I'm M Lerner, his mother. I don't understand how this works, I guess. what was the blog that was removed and why would being related to an M Lerner have anything to do with him being missing?

<modsnip: to avoid confusion>

I'm sorry for what you and your family are going through. I hope your son is found soon.

If I recall correctly, the post that was deleted here by a moderator was about a 2018 Medium blog in which a M Lerner documented her son's (same first name and age as the missing person) battle with addiction. The update posted on the blog from Jan 16 2021 stated that her son relapsed and took his life a week earlier. <modsnip>

oh... Yes, that is me. I am the writer, and I put that in there because we are assuming that he is gone. Thank you for making that connection, I didn't think anyone read it.

Thank you for the clarification. I think some people might have concluded from that article that he had been found.

This post lands at random.

We never, never post that a person is deceased without official confirmation from official sources such as LE or via MSM, NAMUS, or other approved sources. Not every missing person site is approved by Websleuths. There are thousands of them on the internet and we have no way of vetting all of them. We rely on the sources that we know to be accurate through association with them over time.

Long story short, Nathan who we are all hoping to find is NOT known to be deceased.

I have asked his mom to never give up hope because we have seen miracles before.

ADMIN NOTE:

It must be absolutely clarified that Nathan is still classified as a Missing Person and he has NOT been located deceased.

Now that it has been established that the blog was written by Nathan's mother, we are reposting those links below with the distinct caveat that:

In "Another Heroin Diary" (linked below) where his mom states he is deceased, she has advised that was her assumption at the time she stated that as fact, but she has no information that substantiates that statement.

In other words everyone, this means Nathan could still be alive, and that is our most sincere hope.

Addiction: How Heroin now owns my family

Another Heroin Diary

Sorry for so many removed posts throughout the confusion and misunderstanding.

I just wanted to mention that I read that Michael Zachary Fortenberry also went missing in Carbonado in February 2020 and his car was also found close to where Nathan's was found.
(BBM)
Nathan: On 01/08/2021, his vehicle was located about .5 miles south of the Fairfax Bridge in Carbonado, WA with the keys still in the ignition
vs
Michael: Mr. Fortenberry was last seen near the Fairfax Bridge near Carbonado on February 9th, 2020. Fortenberry's car has been recovered, but he has not been located.

Just wondering if there is there something about that particular location?

Michael's case is here:

This Nathan's mom again - I didn't read this far down before. This is freaky - same place, keys in the car, that's it. thank you for posting - I mean, it's a high bridge, if there is suicidal ideation I guess it's chosen for that reason. But... I'm so confused.

Oh @mnldis, I just read your first blog. It was so heartwrenching I have to take a moment before reading the second. I am so sorry for everything you've been through. I hope that Nathan is found so that you can have closure, and maybe after all these years have some peace.

Was Nathan ever found?

I'm originally from Washington, on Google street view if you travel this road around the half mile South mark it's very tight with guard rails or concrete barriers, it would almost have to be out on the road. I'm sorry for everything.

Breezin he was staying with a family friend? Do not have his own place? Do not live near Washington? Not sure helps with the case but if you think he might actually be alive It might help

Just seeing your posting, thank you for reading what I wrote. Nothing yet, we feel certain he is now part of everything in the natural world where he ended it all. there were terrible floods, many of them, and we think he is washed out to sea and there is nothing left. a body was found in the area recently, but the detective said the skull seemed to have been there for 3 years, and it wasn't in the place he would have washed up... who knows. Thank you so much...

No, not yet. We doubt he will be. I need to go out there and stand on the bridge where we know he leapt, but I'm not up to it yet... thank you for your kindness.

Aug 31, 2022 article. I believe he is still missing, although in this article Nathan's mom says it was a suicide. Very good article about Nathan.
