Nguyet (who uses the first name "Anna") was last seen after she dropped her fiance off in west Seattle, Washington on November 9, 1998. She has never been heard from again.
Two days later, her white Acura CL sedan with the Washington license plate number 855FDS was found at the Riverside Inn, a bar and casino in the 14000 block of Interurban Avenue south in Tukwila, Washington.
In the days after her disappearance, someone used her debit card at cash machines at various Seafirst banks in the Seattle area. Authorities arrested her ex-boyfriend in connection with the thefts. He had also been arrested for assaulting her in September 1998. It's unclear whether the ex-boyfriend is a suspect in her disappearance, but her fiance has been cleared of involvement.
She left behind a young daughter and an elderly mother, whom she lived with. She was employed as a hair stylist at the Hair Masters salon in Burien, Washington.
She was last seen wearing a black dress, a black T-shirt with an attached white vest, black dress shoes, and a black blazer or black leather coat. She also wore a gold chain necklace with a cross and a diamond ring.
