I run the Facebook page for Diane Gilchrist. And I agree with you. I think Warren Forrest had a lot more victims than we know of or even suspected. Possibly he began killing in the late 1960’s. I’ve been amassing info on Forrest since last year.

I have been researching a Jane Doe case in NY for many years and I very strongly believe that it is Diane. This Jane Doe was featured on America’s Most Wanted 3 times. I have contacted Namus for Washington State/NY State, NEMEC (I spoken with an amazing woman for about 15-20 minutes) and I have just heard back from forensic anthropologist Dr.Angela Soler who was featured on news segments re Jane Doe. I will keep everyone posted, bumping for Diane

Currently, the CCSO Cold Case Team is currently investigating the murder of Carol Valenzuela, whose remains were discovered alongside those of Martha Morrison, who Forrest was convicted of killing in February 2023.

“I’m fairly convinced that if we put all of the evidence in front of the jury today, that they would find him guilty with just what we have,” CCSO Cold Case investigator Doug Maas said. “But the other thing that’s running parallel to this is we discovered that we still have a significant amount of trace evidence, which is primarily hairs and fibers and nail clippings that we seized from his van in 1976.”

The remains of Carol Valenzuela and Martha Morrison were found in eastern Clark County, within Dole Valley woodlands. Both women disappeared during an 11-week period between Forrest’s murder of Krista Blake and his attempted murder of a woman who escaped from Lacamas Lake Park, a CCSO news release stated.

''Investigators are focusing on Warren Forrest as a suspect in the 1974 murder of Carol Valenzuela. Forrest is currently in prison for killing two other women.''

Thomas Shults April 22, 2025 Lengthy article. rbbm.
''CLARK COUNTY, Wash. — For years, Clark County detectives have linked a convicted murderer to the deaths of several more women, for which he’s never been charged.
Since 1979, Warren Forrest has lived behind bars after being convicted of killing 20-year-old Krista Blake. Then, in 2023, he was found guilty of killing a woman named Martha Morrison after DNA evidence linked him to the 1974 murder.''

"Over a number of years, bodies started showing up around Clark County," Clark County cold case investigator Doug Maas said. "I guess there's no delicate way of putting this. He's just one of the most cold, stone-cold, sociopathic personalities."
Maas has investigated these disappearances for decades. He’s long believed Forrest is tied to the deaths or disappearances of Jamie Grissim, Barbara Derry, Diane Gilchrist, Gloria Knudson and Carol Valenzuela. He has not been charged in any of their deaths or disappearances.
"Forrest shows up in town in early 1971,” Maas said. “And this series of disappearances and homicides end on the day that he's arrested."

'Barbara Derr (top right), Gloria Knutson (top left), Diane Gilchrist, (bottom right), and Carol Valenzuela (bottom left) are four of the women suspected to have been killed by Warren Forrest.

According to a spokesperson with the sheriff's office, Warren Forrest has admitted to "starting offenses as early as 1969 and admits offending in four different jurisdictions." A blue van was used in at least some of the crimes.'

''Warren Forrest is one of the most notorious serial killers in Washington state history. To date, the Clark County Sheriff's Office believes they've connected the deaths of seven women to Forrest."In general there’s an M-O of similarities, there’s some circumstantial evidence that we are linking to some of these cases," said Fred Neiman, who works on the sheriff's office cold case unit. "Others are more concrete and more just based on timeline, locations, and other similarities.”Forrest has only been convicted of two of those killings.Neiman said 16-year-old Jamie Grissim could have been his first victim. She was attending Fort Vancouver High School when she went missing in the early 70s.The search for Jamie continues. Neiman tells me they have plans in the coming months to search the Dole Valley area again for her remains. You can watch the full interview with Detective Neiman here, and the full report on Forrest and the search for Grissim on KATU News.''
