Mandrea Runnels’ boyfriend reported she left to the library on Argonne on February 21, 2020, and did not return. He’s called her phone, but Mandrea hasn’t answered or returned the calls. He also checked with family and friends, but no one has heard from Mandrea. He states this is unusual behavior for her, and he is extremely concerned for her welfare.

Mandrea’s sister and daughter have also reported they are very concerned for Mandrea’s welfare.

Mandrea did not show up for work during this time, and her coworker stated that it highly unlike Mandrea not to call and check-in.

Mandrea Runnel is described as a 45-year-old black female, approximately 5’02”, 125 lbs., with black hair, brown eyes, and could be wearing eyeglasses.

She’s possibly traveling in her maroon/burgundy 2004 Dodge Dakota, with Washington license plates C29226N. The truck has a “=” sticker on the tailgate, just above the word Dodge on the driver’s side.

If you have seen Mandrea Runnel, her burgundy 2004 Dodge Dakota with Washington license plates C29226N, or know of her location, you are asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233, reference #10024493.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a missing woman last seen on Friday.

Family and friends say they haven’t heard from Mandrea K. Runnels, 45, of Spokane Valley, since she told her boyfriend she was going to the Argonne Library on Feb. 21, a news release said. Runnels has not answered her phone or shown up for work during this time.

Runnels has black hair and brown eyes, and she is approximately 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds, the news release said. She may be wearing glasses and traveling in a maroon/burgundy 2004 Dodge Dakota with Washington license plate C29226N. The truck has an “=” sign sticker on the tailgate, just above the word “Dodge” on the driver’s side.

People with information about Runnels’ whereabouts or anyone who has seen her car can call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233 with reference No. 10024493.

Still no updates that I can find. Previously viewable SM posts by family members have been removed or hidden. I can't get Tina off my mind! I sure hope she's safe somewhere.
It is very frustrating that no further information has been released. I hope Mandrea can be found soon.

ETA: I did find posts on FB from Mandrea's sister (or sister-in-law), "PDF-R," and posts from Mandrea's daughter. There was also a fundraiser page on FB. I don't know why these posts didn't show up in the FB search, but I found the SIL in a comment from this MSM article on FB:

I can see Tina's sister's posts on her facebook page. It would be helpful if LE also says Mandrea goes by "Tina". Some may not know her by her legal name.

Her daughter had a public post that was hidden (or removed) midweek last week, and that post contained updated information in the comments. I know we can't discuss that here, but it's related to Tina's car. I reached out to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office to try and get information, but nothing was provided. I feel so frustrated for Tina. I wonder if maybe "they" have an idea as to what happened, which is why there aren't any updates, pleas, etc. :(

A new article, with some great photos of Tina.

Family of missing Spokane Valley woman begs anyone with information to come forward, foul play unknown | FOX 28 Spokane

"...her truck was found near the library."

“Honestly I’m not sure what to think,” Runnels’ sister Portia said. “It seems there hasn’t been anything leading law enforcement to believe there was foul play. We’re kind of left filling in the blanks with the information we do have.”

“My last conversation with her was pleasant,” her sister said. “She had just received a card (from me) and said she appreciated that I always think of her. We told each other we loved each other. I told her I was saving money so our mom and I could visit her together this year. She said she was looking forward to that.”

Runnels’ 46th birthday is April 1st. Her family is speaking to KHQ because they desperately hope to have answers well before that special day

“If someone knows something, I’d want them to know she’s so loved and dearly missed,” Portia said. “We’re heartbroken and her kids miss her like crazy. Whatever happened, we just want to bring her home and make sure she’s at peace and give her kids some closure.”

And I just noticed that the Spokane County Sheriff's Office posted this update:

She has not been located. Please remember there are privacy and investigative issue to consider with cases like this. Her family has been in contact with investigators and informed of the status of the case. Your concern is understood and appreciated, but we've provided what information we can at this time. We hope you understand, Thank you.

Reading between the lines, I'm thinking they believe self-harm. :(

I found this article, dated Feb 26, 2020, but updated on March 4, 2020. It had some information about what I had seen discussed in great detail on SM. It is about the difficulty obtaining digital information until Andrea's missing person case becomes a criminal investigation:

Deputies gather evidence in case of missing Spokane Valley woman

"Spokane County Sheriff's Corporal Mark Gregory said their first step in the investigation was to determine if she may have left on her own.

"Generally on cases like this, we have to look at that angle and try to figure out which way to go," Gregory said.

Gregory said they're now looking at a couple of leads but aren't ready to publicly release this information. In order for the sheriff's office to investigate, they have to classify the case as a criminal investigation."

IMO, it is just so sad that it is so extremely difficult for LE to gain access to cell phones and computers of missing adults.

Tina has a new post on Facebook as of about an hour ago. It's a blog post, so I'm not sure if it's something that posts automatically, or if she (or someone) had to post it. I can't find any family updates about her being found safe, but I'm cautiously optimistic!
