The problem is people not noticing the difference between 'i thought i'd heard' & 'i'd heard/i was told/i know' -
Just because a poster says ~'i thought i'd heard' (& maybe gives you a new idea/lead) - doesn't make the poster 'unreliable' - If this was the standard then people would be eternally reluctant to mention anything. Which would include quite a few things already followed here.
It has been several times here where some one has said 'i thought' and this gets interpreted (~down the road) as fact.
Anyways yes, this 2 of the same person thing becoming fact (not so much the story) came out of thin air.
Who's (exact) fault it is for becoming a ~fact, don't really care. More concerned about those repeating it as such. Yes please cite where it came from.
