Well, the location of the video store is verifiable. The video store is 225 W Simpson. Where is that in relation to Lindseys? I can't do maps right now.

I've been getting a lot of nightmares lately and I have this bad feeling that something bads gonna happen...

June 16th (Tues)- Last day of school, ended about 10:00am (per Websleuth local-JenniferO)

June 25th (Thurs)- Kayla had an overnight at Lindsey's home

JUNE 26TH (Friday)- 9:15PM....LAST TIME LINDSEY WAS SEEN



June 26th, Friday day hours - K said daughter Kayla was swimming with Lindsey and a group of girls before returning to the Maple street residence...(eyes asks: (where were they swimming - public pool, familiar home?)

8:19 - Friday evening hours - Kayla and Lindsey in video store (1/2 block from Lindsey's home) with group of friends who were renting videos - girls having a good time laughing & joking. (caught on video)

8:25 - Lindsey and Kayla walked to Lindsey's home to ask Mom Baum if Lindsey could stay another night? - Lindsey showered, changed clothes. Mom Baum said Lindsey left without cell phone (being charged), money, or clothes.

8:45? - Lindsey (pushing bike with broken chain), Kayla, and brother leave for Kayla's house; decided on the way to ask mom K for a sleep over. Neighbor saw Lindsey and brother squabbling over brother's bike and sent brother home.

According to Kayla's mom K: altercation took place behind Shell gas station.

9:00? - Lindsey and Kayla arrive at Kayla's home and told by mom and friend she could not stay the night and should probably get going before it gets dark - Lindsey left to walk the 4 blocks home.

9:10? - Kayla watched Lindsey walk down Maple until she could no longer be seen

9:15 - a woman on way to work (car) saw Lindsey walking on Maple between 5th & 6th street...about 1/2 way between the two homes.

OR (another version) - Lindsey was leaving her friend’s home between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Friday, traveling from Maple Street to Mommsen Road. Scott said a neighbor spotted her “two-thirds of the way home,” still on Maple Street.

AND - A 2nd witness has come forward saying Lindsey was seen walking on Maple near 5th street.

OR - Kara says a second set of dogs have followed Lindsey's scent up the hill on 6th street, meaning Lindsey turned onto 6th. (not verified by PD)

“We have her coming back from the residence alone consistent with the friend and friend’s family,” Scott said. “We cannot put her to the main street here or to the street in front of her house. This wasn’t somebody who said she saw someone who looks like (Lindsey) or might have been; she was very confident it was Lindsey because she knew her and was on her way to work.”

The “main street” is South 3rd Street and it is a busy thoroughfare near City Hall, connecting to freeways in multiple directions. The police station is within sight of the intersection. The street requires a crosswalk and pedestrian control walking signals. On Friday, the streets were lighted. The sun was still out.

There is a Shell gas station at the intersection and a bus station with a bench that looked like it was in regular use at least on Monday. Scott said video surveillance at the Shell station are being reviewed. (a later update posted by by Angel Who Cares says Lindsey was NOT seen on the surveillance of the Shell gas station)

10:00 - Lindsey's mom (car broken down) begins to search for Lindsey. She called Kayla's mom but phone was dead and being charged. She joined friend's parents by car for the search.

10:45 - Mom Baum called police - reported her daughter Lindsey missing

Hi, I put this time-line together and there is a newer one that was deleted because it had the info from mom K with the info it wasn't verified.

Apparently there were several girls swimming (don't know where or how many). They walked to the video store and were caught on tape about 8:19. Lindsey and her friend walked home...the other girls went their way. Don't know how they were dressed. hope that helps.

Has anyone found any more information on "Derek"...the SO who was arrested around the first?? Just wondering cause I'm not so great when it comes to finding new info....still feeling like a newbie.

Do we know how strict the mother was about the curfew business? Was it normal for LB to be a little late or was she always home by curfew??

What was it that KK had planned for her family on the next day? Why wasn't her daughter aware of the plans already (before she started making plans for a sleepover with LB)?

This is probably just some weirdo Southern thing, but my Daddy would have been PISSED at me if I asked for a friend to spend the night (or to stay over at their house) while my friend was standing there listening. I wasn't even supposed to suggest that a sleepover was a possibility in front of my friends until I had spoken with my Dad about it first. I didn't understand that when I was ten, but I knew better than to act that way...it's bad manners and was against his rules. On the other hand, he would have been MORTIFIED if I were to walk over to a friend's house and ask to stay over. No matter how I look at the situation (since the two stories we've heard are TOTALLY different) I can't make the situation "right" in my mind.

