Didn't Lindsey's myspace at one point say that she was wet because she was having a water fight, or was that someone else's? If it was Lindsey's, then that speaks more to the idea that she was at a friend's home as opposed to a public pool.

That was Lindseys "Disturbed" Myspace.

Yea, and didn't we read that her friend with the pool lived about 1/2 block from the video store?

From what we have read and heard about locations, McCleary must be the most bass ackwards town on the planet for even half of it to be true.

OT what's going on I've been trying to get in for about 2 hours, just now able to get through.

Don't the schools have pools?

Hi Boondock, That is an interesting thought and I doubt an abductor would want 2 girls at the same time. Listening to MB on that video she was expecting Lindsey back home that night. She said noting about the possibililty Kayla would be coming too, at least that I heard.

There is a RUMOR that the girls changed their mind on the way over to Kayla's house to both stay there for the night but who knows if that was true.

We have read somewhere she was only at Kayla's house for 10 to 15 min. That makes me think she wasn't necessarily seen on the way up to Kayla's house but on the way back which would mean it was a crime of opportunity. He saw her and decided this was the perfect time to make his move. IMO

Hi there scandi! That could also mean that she was seen walking to Kayla's home with no back pack. Perhaps the person surmised her usual route would be to come home the same way. I guess I have a different view and do not think this was random...I think the perp knew her a little bit. the fact that we all think differently is what makes a crime blog so interesting and valuable.

The link didn't work but I went to the albums and looked through all the pictures.

Just as I suspected, no my friends pool is not shown.
Two more?

(Sorry if you've already seen these; I'm trying to cook and paste at the same time...)

Looking at those photos, can anyone see long fingernails? I don't and am wondering how recent those photos were? I'll try to look closer.

Not the local schools. The closest school I know with a pool is in Olympia or Shelton (whichever ends up being closer). The closest large in ground pool I've ever heard about was about 20 years ago at the BeeHive...but I believe it's been filled in for many years. The next closest was in Elma at a health club, but I don't know if they still have one there or not.

I've never felt it was backwards but rather very typical of a mill town, so alike many little towns in Oregon and Washington.

Not a lot of fancy houses and many houses either built FHA or by the door plant to house it's workers. Regular blue collar workers that love living in a place where everyone knows everyone in town. Elma is the same way and Montesano similar but bigger and maybe a higher income per capita. Maybe not.

That's why I am so surprised someone hasn't jumped out in the eyes of these people as being strange, or a Friday night visitor. Even he would probably live close by to stop for a few drinks and then drive home! xox

McCleary-- where everyones name starts with M or K, everyone drives a white car and everything is bass ackwards.

I think they need that on the city sign.

Yes, but you have to be really strange to stand out in McCleary.

Guess I should run out and paint my car white so I don't stand out anymore...probably going to have to change my name too.

Montesano is called the Bellevue of Grays Harbor. They have compared us to one of the elite cities up near Seattle where houses are high priced and the people are snobbish.

I grew up here so I'm either snobbish so I don't notice that people are snobbish or people aren't really all that snobbish. lol

That is a good point Eyes and I hadn't thought about her wearing a backpack. I don't think it was random either, that he had been eying her for awhile and then found the perfect opportunity to snatch her. The chances of him driving by at the perfect moment seem slim to me.

Maybe he lived nearby or knew her habits, out late most every night and walking around town from here to there. In that way by scoping her out he actually created the opportunity himself IMO. If he hadn't grabbed her that night it might have been the next night at a different spot. We heard a RUMOR with no link that she thought she was being followed by a car at times. Maybe she was!

I also have had the thought he saw her with her girlfriends either coming or going from the video store. He knew she wasn't done for her night and maybe kept her in eyes sight as she went from here to there until she was finally alone. xox All IMO

I am so troubled tonight after learning how Nevaeh was buried alive I have hardly been able to type. It is like part of me has been drained away and I need to find new energy. So awful. I so pray Lindsey is still with us. xox

I do not see long fingernails.
There is an angle to that pool. Maybe more of a commercial pool as opposed to residential. Although here in So. Cal. we have every shape.
If these pictures were taken the same day, the children were indoors at some point, as seen in pic two. There is a cross on top of something-a piano or sideboard or something. Not hanging on the wall. Looks more like a home than a hotel or vacation spot.

eyes and scandi, I don't think the person was after anyone in particular. I think this was a crime of opportunity. It was someone who didn't care who they took. I don't think Lindsey was a "target" I think she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Good thing it isn't Bellevue Mental Hospital in NY!

Just a random thought:

If Lindsey did cut through Beerbower Park on the way home, maybe she had to go to the restroom. If someone was watching/following her, she could have been grabbed inside the restroom and that would also insulate the sound of a scream.
