Looks like her father isn't going to be in town very long...

http://www.komonews.com/news/50322687.html

"On Monday the missing girl's father pleaded with the public to help find his little girl before he's deployed to Iraq.

"But please bring me my daughter home before I have to leave," he said.

Scott Baum is expected to fly out next week."

I've been looking at the Gray's Harbor County Sheriff's list of sex offenders, trying get a feel for who might have been around McCleary when Lindsey disappeared, but there are so many of them, and so many different kinds of them, they've started to morph together into one big, ugly monster in my mind. I'm getting quite an education, for sure.

I tried to find some statistics - how often does a SO act, how close to where he/she lives, what makes one choose a stranger for a victim...things like that. What I found, I think, is that there isn't really a "SO MO"; they're all different from each other, and most will adjust their preferences in order to take advantage of an opportunity.

I'm afraid I'm not much help with this part. I just can't get my mind around it.

http://www.co.grays-harbor.wa.us/info/sheriff/offenders/index.html

I think you hit the nail on the head Coastal with the word opportunity.

We studied this allot in the Madeleine McCann case and pedos generally fit into a little niche of their own.

They seize the opportunity by either creating it by baiting the child or simply snatch them if the perfect opportunity presents itself.

The thing if the child dies they are very careless in disposing of the body, usually leaving it by a road in the weeds or in a ditch for instance. They don't care now that they are satisfied and usually don't 'hide' the body.

It is family or friend abductions, that 30% of abducted children, who are hidden more carefully as they know they will be first on LE's list of possible suspects. At least in the cases and reading I have done about this.

That is why I think if this is a SO who took her away he is a friend or family member. For one reason, her body is evidently hidden well with all the searching that has been done or she was taken out of the area which I doubt. Hot passion cools fast, and then he would be done with her and probably still close to town IMO.

Where we are lost is if it is a 1st time abduction by someone she knew who was a budding pedo!

Something just came to mind while I was reading the astro forum...

Tuba was saying: "This leads to concern, again Web Sleuths, over groups that were meeting in McCleary the weekend of June 26-28. Was music part of the activity? Very likely. That, or drink, drugs because Neptune is right there at the same degree, with Jupiter. "
Then I remembered some previous posts about from the McCleary-ites about their being regular dances which happen at the local VFW. Was there one on the weekend that Lindsey went missing? Would any of you locals know people who attend these functions on a regular basis who may know people who attend these dances to see if any regulars may have been suspiciously missing that night?

Also... church is a gathering that meets on the weekend that involves music... just usually in the best case scenario... not drugs...

Although, some church services do involve wine, which is drink. Not going anywhere with that, just thinking...er, typing out loud.

It is summer and the pools are open. Anyone in McCleary that still has a cover over their pool?

Thomas H Aaron has recently moved into Mason County after being released from McNeil Island Corrections Center. He has to register as a sex offender for two convictions of Child Molestation 1st degree, Mason County Superior Court cause # 96-1-002127. These convictions stem from him having sexual contact with two young females, 5 years of age and 9 years of age. At different times, these victims were at AARON?s residence being babysat. AARON pled guilty to the charges. He was unable to attend sex offender treatment. He is currently on supervision with the Department of Corrections. Due to these factors he is considered a MODERATE RISK.

Thomas H Aaron is assessed by the Mason County Sheriff?s Office as a Level II Sex Offender.

This is the Mid-level given to a Sex Offender, meaning that the subject is at a MODERATE RISK to re-offend.

But YUCK anyway. :banghead:

A Hole shouldn't even be on the streets or free to harm again. JMHO.

Not very many people in town that I know of have real pools...most people have seasonal ones they set up at the beginning of summer and take down sometime in the fall.

Your guess is as good as ours. The LEs aren't putting out a list of people they have talked to.

I've talked to a few locals who don't even know who "the town drunk Mark" is. I'm curious what his last name is.

When i ran into Mark i didn't know where he'd just come from. But upon returning to town & taking (more) pics i'm pretty sure he'd just come from:

DSCF2117.jpg

You practically can't miss him. Likely (frequently) intoxicated, slurs, & barely picks up his feet. ~5"8 kind of chubby.

I'm pretty sure he'd just bought (more) beer & was heading (walking) home down 4th. (i didn't watch him walk away for too long)

BTW @ "That girl was up to 'things' - I recall that being an ~opinion of (& coming from) Mark. Mark portrayed the Jewelry store person as having a not-so-great opinion & that's a comment Mark added.

Note: Hartman's Jewelry is also on 4th a ~block away from the 76 ^

It's from a PB account collection of Lindsey's case.
TIA

I've been thinking lately about those SO's/murderers who don't have a criminal history and don't get caught for a very long time because they appear to be such nice, solid citizens in a community. For instance, I was very involved in researching the "Bike Path Rapist"/murderer case on another forum before Altemio Sanchez finally was caught after something like 20 years and the wrong man imprisoned for some of his crimes.

All I can say is that there may be another such "wolf in sheep's clothing."

<<Respectfully snipped & bolded>>

JVK,

I am most curious about 'That girl was up to things' comment by Mark. How would he know (and even more interestingly, what did he think he knew?) Did you get the sense he knew Lindsey personally or that he just knew of her (perhaps from hearsay)?

Thanks,
Soulscape

Sure can - it is WW.

This guy just really got me thinking. He is used to the outside and all the woods etc... I dont' know I just can't put my finger on him. I'll think more on this guy but it's got me on edge!
I heard on radio yesterday and I'm just gonna throw this in here... but.... they said for people that want to give birth and raise kids that before they do so they need to buy a really really good pan set. Take care of that for a year and if they have no scratches on it or burn marks or anything else than it's safe for them to have children!
Just thought I would share!

Now that's just not fair BobbiBu, crackin' me up so early in the morning ;} :D

I doubt he lives in the woods tho. Did we hear how he was dressed? If he's homeless he probably sleeps behind some building, but with all the rain in that town I am sure he has some place that is sheltered.

LOL sorry about crackin ya up!!! But good morning..
No I wasn't saying he lives in the woods, he is a Wildlife biologist from what I can see.. He's into salmon and fish and all that etc... Here is a little something that I'm sure some of you have seen already that says what he is...
State e-mails sent last year by Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife biologist Wayne Watne, who approved a permit for the Scouts' logging plan, describe Delezenne Creek as a "CMZ," or channel migration zone -- a special type of naturally meandering waterway in wide river valleys that requires additional tree buffers to be preserved from logging under state forest practice rules.
