Called it in and I am absolutely sure of the connection.

Mason and Grays Harbor Countys are both interviewing all RSOs.

I'm sure Mr Aaron has been or is being questioned.

I really wish they'd get a break in this case. Or I wonder if they have one and that's why things are so silent..

I just don't understand why there isn't more media coverage. Or at least some sort of release from the LEs.

I can't get posts on this thread to come out right, is it just me?
What is going wrong? I would be glad to help if I can. :)

Great eye, Momt~ If no one has started a thread for RSOs in the area, I will be glad to do it. They are being looked at by LE without a doubt, but who knows if LE are connecting the dots to the people they visit in and around the area.

I've been looking at the Gray's Harbor County Sheriff's list of sex offenders, trying get a feel for who might have been around McCleary when Lindsey disappeared, but there are so many of them, and so many different kinds of them, they've started to morph together into one big, ugly monster in my mind. I'm getting quite an education, for sure.

I tried to find some statistics - how often does a SO act, how close to where he/she lives, what makes one choose a stranger for a victim...things like that. What I found, I think, is that there isn't really a "SO MO"; they're all different from each other, and most will adjust their preferences in order to take advantage of an opportunity.

I'm afraid I'm not much help with this part. I just can't get my mind around it.

I have a question and it may sound very silly. When your in the military and being deployed & your child goes missing...what happens? I know LB's dad has leave right now, but how long does he have? What's the rules?

I'll let someone answer that before I finish the rest of my thoughts.

moo
Only the Gov't/U S Army knows the answer to that question.

I don't feel he should go. I wouldn't think he'd be in the right state of mind to be at War. The stress of war is enough to set any person over the edge.. I can't imagine having to deal with it on top of dealing with your child missing.

I think a missing family member would be covered under emergency leave. In that case, it would be up to his command to determine how long his leave will be.
Can't see them deploying him at this time, but you really never know.

Also, something to keep in mind is that at his age, he is probably in a leadership position and may want to accompany his young soldiers into their dangerous assignment. He may feel he can do more good and save more lives in Iraq than in McCleary.

:furious: Sorry for this OT rant, but I just heard this on TV:
"CHILD 🤬🤬🤬🤬 RING HITS NEAR SAN DIEGO! Details Friday at 11:00"

:waitasec:WTH??!! It's THURSDAY afternoon!

How will we ever put an end to the madness if they won't even interrupt General Hospital? If they tease us with this stuff?!! For ratings???
I'm off to send a blistering e-mail. To somebody.
:banghead:

From the answers I received, (thanks to all), it appears that the video cameras at the Shell station would not be dispositive of the issue of whether LB crossed 3rd street or not. Therefore, she may have and may not have. Ugh. The spot at which she vanished could be anywhere from 5th and Maple to her home, if we assume there was a normal route the children take walking back and forth to each other's houses.

One of our posters took a lot of photos of the area (thank you) and spoke with the town drunk, Mark. Mark has some ideas of his own about the disappearance and I hope LE has given him a thorough shake-down. He ID'd a person who talked of "young girls", told our member that the Jewelry store guy didnt' like Lindsey or her family. (what is not to like about a 10 year old?) and that the jewelry store guy thought Lindsey was "up to things" - whatever that means. He needs to be questioned. Was he?

Your guess is as good as ours. The LEs aren't putting out a list of people they have talked to.

I've talked to a few locals who don't even know who "the town drunk Mark" is. I'm curious what his last name is.

He probably should not be labeled "town drunk". He could be someone who works nights and has a few beers/drinks during the daytime. He could be someone who gets a few days off and drinks heavily during those times. There is no way to know what his drinking habits are, but that JVK used personal judgement to determine he had been drinking when the encounter happened between the two of them. ;)

Welcome to WS, fhc! You did it perfectly. I will add a bit more of the story:

A 34-year-old Elma man faces child rape and 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 possession charges after his young daughter told her family he touched her inappropriately.

~snip~

Investigators also searched the man’s Elma home and computers, according to court records. They found pornographic photos of children and explicit e-mails.

~snip~

Court records stated the photos included adults having sex with young girls and infants. In several e-mails from the man, he described himself as a “pedo” with involvement with online pedophile groups.

The man was arrested late last month and is being held in Grays Harbor County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Thomas H Aaron has recently moved into Mason County after being released from McNeil Island Corrections Center. He has to register as a sex offender for two convictions of Child Molestation 1st degree, Mason County Superior Court cause # 96-1-002127. These convictions stem from him having sexual contact with two young females, 5 years of age and 9 years of age. At different times, these victims were at AARON?s residence being babysat. AARON pled guilty to the charges. He was unable to attend sex offender treatment. He is currently on supervision with the Department of Corrections. Due to these factors he is considered a MODERATE RISK.

Thomas H Aaron is assessed by the Mason County Sheriff?s Office as a Level II Sex Offender.

This is the Mid-level given to a Sex Offender, meaning that the subject is at a MODERATE RISK to re-offend.

He looks like a nice old grandpa - Thomas Harvard Aaron...about 69yo..are we looking at the same person? lives on the Harmony block in Shelton. Looks like he spent about 6 years in prison for molestation of a child in the 1st degree. He went to prison in Feb. 97 and got out in 2003. I think it would be important to see if he has relatives in McCleary.

Thanks as I can't get into that website.