ETA: Just asked JT (live-in-boyfriend....my how things change over the years, lol) what the "asking to stay the night" rule was in his house.....and it was the same for him. His Mama would have lost her mind if he'd had the nerve to ask in front of a friend....maybe it's an Arkansas thing, lol. We are a bit backward down here....and no, he's not my cousin....at least not that I'm aware of....

Someone posted previously about Lindsey and her friends rushing to the video store following the swimming party, and he or she mentioned one thing that to me was extremely lucid, the fact that perhaps all of them were in their bathing suits, which perhaps inspired some nasty SO to get excited. Following that, the group dispersed, Lindsey went home to change and shower, and then she and her brother, etc. rushed off to Maple. If some SO saw them in the video store, all in bathing gear, that may have started some really nasty feelings and thoughts. I cannot recall who brought that up, but I thought it was an extremely wise thought, personally.

NMK, 225 W Simpson is extremely near Rounders, halfway between 5th and 4th on Simpson, everything important is right around that area when it comes to stores, almost everything is in that 4-5, Simpson, Maple block, from what I can see. Wish I could drive there to verify.

Oh, but there is a shortcut...If you go across the bridge and through the parking lot near Beerbower Park. You shave off the corner of the Shell station that way.

NMK, 225 W Simpson is extremely near Rounders, halfway between 5th and 4th on Simpson, everything important is right around that area when it comes to stores, almost everything is in that 4-5, Simpson, Maple block, from what I can see. Wish I could drive there to verify.

Since she was on foot, she didn't HAVE to stay on the road. Anyone think she could have cut through that park next to the police station (at least thats what I think it is....I might be thinking it's something else)? Just wondering because if she left her friend's house on Maple and headed up 6th street (as per KK) she could have walked down the "main drag" where there would be more traffic and more people.....which also sets her up to cut straight accross that empty area (the one that I think is a park and police station or whatever) and go directly to her house. I would have taken the quickest way home if I were expected by curfew....meaning that I would have gone thru a shortcut if it were possible (especially it was getting close to my curfew).

I read from another place today, sorry, can't offer any verification but it would be hearsay anyway, that prior to this kids were scrambling all over the place, even past 10 pm, which in a "supposedly safe" place, that had never had a crime in years, would make sense. Of course answers about cerfews after the fact of the crime would be less than liberal. My guess is that McCleary, prior to the change, was extremely liberal on cerfews because there seemed to be no need to worry, and I'd say that was probably an almost unanimous feeling.

I had that very same question in the time-line that was deleted. I asked if the girls were in their bathing suits, with towels. Lindsey bathed and changed clothes when she got home making me think she had been in a wet suit. That alone, could be enough to start some fantasies in a pedophile.
We just don't know very much about all this. It's a shame

Someone is being extremely helpful with me on residents of Maple, between 4th and 5th, and I must share with you that the block seems to be extremely legit when it comes to residents. I'm still working on information relative to that "disappearance" area and will definitely post anything that seems odd. If at all.

On JVK's photos from the trip I remember spotting a few swimming pools (mainly because I was paying close attention to pics of houses with privacy fences (could be because of a pool) and to houses with pools that were visible. Can we tell by comparing her photos and the maps you guys already have to the "1/2 block from video store" comment (not sure where it came from, sorry)? Would that help to identify a POSSIBLE pool party location, then use address to get names or freakin' go pick up a school yearbook if that's what it takes. Gotta be a way to find out (in such a small town) where the heck they were swimming!!!! Seriously....I'm not good a sleuthing, but I know what potential is out there....you guys are awesome.....what do I need to do to find out!? Si sorry, not meaning to sound ugly or go on a rant, just really want this child to be found....NOW....ALIVE....AND SAFE....and know we're all on the same mission......so what do we do? Got to be a way to put out heads together and figure out this pool mystery.....any ideas or suggestions?

Since it is a local thing in that general area, 4th and simpson, as mcleary says there are faster stores and joints to get what you want, and mostly locals adhere to that area, 4th and simpson, some of the people who frequent that corner, 4th and simpson, would be an incredible hope, if the counter person could lay out a list of people who come to that place, on a daily basis.

that is alarming to me. It's very possible that if whoever took her was on Myspace and saw that could have convinced her that they were like Edward Cullen. It appears that she was really into the Twilight Saga. A lot of young girls fall inlove with the Edward character.
