This is some wild speculation on my part, but leave no stone unturned and all that...

There was a guy living in the woods whose camp was abandoned in June. Searchers couldn't find him. It was in a neighboring town, Shelton, something like that, along Mills Creek and the railway line that goes through McCleary.

Is it possible someone like him could be the abductor of Lindsey?

Did they ever find the guy? I'll look for the story.

Here it is: http://www.king5.com/localnews/stori...a.html?rss?npc

OK, link I saved, is no longer operational. Wonder why.

I just wanted to comment a bit more on the creek. I guess I should have mentioned the water level before. This is not a deep creek. It might, from what I could see, be a little over the ankle, but in my opinion to cluttered and to shallow to float a body. Also it is not a bridge in the sense that you can walk right under it. I don't even know that I would call it a bridge. It's more like a small drainage ditch that is culverted and looks to run under the Shell Station pumps.

PS - I won't be around much today, need to get some work done so I don't end up in that culvert.

I noticed on the park side of the bridge on the right there appeared to be an area where it looked like either erosion or a place where kids may have made a pathway down to the water. IIRC, the folliage was gone and so you wouldn't be able to tell in that area. (This was JVK's photo)

I don't think soaked shoes would have been any big deal to explain around McCleary with all the fishing places around town.

I wonder how deep the water was during the time she went missing?

Yes, but soaked shoes at eleven o'clock at night would have been hard explain, especially since we have had one of the longest dry spells around here in years. About the only way you'd get soaked feet is from a hose or from walking in a creek.

Just showed the wife a picture of the pool where the wheelbarrow is setting. She says that is not the wheelbarrow he was pushing my daughter in.

A person wearing flip flops could dry off pretty fast. ;)

Thanks for explaining the depth of that little creek. However, when we were discussing the water in that other area which was right by the road (I forgot the name of it) which was completely full and looked rather ominous...didn't someone say it was due to the runoff or something and was unusual? Wouldn't this hold true for the smaller drainage ditches, too?

I just want to say you people are wonderful.. I read your posts eveyday and want to thank you all for your dedication.. It bothers me that the police and FBI have given nothing to the public.. I live on the east coast and if it wasn't because of this site I would never have heard of Lindsey.

I do have some questions aout Lindsey's life.. I know that her parents are divorced and her father lives somewhere else but are their any other relatives in her life besides her mother and brother? Grandparents? Aunts? Uncles?

Do they live in an apartment or is it a house?

Do they live alone or with other relatives?

Does her mother work full time or part time and where and who are the kids with when she is working?

Some years ago my husband and I met a divorced woman who was renting an apartment from my in-laws.. She had a son 12 and daughter 9.. She had no relatives and the children became part of our family because the mother worked full time and they spent most days with my inlaws or with us.. If not they spent many days home alone.. These kids fought like cats and dogs.. Arguing all the time, fighting and insulting one another.. I would often go over to the house and take one of them for the night just so they could have a break from one another.. Being a single Mom is very difficult and without help from others near impossible.. These kids are now grown and have families of their own and everything is good but I often wonder if she didn't have good people to help her what would have happened to these kids..

So my questions is did she have good people to help her? Who did they go to when she couldn't be there?
I think Lindsey went with someone who she trusted who could it be?

I'm sure these questions have already been answered but I can't help but wonder...

there have been a few relatives shown in clips from the media (if the media is reporting correctly)

cousin: A. Wharton

Here's a link to story about homeless man missing from camp:

http://so.co.mason.wa.us/index.php?aid=544

Interesting photo on here showing searchers with waders and dogs near Mills creek.
It is interesting to note, but LE seems more concerned with his well being and safety as opposed to him being a danger to anyone. The article mentions he would not have missed his son's graduation, he maintains a room (so he isn't really homeless and transient), and that he has seizures. This paints the picture of a man down on his luck with ties to his family, community, and has a medical condition which could account for him being missing.

Just showed the wife a picture of the pool where the wheelbarrow is setting. She says that is not the wheelbarrow he was pushing my daughter in.
It is curious where he got a wheelbarrow unless their landlord owns it and had it at their house for a reason. I know if I didn't have a vehicle and was supporting to kids alone...a wheelbarrow would not be on my list of things to buy.

I noticed in the photos behind the white barriers behind the ballfield...there are large piles of what look to be gravel. Were they there before? Could they have a wheelbarrow to use to move that gravel around to different areas? Maybe he "borrowed" it. ;)

That picture of the runoff area near KKs house (I think it runs along Maple) was due to a severe storm that we had in December 2007. High winds (I think it was equal to a Level 5 hurricane) and an ungodly amount of rain. All of the rivers in our area flooded (even made Montesano a little island) and it made our lives hell for a few weeks (no power and the power companies weren't able to make repairs because the roads were flooded, most gas stations ran out of gas and couldn't get new shipments.). There was even a woman who had to be rescued via a boat by her neighbors because she went into labor and couldn't get to the hospital Wow that was a crazy 🤬🤬🤬 storm (and I was moving during it! how fun) and a very exciting time for our county.

What we need is a picture of it currently because I'm sure there isn't that much water in it now (or on June 26) due to the fact that we have had a very hot dry summer so far.

It was not WW. He sat in the bleachers. I don't know his name, but it was the pastor of the church. You can see him in several photos leading the vigil.

Are you sure it wasn't WW? The guy in the photos looks a lot like the person in this video from the first vigil which was said to be WW:

if it is not WW, does anyone know who this person is?

MB did have a car. But it had broken down a few days before Lindsey went missing.

I don't find a single mom owning a wheelbarrow to be odd. I had two after I left my first husband (but then I have always kept a very nice yard and garden.. so a wheelbarrow is a must in my life. lol)

Lindsey was last seen by two different people between 5th and 6th walking down Maple. With that in mind, do we know if she was walking with or against traffic? JVK's first group of pics showed homes on one side of Maple and a guard rail on the other. Behind the guard rail was thick woods. Does anyone know what side she was walking on? If not, is there a logical guess? If two different people reported seeing her in this spot and no where else, then my guess is this is where she was taken.:confused: TIA

I that's not WW in the picture comparison recently posted, then they must be identical twin brothers...JMO!

There are houses on both sides of the road between 5th and 6th on Maple

Didn't I read that one person who saw Lindsey was a co-worker of MB's? She didn't verify the other person or appear to know about there being another one according to something I read earlier here.

If we can't find the details on if there were two people, who they are, and where they were to see Lindsey...I doubt if anyone can say with any certainty about which side of the street she was on when last seen.

Why can't they just flipping tell who the last person/people were to see her?! I don't understand what makes this a huge secret to LE or anyone else unless they are suspect of the person/people.

Can a witness ask to be kept secret?

Maybe they have children and fear retaliation of some sort?

Hi there SeriouslySearching: The police verified the first person spotting Lindsey saying that person worked for the county. The 2nd person was mom Baum saying the 2nd person is co-worker. Both verified Lindsey as being around the same place on Maple - between 5th and 6th.

My guess as to why the names of the people were not made available is that they wanted to remain anonymous (I guess I don't blame them). Unfortunately the police have NO obligation to tell us anything - not even the truth.

If LE has as little info as we do, my guess is that they are far more frustrated than we are.

Yup witnesses ask for it all the time, the media doesn't have to honor the request, and they usually don't. I am amazed that the witnesses names are not out in print already.
Makes me wonder if this an LE ploy and the witnesses really don't exist at all.

Could it be possible that LE has a reason to suspect someone in that stretch of road and are trying to make that person nervous, saying that people saw her in on their part of the road?
