WA - Major security incident at SeaTac Airport. All planes are grounded, Aug 2018

Well no, you said “virtually anyone can snap like this guy did” which isn’t at all what my post was referring to, and your most recent post seems to have backtracked on your previous comment.

Depression isn’t one size fits all.
I'm sorry again.

I should have said that anyone who is suffering from depression could snap like this guy and crash any kind of vehicle anywhere at anytime.

I think the nose down part is the part where he’s going to crash. He said elsewhere to atc that he hadn’t really planned on landing it.

I believe his exact words were: "I wouldn't know how to land, I wasn't really planning on landing it." Not planning to land it, is not exactly the same thing as planning to crash. Not planning to land it, can mean that he had not thought about that part. It reminds me of watching police pursuits. Almost every one of them, the helicopter pilot will ask at least once, "What is this guy thinking? He can't possibly get away from all these police." Which is the whole point. They don't think about it.

It’s not just depression. The mania in high cycle can be so exhilarating. Living on the edge is where creation can live during this mood altered experience. Skewed roles are assigned to different players in life. They believe you believe what they believe. It’s their perception of reality. If you don’t understand, they don’t understand why you don’t. Roles are reversed. The world has gone mad and you are the equalizer. It’s so complex.

After the pilot congratulated him on the flip he expressed his disappintment " I was kinda hoping that would be it

but the thrill of doing it was so amazing to him he thought naw i can crash in a bit I wanna do it some more

he was loving it the power control he was over water not hurt anyone

got his bucket list and wanted one more imo

deep in my heart there is sadness here - he so captivated me the first time i heard the atc

for the first couple of minutes i was thinking oh my he is completely manic and out of control - but as time passed he was (except andrew!0) present aware but so brilliant

and i think some of the wittiness of his brain was cause for the most part he knew (that happens to me) something funny was brewing ha but he had the mic on one second before the funny line came out !!

moo

I def think they kept out some stuff --the cutoff after the white comment was not like some of the others you can hear him continue with "they"..................

I think that was it. He was probably a wannabe pilot who couldn't make it. So he got a minimum wage airport ground job, so he could at least be around planes. But he was not satisfied with the job. Flying at least once was still on his bucket list, and he decided this was the only way he was going to do it. He was looking for a thrill, not necessarily to kill himself IMHO.

but

the kinda was hoping ( one more)

the earnest I really don't know how to land

the term disappoint felt more like death as opposed to i know a lot of you are going to be pissed that i did this (jail)

a lot of time suicide is loneliness the fact that he still was ready after acknowledging that he knew he had a lot of people that care so indicated the despair he was in

disappoint was super telling to me moo

I truly hope the fbi goes home if ntsb can get lead we will get everything if they are second we are gonna nothing or BS

The NTSB report should be interesting.

FBI is lead now that is very bad!!

they will do the recorders and give it to them and they decide if they will release

when its only ntsb they release right as soon as they have it

i get fbi in the beginning but really this is not terror they should go away and let us have ntsb !

I don't see how the FBI could investigate this. Crash investigations are not their thing.

he NTSB recovered the flight data recorder from the crash site,

some human remains located

Plane Stolen From Seattle Airport Was Destroyed Beyond Recognition After Deadly Crash: Officials

plane went through several 100-foot-high lines of trees and was fragmented from the crash into pieces tiny enough to pick up, NTSB Western Pacific Region chief Debra Eckrote said Sunday.

You couldn’t even tell it was a plane except for some of the bigger sections, like the wing section,” Eckrote said. “Even the small sections, most of it doesn’t resemble a plane.”

Military jets did not bring the plane down

He was in uniform, had proper credentials and had clearance to be in secure aircraft areas, said Tilden, the airline CEO.

“They’re credential employees. They’re there to work on the airplanes. … This is aviation in America.

The fact he was out there by himself, towing the aircraft by himself … then moving the tracker out of the way, so he could get on the aircraft and move. The fact that all of that happened without even being noticed by anyone on the ground service crew, that is just phenomenal to me,

This kind of destruction (Controlled FLight Into Terrain ) often results in total dissemination of the plane pics if other CFIT crashes :

I am not sure why it is important to some people whether he was intending to commit suicide or died accidentally.

Just posting cause its interesting

Hypoxia in action!

What is amazing is listen to what happens as the plane gets lower and his brain slowly starts to come back to life as he gets into airspace that can provide the brain oxygen!

If flying is on your bucket list, presumably you can go take some flight lessons.

Did I say that? My response was to Jenny basically implying this guy had no reason to be depressed. Please refrain from taking my posts out of context, please and thanks.

So far nobody who knew the guy even said they noticed that he was depressed.
