I don't know if anyone has brought this up, but since MD is a real estate agent, he would have a lockbox key.

From some research I found this:
Since the box is “reset” just before being placed on the door, any agent who opens the box can be identified – as well as the date and time they entered the house. That information can be downloaded at the local MLS Association. (I'll post the link if it's ok.)

I wonder if LE has looked into MD and if so, checked his where-abouts via that system?

Seems like a REA would have access to a lot of places to hide something/someone and also have seemingly legitimate reasons or excuses to move around freely without anyone thinking much of it. Agents go in many different directions daily as calls come in and clients want to see properties. One could easily fake an appointment, even at some odd hours.

Again, if I missed this being brought up somewhere in an earlier post, please forgive me.

there are electronic boxes that you have to have an electronic key to open. The agent who owns the box can look at the history of the showings, and some companies offer to send an email showing all the accesses to that property.
We also still use the combo boxes especially on foreclosures so that contractors can get in. Now most agents require an appointment to show ( every time on occupied homes)some do not. most of the foreclosure companies have a certain code for their listings, as do most agents. If he sells alot of foreclosures he is going to know what the combos are.
as far as abandoned foreclosures not listed: if he sells them he most likely knows how to break in them (alot cheaper than calling a lock smith).

hope that helps some.

OT:My worst fear as a broker is to walk in a foreclosure and find a body. I have seen dead rats, dead animals, bugs, spiders, a live snake, snake skins, unbelivable living conditions, dead refrigerators, but I'm hoping to never see a body.

It's called "Rainbow Park" on the map I posted above. It appears to be houses? Like a community. http://ftp.techline.com/infocus/mcclearymap.htm

You are correct. It is Rainbow Park

We purchased our home about a year and a half ago and used several agents in 3 counties (Grays Harbor, Mason and Thurston) to look at many homes. All agents were using the electronic lockbox key. I remember asking the agent about the boxes. I thought it was interesting how "universal" it was for letting agents show homes.

Another practice they did here locally was that any agent that had shown the house, left a business card on the kitchen counter.

Thanks Jn, I should have mentioned they were electronic keys they used.

SS Don't forget you should be able to find some useful information in the media thread. I have every article & video posted there in order (except for a few that are out of order) these should help you to add to the many useful threads you have started for all of us! I can't thank you enough for all of your hard work helping to try & find Lindsey! You are an angel & such an important poster to all of us here at WS's!

P.S. Also Thank You to the many locals that have helped so much with their pictures, insight of the town folks, & their descriptions of the area. I really feel like I have walked the streets myself thanks to all of you! One Thank Ypu wasn't enough so I had to post more than one! LOL!

Respectfully snipped for space. I just wanted to second your thanks to everyone, and add my THANKS TO YOU for keeping up with the media thread. It helps us all so much when looking for a quick reference, instead of having to go through tons of pages. You rock!!!

I'd like to see the town do a re-creation of the night she went missing. Close the town off to anyone who wasn't there that night. Have each person get to the postion they were in at 9 oclock. Same people at jobs, in the gas station, in the bars, in their houses. Recreate, re enact. Find the smoking gun.

Sorry if this has already been hashed out and sleuthed over but this Eric/Erik that drunk Mark spoke of is buggin' me.
Here's the original post by JVK
Right after snapping this photo i was approached by 'Mark the (apparent) local drunk. He was quite intoxicated & slurry.

He asked what i was doing and i told him.

He was a bit 'chatty' and slurred out a few things.

Mark portrayed 'Peter' (iirc) (the owner or worker of the Jewelry shop ^, on Maple) as not having a 'great opinion of Lindsey &/or the Baum family. "~That girl was up to 'things'" (Lindsey)

Mark also shared this not so great opinion. Mark shared that he was aware Lindsey was on the internet. He generally & repeatedly came off disliking Lindsey &/or the family.

Mark added one other thing. Mark said he believes 'Eric' (who lives (according to Marks pointing) in the North-Eastern part of town) 'probably did it' (as in abducting Lindsey) Mark said Eric had conversed with him (@ an unknown time) about 'young girls.

The conversation was strange.. but you couldn't expect much else. At one point he stopped talking almost like he'd just realized he's telling all this to a stranger & briefly thought twice.
Here is an Erik I found who lists both Elma and Pullman as residence. Page is private and may have absolutely nothing to do with the case http://www.myspace.com/mr_lovebucket
The headline on the page raises some suspicion with me as does the mood. OOPS just noticed it's from June...

My question...would Elma happen to be in the direction Mark was pointing?

Yes, and I'd like to see some reward money mentioned. Unfortunately, I think with high unemployment, tweakers and SO's, this may be what's needed ~ (Sorry if that doesn't sound very politically correct.)

You're right! Where the HECK is the reward money in this case?!?!?!

Hi momtective, relative to your question, would Elma happen to be in the direction Mark was pointing? seems to be "no" as Elma is SW of McCleary from what I can see.

However, it's interesting that you posted when you did as I was just in the midst of a search for a "Eric or Erik" in or around McCleary when I happened to glance at your post.

I am personally still interested in either Eric or Mark and because they seem to have some acquaintence with one another makes me even more curious. I would really like to find out if MH lives on or near Maple and 4th.

Anyway, thought I'd share that with you. We still both seem to be slightly curious about that individual. I agree with you that the conversation is extremely curious.

You guys were probably all over this already and I missed it, but is he referring to the Eric - EC that was picked up on the 10th on violation of not registering and is still being held? (I think I have that right without going through links)

FYI: Issues w/Jane is having an update on Lindsey tonight, coming up after the commercial break! Let's hope & pray that NG, PrimeTime News, & Jane gets back to reporting about the missing & not all MJ coverage....it's enough about him. Lindsey needs as much national media coverage as possible. It already has been far too long that they have ignored that this little angle is missing far too long!

HMM, I have not yet picked up on this info: You guys were probably all over this already and I missed it, but is he referring to the Eric - EC that was picked up on the 10th on violation of not registering and is still being held? (I think I have that right without going through links)

Please provide a link as I'd like to check that out, it sounds interesting.

As for "direction" where MH was pointing, it may not really be so meaningful since he was quite tipsy, he may have been thinking he was pointing SW rather than NE, Elma being only about 7 miles from McCleary and all.

Any clue whatsoever as to EC's last name would be greatly appreciated. I think I recall a post about failing to register...so I'm going to wade back through earlier posts. I'm glad to see that others find the whole Mark confo a little hinky. How on earth would he have known Lindsey was on the internet?

Something I noticed at Bear Festival this weekend was a guy going around with fliers and a donations can...he's the first person I've noticed actively going for money beyond the bake sale they were also having. The thing that got me about him the most was that he was aggressive about getting donations, mentioning repeatedly that MB is unemployed and needs the money...so aggressive he put people off and got a lot of angry responses. Unfortunately I didn't get to talk to him at all to find out who he was. I was just wondering if anyone else who made it out for the parade noticed him and got any kind of impression of him?

So, in other words, what you're saying is, it's probably not a good idea to ask a drunk for directions ~

Gotcha :)
