The men are believed to be in the Ellensburg area, Trenary said. He added that John Reed’s vehicle was found in Ellensburg on Saturday. He said both brothers are felons and should be considered armed and dangerous.

I can't imagine why they would still be in the Ellensburg area after all this time. Who knows how long the vehicle has been there? Thanks to alert neighbors, the search for the victims started quickly. Otherwise, the Reeds would have an even bigger head start. I wonder what their felonies were about.

I read on SM earlier that the road the vehicles had been dumped from had a surveillance camera owned by a resident. Perhaps this was the footage the article refers to.

Detectives have confirmed that the Reed brothers are in possession of a red 2007 Volkswagen EOS Coupes, Washington plates AXH5106, a vehicle that belongs to their parents.


John Reed is 5’08”, 190 lbs. with hazel eyes and gray hair. Tony Reed is 5’11”, 150 lbs. with green eyes and gray hair.


Anyone with direct information on the whereabouts of John or Tony Reed, or with information about the investigation into the murder of Shunn and Patenaude, is asked to call 911 or the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office anonymous tipline at 425-388-3845.

Sadly, the outcome most of us were afraid of. Middle age and they are driving their parents' car in the commission of a double murder?? Nothing like involving their poor parents in the crime while they are at it! I suspected that there had to be two involved to dispose of 2 cars and finally some sort of camera was actually working and clear enough to catch them! If this was all done out in the boonies I wonder what camera picked them up? All for what...a dispute over...??

The areas they are believed to be in has multiple directions they could head.

Quite an articulate and dramatic reenactment. The article goes on to say that he knows his property value will suffer (2014), not that he was planning to sell but if he did it would be hard to sell. Did he walk away from the property? When caught, his "story" is likely to be quite "interesting" if it is anything like this video.

Found John Reed's former home. Left side of river. Not sure but the earth view of the area outlined adjacent to Reed's home appears to look similar to the couple's home I have seen in bird's eye shots in the news. South and west of Reed's.

Yep.......two perps involved, plus they are seen driving the victims vehicles to the place the cars were dumped.

This is going to be the same trouble-making neighbor Shunn's brother has been talking about.

Reed may have taken Monique as a hostage at his house in order to lure Pat Shunn there after he got home from work. I figured they may have been killed right there in their own home, but it appears the suspect did it under his own roof instead, or I should say, the location he was squatting at.

They are going to have to bring in cadaver dogs in order to find this missing couple. This entire event was obviously pre-meditated, meaning disposing of them was planned out as well. The suspects knew how and when they were going to kill them, where they were going to bury them, and where they were going to hide their cars.

There is lots of wooded grassland around there, it's going to be hard to try and identify a burial spot. Let the dogs have the first shot at it.
Let's just hope they didn't decide to put them in a burn barrel.

I hope the suspects put up a fight and get gunned down like the rabid dogs they are.

Why though? How do these dudes think they could get away with it? I don't get this line of thinking, is it revenge on them for taking legal action? Saving face with murderous bravado? How do you take off in your parents car? This suspect was formerly married with children. Ugh, I just don't get what makes these losers tick!
