That's sad- about the 2 ducks. Can you tell me approximately how large the duck blind was (500 sf etc.)?

I am so bad with square footage. So, about 25 feet by 8 feet equals 200 feet?

Can you confirm that JF is (or was) the boyfriend of WC? I've never heard it from a source as direct as you.

If you check out the business licenses they have the same address.

James, I agree! Calculated, permanant body disposal was their intent and the reason they chose that particular location. The residence would provide hardened cover for post mortum action and the duck blind would provide covered access to the water. They stash the body in the blind to retrieve later from boat or dispose of from shore after dismemberment. I think they ran out of darkness and the discovery was made next day. Oh ya...MOO

Mackenzie went missing one month ago today. If we only knew what was happening one month ago at this very time.

What do you mean by "post mortum action"?

IMHO, and as has been speculated in these threads before, the CB property was chosen because the perp thought it would be a good place to conceal the body either hoping it would not be found for awhile, and then hard to identify if found, or later to come back and move it again. The perp having familiarity with the property, knowledge of the duck blind, and knowledge that duck season was over does make sense as to why that location was chosen.

Likewise, IMHO the PCR was also chosen to abandon the car because it was far away from the other location, and the perp hoped that they would spend their time looking there and not elsewhere. IMO he wanted the car to be found, since it would have been totally unrealistic to think otherwise. As it was, they did spend considerable time searching the area around where the car was found.

Everything unraveled, so it would seem, when the body was discovered so soon. It seems to me that it is just a matter of time before the perp is apprehended. I hope so . . .

Hi Everyone,

I want to second what James Vic said regarding the CB property and the duck blind we are learning about now: IMO it is extremely likely that the person knew of this location beforehand, and did not just happen to find it randomly prior to placing MC there. So IMO maybe the takeaway is "prior knowledge of the CB property and duck blind"?

Related note: IIRC someone here suggested that the figure eight brodie tracks in the yard looked old, as in older than Feb. 13? If in fact they were older than Feb. 13th, another word for that is prior. Someone here suggested they had to be motorcycle brodie marks. To sum up...is one possibility a person who is a motorcycle rider with prior knowledge of the CB property?

Even being ignorant of this area, by looking at the map posted earlier (sorry I can't remember the poster), MC was taken in the exact opposite direction of her home. It makes it appear that the killer knew where she lived and wanted to avoid running into her friends/family/parents.

One contradiction I noted is that Del Rio said maybe a gun wasn't used because the killer was a felon and doesn't carry a gun. I thought that was an astute observation. However, we also said that it seems only duck hunters (or yard maintenance people) would notice Del Rio's duck blind. If the killer was a felon, then he probably wasn't a duck hunter, right?

If infact the killer knew about the duck blind because they were a hunter, that could possibly make sense of why MC's car was left on PCR....my husband told me there is hunting done off of that road. And like someone else mentioned that (in so many words) someone would use a place that they were used to, or common to them. So to sum up what I'm saying...maybe we're looking at someone who used PCR as a place to travel to their hunting site who ALSO duck hunted and/or fished in the CB area.

Looked at new information. Find it interesting that WC bf x sjn has a small section that links to different sites. Also did a google search and found a few interesting tidbits in relation to YouTube 560KPQ's video of MC walking to her car, and then also something on Free BlackBerry Stuff website. Just interesting

What is the blackberry stuff website? i did a google and got lots of hits.

Felons seem to always find guns, if they want to. So maybe a duck hunter was a felon?

Since killers obviously aren't law-abiding citizens, what would make one assume they wouldn't carry a gun illegally?

I 'think' that the reporting of Mackenzie's car so soon, as well as the discovery of her body, were both indicated in Tuba's first chart as well, as "part of fortune".

Pretty amazing, imo!

Based on my extremely limited association with felons, they are quite careful about being caught with a gun.

It's possible if there was a felon hunter, they could use a friend's gun to hunt with? When someone goes hunting, does anyone else ever just "tag" along, not actually hunting?

Unless you can hunt ducks with bows and arrows. If not, then I believe you're right. I can't think of why any person would be on that property, especially where the duck blind is, between November and February but to hunt or fish--unless somebody was viewing (or showing) the property. There wouldn't be any yard work to be done that time of year. Or, am I missing something?

Del Rio- is the circled area where your duck blind was?

No. Do you remember where the stream exits the heavy brush cover? About 2 feet up river from there. It's right at the edge of the tree/bush line at the river bank. You were probably looking right at but didn't notice it because it is made of natural foliage.

Yeah, good point about borrowing a gun. And buddies tagging a long who aren't hunting happens a lot.

Someone looking for a place to party?
