YPD is asking for the public's help in locating 27 year old Maverick Craig. Maverick's family is concerned for his wellbeing as Maverick has not been seen since 12/1/18. Maverick is 5'9'' tall and approximately 150 lbs. Please call 911 if you have any information on Maverick's whereabouts, or if Maverick is located.

He was last seen just outside of Union Gap, off Interstate 82 exit 40, where some of Maverick's belongings were found.

"This is very uncharacteristic of Maverick," Cotner said. "He's had his problems in the past but he's always stayed in touch, he’s got a mother, father, brother and sister that he is very close to and communicates with."

Police have little to no leads about Maverick's disappearance, so the Craig family is turning to the public for help.

"I'm asking for help from our good friends and neighbors at the Yakama Indian Nation to keep their eyes and ears open and help us bring our son home," Craig said.

"YAKIMA, Wash. — A body found on an island in the Yakima River in late July has been identified as a Yakima man missing since early December.

Yakima County Coroner Jim Curtice identified the remains found on July 21 as Maverick Craig, who was 27 years old when he was reported missing on Dec. 1. Craig would have turned 28 in April.

"The Yakima County Coroner’s Office and its staff offer our condolences to the family and friends of Maverick Craig," Curtice said in a news release.

Craig’s remains were positively identified with the use of dental records, Curtice said."
