything of that nature in the area recently. is it possible a neighbor/local worked at one of these? being a local and having worked at say a carnival...kids at that age would recognize the person and consider knowing that person. they would/could possible accept a ride with that type of mindset.

I'm trying to follow this thread and understand who the people are. Since I'm not having much luck, could someone tell me whether or not the girl, whose house she was leaving, has a male relative in his twenties in this town or a neighboring town?

Also, any type of key to help me figure out the initials thing would be much appreciated.

Athy, I also think that Lindsey could have "recognized" her abductor and therefore thought that she "knew him" and that it was safe to get in his car. There are so many twists and turns in the reporting of this case that it's hard to know exactly what preceded little Lindsey's disappearance. JMO.

Also, is the "Capitol Forest" (where the arson was reported) near McCleary? TIA.

No one is pointing fingers at any 'one' person. When we sleuth we look at all close and and associated parties first.
In this case of WK, his name was brought to light simply because he's shown on either KK or her daughter MySp pages.
In addition, it is KK who said herself on another board, 'there were 4 other adults in the living room' (present) when Lindsey left her house.
Since we haven't heard who they were or if LE questioned them, it makes logical sense we would search deeper into the friends and associates.

Process of elimination, leave no stone unturned.

Hmmm possibly! The other thing I thought bout was that maybe someone else owned it & the L's rented from them...but you would think the property wouldn't have been foreclosed on if rent was being paid to the owners...

I think that happens quite alot, my brother in law is living in a rented house, pays his rent every month but the house is in foreclosure, the owener is using the rent to pay for the house he lives in.

he can not afford the rental house anymore.
