jnTexas-I think you will have to ask JenniferO that, I have no idea what a park and ride is...guess the ride takes you shopping? Haven't a clue. Now I see why the bridge is of concern...it's so close to the house. I can't get over the feeling that someone had been watching her...I don't know from where so I'm trying to figure that out.

A park and ride is usually near a bus station. They were built years ago to try to encourage people to commute via bus instead of cars. You drove from your home to the park and ride, parked your car, got on the bus and went either shopping or to work, rode the bus back to the park and ride then drove your car home.

Thanks~ I have a "thing" about that bridge.

Woah...what is this about a "park and ride"?

How about that? A park and ride right next to your bridge and both along her route.

Thanks...:angel:It sure isn't my age keeping me from knowing that..guess I haven't lived near one.

The park in rides around the out skirts of houston are run by metro. We live about 60 miles from houston. A lot of people in our area drive to the park in ride and then ride the bus into downtown. Saves on mileage, gas, and parking fees. It also cuts down on some of the traffic.

Also, some Park and Ride lots are locations to meet your carpool or vanpool. Many companies have these lots for their employees.

I'm not sure who posted the link with WW's voting record, but it lists his address on Pine Street in McCleary in August of 2008. If that is still his address, and IF Lindsey did take an alterate route "up" 6th street, the next cross street heading east towards her home would have been Pine.

I've been under the impression that -- from the very first mention of the "neighbor/family friend" who broke up the fight -- that person is a woman. Am I wrong?

Ditto with the next sighting by the same person, who was said to be on "her" way to work about 9:15 p.m. What is the reason that some posters now seem to think this "neighbor" is a man?

  • #368
I wonder if the Chamber of Commerce there would have information on the Park and Ride situation for various things?

Would they have one going to that Pirate festival in the neighboring town?

Hi Track292008, I will go back through the LE statements to see if it is a "he" or a "she" and see if there is anything concrete as to the gender.

I was just about to post a new time-line and went to a different site to make sure nothing has changed per mom K. What happened behind the gas station has been changed...apparently, Lindsey, brother, and K were behind the gas station; brother J and Lindsey got into an argument...they continued onto K's house where a friend was visiting a few houses down from mom K's home. The friend told J (brother to go home). Apparently he did. Mom K said apparently she didn't understand her daughter earlier about the incident. Hope the police know the right version!!!!
Ugh! If there IS one!

One article did say "her", but not sure which article it would be. Also...they could be mistaken. We still don't know if there were two different witnesses to the sighting on Maple tho. No clue who the second person would be.

The only thing I can find in our Direct Quotes from LE thread regarding the squabble does not specify the gender. http://www.thenewstribune.com/news/northwest/story/795384.html

If there are any quotes from LE stating the gender we will need to get it into the Direct Quotes from LE thread so we can refer back to it.

It just keeps switching up on us doesn't it? Any idea if the friend who told J to go home was male/female child/adult?

Thanks, eyes4crime and elepher, and others:

Now we have another "neighbor" -- this one a neighbor of Kayla-Michaela's mom, Kara K; this neighbor, who lives four houses down the street from Kayla-Michaela's house, happened to be at Kayla-Michaela's house when Lindsey, Josh and Kayla arrived that Friday evening and SHE is the one who broke up the fight and sent Josh home??????

Where were Kara K. and her "old man" (as she calls him) at this time? I thought they were both home and that there were other "people" (perhaps children) there, too.

Another concern: If this new neighbor of KaraK's is the one who broke up the fight, is she also the one who saw Lindsey again when she (said neighbor) was on her way to work in another county around 9:15 pm?

This gets curiouser and curiouser, and not in a good way at all. Poor Lindsey!

This is an ever changing time-line first posted on Lindsey thread #1 using information from Post #173 & post #233 (Angel who cares), post #223 (kat), June 30th update posted by Angel Who Cares. Articles, interviews, mom K's info. etc. Posted on thread #3, 7:5.. Please note: This time-line has contradictions and is subject to change at any time. Latest posted update July 4th, 10:00pm. July 5th, 7:30pm. July 7th, 9:00pm.

MAY 29th - Lindsey wrote:
I've been getting a lot of nightmares lately and I have this bad feeling that something bads gonna happen...
Her mood - scared
(eyes asks: are Lindsey's fears and nightmares connected to her disappearance?)

