GUILTY WA - Nicole Pietz, 32, found strangled, Lynnwood, 28 Jan 2006

I guess it depends on what they mean by "several". She was found on Monday the 6th, so that would be eight days missing.

Steve, I lived in Seattle by myself from the time I was 18 til I was 26 and loved it. Of course, there are horrible random things that happen and there are better and worse neighborhoods in every city. It does sometimes seem that Washington in general attracts more than its share of serial killers. But Seattle really is a wonderful place to live!

So no known leads on a POI or suspect?

Mystery Surrounds Woman's Disappearance

UPDATED: February 2, 2006

LYNNWOOD, Wash. -- Family, friends and police are looking for a 32-year-old Lynnwood woman who has been missing for several days, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

Nicole Pietz left her home for "an important personal meeting" Saturday evening in Renton but never arrived, police said.
Does anyone know anything about the "important personal meeting"? With whom? Where? When? Why?

There just is not much information about this one! It certainly sounds as though the mother suspects the husband did this one. I do, too!

A year later and still no answers. Nicole's Mom speaks out in this article. She says Nicole left her wedding ring at home the day she disappeared, which was definitely not the norm ...

From that link, her mother says that "Wherever she is, she says she wakes up every Saturday morning at 1:30 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. That's when Schneider believes her daughter took her last breath on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006."

Wonder why she thinks that is the time? Just because she awakens at that time, or does she know something that we don't. Also, IF that were true, that would mean that Nicole didn't leave for some meeting on Saturday - she was already deceased. Too much we don't know, but what little bit is there makes me suspicious of the husband at this point.

That is what I want to know...was she going to meet a group of friends at 7:00 in the morning or was she having a "important personal meeting" with someone? Seems like her husband was the last one to see her and he should know who she was going to meet. I doubt that she walked out the door without telling him anything.

I wonder if she had a big life insurance policy? I also wonder what kind of a marriage they had besides financial problems which aren't unusual for a couple to have. When does anyone ever have enough money?????? I wonder if the police ever supected the husband?

I doubt she went to meet anyone for a "super top secret important meeting".

She and and her husband probably had a fight, she took off her wedding ring. Husband got pissed and killed her.
He went to the dinner party and didn't report her missing til morning because he knew where she was.
I agree with previous posters that a body being positioned usually reflects a sex crime, and many times it happens more than once. It sounds to me like this was staged by someone wanting to cover up their crime or lead investigators down a different trail.
Did they find blood in the home, in the car, interview people at the dinner party?

Bumping this up for Nicole.

So we still don't have a POI or a suspect? I can't believe we don't know anything at all...

The last I heard was way back when, that her family and her husband had a falling out and they suspected him. Another poster on the Nicholas Francisco thread was a coworker of Nicole's. They mentioned her and I thought I would bump this thread for them.
