when my child is born, I swear I want a gps tracking chip inserted. As horrible as that sounds, I'd go ape $hit if something happened to my child and I couldn't find him/her.

I'm raising the last of 4 bio and 4 step kids. I have NEVER been an overly protective mother. My kids grew up in the same neighborhood (heck, the same house) that I did. I knew all the neighbors and had no problems with my kids playing outside "until the street lights come on".
Poor youngest child is almost 14 and I won't let her out of my sights unless I run background checks on people she might encounter and I also make sure she has TWO (not just one) fully charged cell phone batteries on her at all times.

I've even gotten to the point that I take a picture of her before she leaves the house.. that way I will know exactly what she is wearing.

Wow! Does this woman have a built in honing device for digital cameras or what?! LOL Actually, I am glad you ran into her. At least if she keeps talking, we can find out piece by piece her story. Some of it adds up and other parts not so much.

I hope she is simply not aware of finding the clothing instead of it really not having been found at all. That part was disappointing. She did say that LE wasn't being very forthcoming with her tho.

I am not familiar with the Laura Recovery Center. Boondock found an item on CL which said they donated a building next to Subway so I would assume this is the group setting up the command center. (Good job, BD! Now we know the finer details.) I am happy they will be there to organize searches and keep Lindsey's case going with the public.

Ha! You found the pool! Amazing! So if you could see it...some Joe Blow could also see the girls playing in their bathing suits in and around the pool? Could someone see them from the Shell station? This could add another reason to go over those Shell tapes again.

(Hey, Scandi...sounds like you need to go to Shell for a sales call! Their camera is worthless!!)

Great photos, Cyber! It does help me to put things in perspective A LOT!! It doesn't look anything like I had pictured in my mind in that area. I had no clue that fence was there and the creek with steep banks. Also, it is more spread out than I realized. Thanks~

Any idea what that old rusty 55 gal. drum is doing just sitting there beside the air/water pump? (Hope they checked it.)

You do anything that Mrs. wants you to do and keep her happy. Being a sleuth here requires we maintain our family obligations so they are not so grouchy when the trial comes and we are stuck like glue to the computer. ;)

Excellent job, Cyber!

Lovely post SS and I was just sitting here thinking how lucky we are to have every single poster contributing here like they do. Can you believe how quickly all that info about ML developed here tonight from start to finish, up to the vacant land! Amazing.

Hee Hee, I was also dreading leaving tonight to go pick up my grandgirlie, loving her as I do, and lo and behold she called and doesn't need a ride after all. :)

I have no idea how long ago it was cleared...but I would say it was done before Lindsey went missing...I think they cleaned out the trailers sometime after a man was killed when a tree fell on one...but I'm not totally sure. I'm trying to find out more info...

He was killed in that big hurricane like storm in December 07, right?

What are they? Freaking Gypsies? We have less trouble tracking absconded sex offenders! LOL

Please, no Gypsies, this is tough enough. Sorry, just had to respond to the creative response.

Totally OT, but because of this Lindsey thing and because of the sleuthers here on this website.. I ran full background checks on my daughters Youth Group leaders last week before allowing her to take a one week camping trip with them.

They had strict rules of "no electronics" on the trip. Well I put my foot down and told them my daughter was taking her cell phone and she would be allowed to carry it. It would be turned off at all times so it wouldn't bother anyone but I wanted her to have it incase of an emergency.
I won and she got to take it.
WTG, JenniferO!! I would have demanded she keep it on tho...as a GPS tracking device to add to her safety. I guess it might have been pushing it a bit. You did the right thing. Glad to see you checked out the leaders, too! I wish everyone would just take the time to do these things before sending their kids off with relative strangers in authority roles.

I want to say that our local McCleary-ites have gone far beyond the call of WS duty for this case! We appreciate every single one of you in the area that have done so much to bring this town to life for us all. From the maps, to the endless inquiries about details, photos, more questions, and keeping us all up to date with the latest happenings...it has been amazing!

It is wonderful to work together on a case instead of being divided. Whew!

Speaking of dirt, rocks and gravel... there is a lot of new dirt at the McCleary School itself. It is getting a remodel/addition. Not sure what their progress is, but I think some of that was still going on when Lindsey went missing. They must have checked that out though (LE).

A number of posters here tonight have mentioned how absolutely helpful your great photos have been. I'm a visual learner and get so much from photos, personally. My request to all of you locals, if you can, and can find the time, please post as many photos as you can manage without completely upsetting your personal lives.

Your photos are so appreciated!

They were working on the school all the last year...a lot of the classes were in portables that left the area after Lindsey went missing.

Thanks SS for putting that all in one post. Neato!

I bet the bushes are about the same by the SS bridge a bit further down, right, with an embankment going down to the water. Not much water in that creek it looks like, but enough to keep that vegitation strong and healthy.

We used to make forts in places like that when I was a kid!

Thanks for that, I certainly hope that LE is checking out any newly disturbed construction or deconstruction. Clearly criminals in the past have taken distinct advantage of "construction" and "destruction" of local properties where any disturbance of land doesn't seem to be suspect. A great means and method of getting rid of anything nasty.

Thanks~ I am in awe of our posters here! I worked and came home to a nap...so I am very far behind. I don't know much yet about the ML thing except she is hard to track and we lost her at the vacant land. Someone call the dogs in, eh? We will track her the old fashioned way. hehehe

Anything else I have missed today and tonight?

ETA: A special thanks to Dragonfly for the scanner site!! I looked and looked the other night and could not find one...but I guess it would have helped if I knew which county to look for in the first place. LOL

There was one photo in particular which was a stellar shot looking at the 9 cars parked in a row with a red arrow showing the road to Lindsey's house.

If you go back Cyber, I would love to see a shot from the north side of that bridge looking thru the trees to her house. You'd get a Krams for that ;}

PS: that's a Swedish hug or two Haa Haa

Isn't 211 in the same building as the video store and dollar-type place? The video store is at 225 W Simpson and Mike's Market is at 205...so that should put it in the first suite of the little strip mall.

The assessors page isn't showing a 211 but it's showing a 219 (strip mall where subway is) so I linked that one because I think that's where it's at since KK said it was near the Subway.

She did say in one comment that everyone in town knew her and who she is. One way would be to mail her something she has to sign for with return to sender, but that would be totally, well devious to do. LOLOLOL

It's probably overwhelming for you who have the cameras and are approximate to McCleary, but, as can be seen here, it is extremely helpful and anything that you can do is clearly appreciated. One thing is for sure, you've done enough already!

I sure hope they went through those with the dogs before they moved them!
