I felt special because they "assumed i was an investigator" hah

Well...you are! ;) And a fine one at that!

So I wonder if they ever searched the woods around the water tower?

I bet that is the 'spooning' spot in McCleary.

Do you think if they get a break in the case they will share it with the public?

It's really more about helping out. McCleary isn't far from here & this hit home w/a local community feeling.

I was really hoping to log in and see good news, dammit.

Alright, I give up, someone just skip to the end of the story please, and tell us where Lindsey is.
Sorry, I haven't been around much today, it was our monthly food delivery day, so I was busy. (We do one a month, buying basic essentials for a family and posting the box on our local Freecycle site,) so while we were out today, I also put up a couple of Lindsey fliers, even though we are on the other side of the country. Just in case.

I also include her in my prayers for my kids every night. 8:45 pm every night EDT, if anyone wants to join me.

Spooning spot. LOL (I love the way you say things.)

The next question is how well did they search the area around the water tower, if they did search it?

We have such wonderful posters here! Very nice things you did today including the prayer. Be happy to join you. :)

My husband and I drove to Olympia tonight.. on our way back we were talking about the fact that it was almost 2 hours after Lindsey went missing that it was reported to the police.
Do you know how far someone can drive in that amount of time? And there are hundreds of miles of logging roads around McCleary leading to various parts of the county/state. We also have several major rivers in the area (all within about a half hours drive of McCleary)
She could be anywhere. If someone local took her there is no telling where they took her, ya know?
I don't think she is alive anymore and I think it's going to be a long time before they even find a body, if they ever do.
It's sad.. I was really hoping there would be a break in the case by now.

What is so terrible about stranger abduction cases is that most times if the child is going to be killed, it will be in the first 2 hours.

Statistically speaking, if it was a stranger that took her, she was probably dead before the call ever went out. And although I sound cold, that was very painful to write.
I don't like facing truth, it usually hurts.

Yes, what you are saying is true. Still, you would think if someone local were to have taken her...they would want to be back in town before anyone found out she was missing, imo. They need to be available just in case someone notices. They would also take more time to hide her and any evidence.

A stranger would probably have taken her the furthest, but is more likely to leave her out in the open.

Yes, but you are correct. It is always why they say time is the enemy in missing child cases.

Spooning, as opposed to forking. :)

I think if they get a lead on who the person is, but not enough info to do anything with, they might let out to the public just enough to try to get the public to focus on the same person they are, to get more background. I know that it looks like they released almost the whole profile that they have on the kidnapper or killer, so that isn't good. They usually hold back a good deal of the profile, it helps weed out the nutcases that will confess to anything. When they put it all out there, it means that they are willing to deal with old ladies that don't trust their neighbors, as well as vengeful exes and so forth, on the thin hope that amid the crap that will flood the phone lines, there will be one good tip.

I've been nervous since the introduction of the profile.

Unless it was someone local that had a reason to be gone for some time after the abduction. Someone on their way to work, someone on their way home to a nearby town that doesn't have anyone waiting on them at home. Or someone that had a good place to stash her, be it dead or alive, until the immediate heat died down.

Just thinking out loud, I don't have anyone in mind that fits that particular bill.

Hi Jennifer, I am just struck how on Lindsay's site what a wonderful group of locals we have here - every one of you.

We all try as hard as we can and keep Lindsey first and foremost in our thoughts. Somehow all the local input has added so much to our discussions and everyone here seems to work well as a team! :blowkiss:

Did I miss the profile? We probably need a thread for that one. ;)

If that is the profile LE talked about I agree it seems to fit with someone who might stop in town every Fri nite for a brewskie. Or a trucker or delivery man stopping on his way home after a long days work. It makes such sense, doesn't it. A guy works in Olympia, lives almost to Shelton and wants to relax a bit before sliding in the front door every Fri nite. He's almost home so he's not worried about driving and drinking - he could probably negotiate the road in his sleep!

I think that idea came from some sharp cookie with the FBI. I learned in Nevaeh's case I believe there are only 50 FBI profilers in America working actively for the FBI. Lots of ex-FBI profilers as it must take it's toll. That is hardly anything it seems. But they must jive together and brainstorm and are very specialized each in their own field. Like 'Criminal Minds' come to life. LOLOLOL Ya Ya

I am thankful they had a team of people in town, and even if we think nothing has amounted to anything because Lindsey hasn't been found yet, what they have put out to all the local boys will come into play at the right moment in time. I truly believe that!

Oh, Oh, Oh! Nevermind. I don't need a link! Thanks tho! ;) And thank you, Scandi for reminding me. (It is late and I am fading.)

ETA: I agree with most of your post, Scandi...except I keep thinking about Pat Brown. She and I never see quite eye to eye on most profiles or cases. LOL (She is one I would like to sit down and hash it out with tho.)
