Here is a link to the information that I am seeing on MySpace for Twilight Freak join time:
http://s598.photobucket.com/albums/tt62/elepher50/Lindsey%20Baum/?action=view&current=twilightmyspace.png

Just waking up again.. so many pages to catch up on. But I figured I'd address this while it's still fresh in my mind. I joined MS when it first became popular (actually my page says 9/19/2004). Anyways, when I first joined the status was not changeable. It automatically said one specific thing (______ is in your extended network) and you had to deal with it. It wasn't until maybe a year ago that you were able to update it to say anything you wanted it to say. I note this because in that entire year I have never seen someones status be update automatically by MS. When LB's status says "____ has joined MySpace" I am led to believe that she wrote this herself as opposed to it automatically being placed there when she joined -- because from what I continue to witness, the status is automatically '_____ in your extended network' when you join.

This could be pertinent because LB may not have updated her status as soon as she joined. Maybe she waited a couple hours? Or days?

Edit: Upon looking again, it does appear that Lindsey signed up on 5/29/2009 as her status would reflect. Perhaps the circumstances upon joining have changed or LB really did update her status the second she joined. Getting that info from:

Gender: Female
Status: Single
Age: 100
Sign: Cancer

Happy Birthday, Lindsey. I hope you make it home on your special day!

Yes, today is Lindsey's birthday, isn't it? I hope that wherever Lindsey is today she is safe and well with someone who wishes no harm to her. This would be a great day for her to be located.

Happy birthday Lindsey.

This poor child. I can't believe they have turned up nothing.

Just reading the name of the town Corvallis, OR reminds me of Brooke Wilberger. It is entirely possible that Lindsey could have been abducted by someone passing through town and saw an opportunity since she was alone. Same thing apparently happened to Brooke. The accused murderer was in the area from out of state on his way to an arraignment for a traffic violation.

One other thing...the myspace situation.

LB had a cellphone...most have phones to text nowadays (im a textaholic) ... my plan has unlimited texting, pic mail, video msg & internet. I check my myspace from my cellphone quite a bit when im in bed and dont feel like getting my laptop or going to the computer. Some of the early morning times showing could very well be from her cell phone. Again...I don't know what kind of service she has but its a possibility.

LB's mom very well could have deleted the guest account or LB's account from the computer. It doesn't seem that Josh has a myspace and maybe that is because their mom really did block it and so forth. I know KK said that she monitored the myspace usage and such because the computer is right next to her BUT...I don't fully believe I would allow my 10 yr old to write "i may be small but ill kick ur a$$" or something along those lines in the "about me" section... and I just went look to get the exact wording and guess what ? it's gone now... so undoubtedly, it was not "supervised" well before and she had her go in and remove it... profile was last updated 7/1/09 at 329pm.

just my two cents...
I never thought about the cell phone, but you could be right. I wonder what cell service is like around McCleary and which services they offer? Most kids (not that you are a kid!), love texting and are more inclined to text than talk. Being on the internet would fit that bill, too.

I read another horror story last night on CNN about the girl of the slain officer from 1988 from CA. He picked her up out of her front yard while travelling through town as a "companion" or so Anderson said in his confession before he died.

I think today is hard on all of us, her family more so, of course. What do you say on a day like this? She should be turning 11 today, the reality of her situation, regardless of what it actually is, is too much to contemplate today.

I sure hope that if any other girls in surrounding areas were approached by someone suspicious, they will report it, and soon!

The accused murderer of Brooke Wilberger also tried to lure women walking on campus at the University of Oregon into his van using the "asking for directions" trick.

So many of you sleuths I think are doing a great job researching arrests or reports in the vicinity.

This person has to be checked out by LE and the FBI because of the prior places he has lived in and girls in that specific age group came up missing. Even if he wasn't in the area at the time, he obviously knew of the area.

I have not read further than your post, A_Closer_look, so quite possibly someone will have already pointed this out to the authorities. This is big, IMO.

I agree.
He also had a direct tie to JB (fishing), a direct tie to LB (church), he has or once had a home in the path of LB walking home that night (3rd st, just south of the Shell)

He is quite possibly completely innocent and just has a bunch of coincidences going on... but he need to be looked into imo.

Has the information been submitted to LE? I'm not sure why he is on everyone's radar here, I think I missed that post? Anyway... I do think LE should be informed, especially now that other unusual connections have been made.

I hate to think we are on a witch hunt, but at the same time, I would hate to leave the stone unturned. Lindsey needs to be found.

One thing we have learned is that a church is not a safe haven and you have to look at everyone in the community. Coaches, teachers, students, the people next door, and everyone in between are suspects.

Coincidences happen, but should never be overlooked by LE. If the guy has nothing to hide, it should not be a problem.

I think someone was checking out various people and he stood out because he lived so many different places which raised their curiosity. Then they noticed other girls were missing from some of the places he possibly used to live. (Please correct me if I am wrong or missed something!)

ETA: This subject did not come from NMK. ;)

Corvallis and Lebanon are in my neck of the woods. I've never heard of anything hinky around here other than Brooke's case.

BTW: If you guys want me to check further, I have friends who are sheriffs for Lebanon...

WW was not mine, if that's who we were talking about. I just ran down what I could on him after he was brought up. RP was mine. I can't remember who started on WW, although he is starting to look better and better as suspects go.
