"Someone" was probably walking around the block.

Here ya go Knox..It's around 1:30 mark..LE does NOT say "suspects" but my impression is they may? have been onto one or more ppl..IDK but then why just up & quit? Makes NO sense!

I don't think my logic is childlike at all - FACT IS - LE have not come out and said any one person has been cleared AND we have not used names, just initials associated in places LE have named. Sorry C, but I don't consider you to be the sleuthing police, so if you want to get a mod to come on board and have them wipe out this thread - be my guest!

I really hope the LE are aware all of the websleuth posts. There really are a lot of people on here, doing a lot of smart investigating. It is truly like the LE have so many extra hands helping here. I just wish the LE would in turn give us more information to work with so we could do an even better job helping. It is frustrating. Time, of course, is of the essence. The people of the LC Valley are so willing to do anything to help find Rachael. Knowledge is power.

I didn't say your logic was childlike. It seems more like trying to work around the rules with a wink and a nod. Everyone on this thread knows who the person is, and his initials were confirmed by a poster here who appears to be close to the situation (well, closer than most of us anyway).

Edit: you're right. I think it needs to be clarified. That would certainly make it easier on some of us.

I absolutely agree with you, I wish they would help US somehow help THEM, it is very frustrating and yes time is of the essence. Those I talk to in the valley are frustrated at the lack of news and the lack of knowledge that is really out there. I am curious as to what will go down tomorrow once the FBI is involved!! Anyone have any ideas what that will mean/bring to the investigation?

I wish this was getting more media attention and don't understand why it's not, even on a local level. I'm wondering if the searches are being held back because no one is sure where to search; WA, ID, OR? All people can really do is keep their eyes open and post fliers. This is so frustrating!

I simply pointed out what has been stated repeatedly by mods (and tricia) regarding "sleuthing" of persons not named POI or suspects; I've never read it to mean we can "sleuth" anyone we wish until they're cleared by the police. That makes no sense, as there are thousands in that area who haven't been cleared and never will be. If those rules don't apply here, then ok. It would certainly make it easier for most of us here if they were applied consistently.

C..I honestly can't remember not sleuthing ppl with a def connection to the victim..Especially a spouse or an X who we all know are the first ones LE looks at as the possible perp..When it comes to sleuthing 'minors' most know that's a def 'no-no' with no exceptions.

My two cents and then back to the case, as I feel this is distracting.
We have done a very good job of keeping the sleuthing clean in this thread. No one reading here would know what we are speaking of without looking at public records. Salem nudged me for posting a comment from Facebook rather than linking to it (I blew it on that one), everything else we said appeared to be fine.

Probably not the specifics you had in mind, but may answer some general questions. In my mind I think there is some sort of indication Rachael was taken across state lines, also Local LE can ask for help from the FBI at anytime the federal criteria is met. Another thought, perhaps something was uncovered in the process of the investigation that the FBI needs to be involved in; Theorizing here not being specific, something like interstate business/insurance fraud, smuggling, chop-shop etc. All MOO!
