Two things from your article stood out to me that I can't make sense of. Jane Doe is the mother.

How would graphic images of the children's deceased bodies, or graphic details about their deaths, and LE's investigation, put the mother's life and physical safety in grave danger? Would it be that people would get angry at the details, and blame the mother for allowing him to take the children for a visit? Or could it be something else?

1) the records could contain sensitive personal information related to "Jane Doe," as well as "obscene or graphic images of the children's deceased bodies; obscene or graphic details and information about the children's deaths and/or cause(s) of death; and /or other information regarding law enforcement's active investigation."

2) "... Disclosure of these exempt public records would put Ms. Doe's life and physical safety in grave danger," the lawyers wrote.
Those are the same questions I have @gemme. I think a lawyer amongst us is best to answer.

The terms 'obscene' and 'grave' got my attention as I can't interpret their meanings in this context.

So I went to Merriam: OBSCENE, GRAVE

The best lay interpretation I come up with is the content related to the girls bodies and conditions when found is abhorrent.

And perhaps something in the material could give away WD's location(s) and she believes TD is still a mortal threat to her.

IMO.

Here is an older article. I believe the misquoted diagnosis might be closer to reality, and marijuana nowadays is extremely high-potency. I think that the judge and WD’s lawyer were extremely lenient to TD given how it ended.

“Court documents state Travis Decker showed clear signs of bipolar personality disorder, which he was supposed to seek health treatments and anger management counseling for, but likely wasn't. The court order also asked to prohibit Decker's use of marijuana in the vehicle where he was currently living.”

So on top of everything else, he was exposing the girls to second-hand effect of marijuana.

I’d just assume, some people are angry, jealous and rush to conclusions. If the judge thinks it makes sense, it does.
After seeing victims attacked on SM, crazy killer fan clubs, etc. I completely understand this decision.

From the court document linked in this article (page 7 of 13): "Disclosure of the Exempt Public Records would substantially and irreparably damage Plaintffs by jeopardizing Chelan County's ongoing investigation and endangering Ms. Doe's life and/or physical safety, as Ms. Doe is much more likely to be subject to acts of violence by her Ex-Spouse who is missing, dangerous, and possibly armed."

It goes on to say that the release of these records, especially the photos, would subject "Ms. Doe to even further pain, harassment, and/or embarrassment." It cites the court case where Kurt Cobain's family members sued to prevent release of his death scene photographs.

I can imagine, TD sent pics of his girls (obscene??) to WD. These pics incl. conversation would be a problem, if made public. MOO

Requested documents included radio logs, photos, emails, body camera and dashcam video, and instant messages.

Based on the idea that TD had mental problems, I think the mother's life could be in danger. Maybe not even immediately. If TD is alive, not found, he could be years in the making of harming his ex when she least expected it. Mental problems don't just dissolve.

I agree, the mother's life could be in danger on an ongoing basis for now and for always if TD is not caught and is still alive, presumably.

MOO, he is still alive, and LE hasn't said anything to the contrary of late, which is why there's still a nationwide manhunt on to find him...

So it is of no wonder to me, that she has to protect herself by filing legal documents as "Jane Doe" going forward:

"In legal proceedings, “Jane Doe” is a placeholder name protecting an individual’s identity in cases involving privacy and safety concerns. It allows participation without revealing true names.

The “Jane Doe” designation safeguards privacy and safety in sensitive legal matters, such as cases of sexual assault or domestic violence. In such instances, revealing someone’s identity could result in harm or public scrutiny. This protective measure ensures individuals can seek justice without fear. The legal framework supporting this practice is rooted in the right to privacy, as seen in precedents like Roe v. Wade, which emphasized balancing public knowledge with individual privacy."

I agree that NOTHING should be released. He's a mad man and everyone and anyone could be in danger . We don't need any more details . When the right time comes they will be released. MO

TD’s ex is young. She can have a life, but she can’t even plan to, not knowing where he is. She needs full protection IMHO. Poor woman, my heart goes out to her.

BBM- confused as to which disorder they are trying to refer to?

“Bipolar Personality Disorder” doesn’t exist. Bipolar isn’t even a personality disorder, it’s a mood disorder; it’s either Bipolar disorder (shortened to BP) or Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)

Silly mistake to make by MSN, I wonder which one they mean he shows clear signs of. I’ve seen extreme cases of both leading to murder.

I really hope they find this 🤬🤬🤬🤬 soon, and alive! This poor mother needs a bit of her peace back, at least the part where she’s not living in terror of if/when she’ll be next. And she deserves answers as to why the hell this monster would do this (not that any reason will ever be good enough)

Between the two, I’d lean towards bipolar. But, we don’t know. However, whatever it is, smoking high-potency marijuana in his car did not help at all.

I just spent a few days in the Wenatchee River off Icicle Road and in Icicle Creek. The water is really low now (as it usually is at this point in the summer). I feel like if there was anything in that water, it would have washed up by now and be visible to water search teams.
Thank you Sasha, local insight is very helpful.

And sadly, if he is not found, she will always be looking over her shoulder for the rest of her life.

So, where is he? Not that answers are expected, but is he walking among the population?

If she can, she should move from the area, from the state, go across country, start using another part of her name. Make it as difficult as possible to find her.

Decker's use of marijuana
Marijuana is an extremely well-known trigger of psychosis and mania, especially in young adults (and deteriorating mental health in general, though the effect works both ways, obviously). If we have a young man with increasingly irresposible marijuana use paralleled with increasingly unstable mental health, I feel even greater likelihood that Travis eventually had an episode of some sort more than being the "bad evil ex mastermind". Factually I see the lack of a typical escalating abuse pattern and the existance of not one but several known medical triggers (war, cannabis use, big stressors in private life).

The world is not split into good people and Death Eaters.

I am not ruling out yet that it was planned and evil and purposeful and manipulative and that he is another Brian Laundrie. And that he is alive and hiding and probably coming after his ex one day.

However, at this point I feel it's notably more likely it was combination of desperation and a serious mental health crisis and that his body will be found one day, somewhere in a days walking radius from the girls.

Good advice. I am concerned for the safety of her extended family and even his own family as well.

I think that’s absolutely what is going to happen with the help of law enforcement.

That’s why I included the link about Susan Little and her children, showing that it’s been done before.

I think it’s more common of a practice than we are aware of.

It was MH crisis no doubt.
But, he killed three children. He is unpredictable. Maybe he needs to stay in a MH facility all his life. He had the option - took his meds - and then stopped.

About marijuana. I was the first to vote for legalizing it in WA and I believe it has place in medicine. However, quality control over the product is necessary. It is not that old “make love, not war” plant. It is genetically engineered and grown to maximize THC content stuff. JMO.

A recent article aprapos to this discussion about possible MJ effects on the brain (e.g. psychosis) , especially with underlying mental illness.