June 16th (Tues)- Last day of school, around 10:00am (Websleuth local-JenniferO)

June 25th (Thurs)- Kayla overnight at Lindsey's home

JUNE 26TH (Friday)- 9:15PM....LAST TIME LINDSEY WAS SEEN

June 26th, Friday day hours - K said daughter Kayla swimming with Lindsey and group of girls before returning to Maple street residence.

8:19pm - Friday evening hours - Kayla and Lindsey in video store with group of friends renting videos - girls having a good time laughing & joking. (caught on video)(eyes asks: were the girls in bathing suits?)

8:25 - Lindsey and Kayla walk 1/2 block to Lindsey's home; ask Mom Baum if Kayla could stay another night. Lindsey showered, changed clothes and left with brother, Kayla and bike. Mom Baum said Lindsey left with no money, clothes and with cell phone charging.

8:45? - Lindsey (pushing bike with broken chain), Kayla and brother leave for Kayla's house; on the way decided to ask mom K for a sleep over. Neighbor saw Lindsey and brother squabbling over brother's bike and sent brother home.

OR - According to mom K altercation took place behind Shell gas station across the street from Baum home. (not verified by PD)

MOST RECENTLY - Mom K says the altercation began behind the Shell Gas Station; the bike was left there. The kids walked to Mom K's where a few houses away a neighbor was visiting and the visitor told J (brother) to go home. (not verified by LE)

9:00? - Two girls arrive at mom K's home. Lindsey told by mom K and friend she could not stay the night and needs to get going before dark - Lindsey left to walk the 4 blocks home.

9:10? - Kayla watched Lindsey walk down Maple until no longer seen

Mom K states: neighbor sending brother home is same as who called in sighting (not verified)

9:15 - Quote from "The News Tribune", Monday, July 6th
The last person to see Lindsey was a resident driving through town who saw her walking on Maple Street between Fifth and Sixth streets around 9:15 p.m. – about the halfway point between the two homes, Scott said. People said light was waning but the sun hadn’t gone down.

OR (another version) - Lindsey was leaving friend’s home between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Friday, traveling from Maple Street to Mommesen Road. Scott said a neighbor spotted her “two-thirds of the way home,” still on Maple Street. (eyes asks if 2/3 is a typo)

AND - Scott said a second person came forward Tuesday with a confirmed sighting of Baum from Friday night in the same area along Maple Street near Fifth Street. World.com., July 2nd written by Jacob Jones

OR - Kara says a second set of dogs followed Lindsey's scent up the hill on 6th st. meaning Lindsey turned South onto 6th. (not verified by PD)

Quote taken from the article by Angel Who Cares:

“We have her coming back from the residence alone consistent with the friend and friend’s family,” Scott said. “We cannot put her to the main street here or to the street in front of her house. This wasn’t somebody who said she saw someone who looks like (Lindsey) or might have been; she was very confident it was Lindsey because she knew her and was on her way to work.”

The “main street” is South 3rd Street and it is a busy thoroughfare near City Hall, connecting to freeways in multiple directions. The police station is within sight of the intersection. The street requires a crosswalk and pedestrian control walking signals. On Friday, the streets were lighted. The sun was still out.

...There is a Shell gas station at the intersection and a bus station with a bench that looked like it was in regular use at least on Monday. Scott said video surveillance at the Shell station are being reviewed. (a later update posted by by Angel Who Cares says Lindsey was NOT seen on the surveillance of the Shell gas station)
...snipped for space

10:00 - Mom Baum (car broken down) begins search for Lindsey. Called Kayla's mom; phone was dead. Joined friend's parents by car for the search.

10:45 - Mom Baum calls police - reports daughter Lindsey missing

JULY 7th - Beautiful Lindsey's 11th birthday

Bold by me
A special 'thanks' to Angel Who Cares who keeps us updated 24/7 and those who posted many great links, fantastic pics, and updates....Thanks to those of you with suggestions helping to make this a more accurate time-line (keep em coming).

Not quite right Track: Apparently the neighbor who told brother J to go home was visiting a neighbor right near mom K's. The kids left the bike behind the Shell and walked - brother J was told to go home. I don't know who the neighbor nor the visitor was except they were both down the street from MOM K's. Maybe there will be another version soon,. grrrrr!

Long Shot Alert:

Maybe this guy flashed the 17 year old on 6-9, grabbed the 9 year old on 6-15, and then took off up the coast, gets to Mcclaery by bad luck or planning, abducts and ??? Lindsey and then runs back to CA? Like I said, long shot, I just wonder if his movements are accounted for between the 15th and now.

A long shot, but so was Joseph E. Duncan.
