WA - Lindsey Baum, 10, McCleary, 26 June 2009 - #7

It depends on the contract, who buys it and why. If someone wanted it as a personal home and not a rental I can imagine them wanting it ASAP. The renters would be given a 30 day notice from the original leaser (per Washington State law) but they possibly could have been given the notice before the house went on the market (maybe the original landlords got tired of being landlords, told the tenants to move and then put the house on the market).
Hard to say really.

My house sold in December of 07 and I had 12 days to move. But that was one of the conditions of sale.. the faster I moved the more money I got out of the deal.

The owners are listed on the webpage I posted a link to.

Looks like they live in Hoquiam and that means the house must be used as a rental not a personal home.

Thanks, useful info for me. It does appear that the previous occupants were probably renters, because as you say the past owners live in Hoquiam Washington and were "perhaps" renting to ML and family (if this address is indeed her last known home). I have seen this address posted in a number of places and it is most definitely close to MB's home.

The current owners are listed on the webpage, not the past owners.

I don't know who owned it before the ones listed on there now.. it could have been ML and family or someone else.

And the current owners are married.. it's Last name, G****** B (is the husbands first name and middle initial) & J***** K (is the wifes first name middle initial)

Jen, I have been through there many times too and didn't remember those. That is why I thought I better go and snap some photos. I don't think of that as brush either, but those plants almost form a hedge that is pretty thick and at night could conceal someone very well. Maybe someone was hiding there and grabbed her from behind, then whisked her into a vehicle. The sidewalk that Lindsey would have taken goes right by them.

Thank you for the pictures. I was going to stop on our way home from my husbands acupuncture appointment at the Veterans Hospital but he was wiped out and was asleep I didn't want to bother him by stopping.

You are quite welcome Jen. In all honesty, I was going to get them anyway so I could help clear up some questions about my post last night and then ran into Kara today.

this might also contain their new address - it shows something mailed to their names on Simpson

Cyberswept: are you getting aircraft over your place right now too? I can hear them but haven't been able to see them, but they sound low again.

I looked outside, but didn't see anything. It's hard to hear at my house because I have the road noise and of course my neighbor is mowing his yard, so I am unable to confirm that McCleary.

That looks like the apartment complex...it's low income housing...only place in town I know of that takes section 8. Also right next to the creek.

Hi Norm, Thanks for that and I agree our locals are a fab group.

I live 2 hours south so am not a local, but we do have others like TakeNote and Lotsalatte who are quite close by - I hate to miss anyone when I give names :hand:, and then a wonderful widespread group from the Seattle area and down into the Eugene area here in Oregon.

And we can't forget our Northwest lurkers too. Thanks to all of them who pop up now and again. All in all it is a lovely group of posters all centered on helping to figure out what could have happened to Lindsey so she can be brought back home. xoxox

PS: Norm, You're quite close by as well right?

Hi Dear Scandi! I'm definately one of those Northwest lurkers. Or a lurker period. I much prefer to read. Can't believe all the stuff you have all come up with. Amazing! I'll never catch up.

Anyway, I wanted to comment on the Tumwater abduction some have mentioned. I grew up off of Dennis st, on 6th ave. My parents still live there and I travel that road daily. It's a very very busy area. You have the state buildings, Dairy Q, the school, Tumwater family practice area, Tumwater High School at the end of Dennis St.

There are people walking and kids playing everywhere. Hard to believe these perps were so brave to approach her here. However....I'm not at all surprised. I've been watching little tiny children walk on Capital Blvd and Dennis St home alone for years. It has always scared the beejesus out of me. I mean these are LITTLE kids.

Let's hope some parents got a wake up call with this situation.

So it looks like it went into foreclosure in December. They must have come up with the money to stop the sale and then sold it on their own in June. Or someone else bought it at auction in December and it was sold yet again in June.

Does anyone know when ML moved out?

OT -Norm,
I'm not much of a techie, but someone taught me to hit ctrl+f+7 and a window pops up where you can put what your looking for - say a name - and it will show up highlighted. Much easier then reading through everything.

Ok, it was another one of those things that I've passed a million times but wasn't sure if I had the right place on the map (google is showing it further west)

That is supposedly where ML and FL moved to (according to the link posted above)

Not sure why you were told to add the 7 button in there but CTL+F works too.
