On Sunday night, Rachel’s mother confirmed that search-and-rescue teams did not locate her daughter during the search on Sunday. “No Rachel. No more SAR (search and rescue) teams. No words,” she stated. The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office has not confirmed if search and rescue operations have been suspended indefinitely.

Ah, that's so sad that a SAR member was badly injured.

This case is very sad.

March 3, 2020 Update on Rachel:
Search efforts will not be able to begin again until the snow pack starts to melt. It is believed she is still on the mountain and that is where search efforts will be focused. Thank you for following and for those who have been asking about updates!

I'm sure the mountain is still snow covered, then in the warmer months you have lush green ground cover to contend with. Such a difficult task to recover remains. I don't wish this upon anyone but hopefully a hiker comes across her this summer.

July 1, 2020 FB page update (RSBM)
It will most likely be the first of August before actual searches can take place, especially around the boulder field. Jamie has been told by the Sheriff's dept. that at that time searching will resume with a helicopter and if and only if the helicopter locates something a full blown search will continue.

If she fell from a high elevation they'll probably have to use drones to search downfield as it wouldn't be safe for SAR search. I hope she is brought home.

No news it seems.

I’m aware of a last big push for a private search before the snow comes in for Rachel. The search will include a HRD dog. I wish them all well.

Bumping for Rachel. So sad that no trace of her has been found despite so many searches.

At the Find Rachel Lakoduk page, they mentioned a search that happened over Labor Day weekend. The have started a fund raising page (you know where) entitled, "Rachel Lakoduk Missing Hiker Search and Rescue," which contains more details of future searching. I sure hope they can find her before the snow makes searching impossible this year.

October and it looks like no promising news... I hope Rachel finds peace wherever she may be.

It’s Rachel’s birthday today...
1 year ago today, she went up the mountain for a great adventure to celebrate her birthday. 1 year ago today, she set out on a solo expedition that turned into such a heartbreaking tragedy. 1 year ago today, we had no idea she was lost and we would never see her again.
It’s been 1 year and that’s hard to believe. For those who love you Rachel, the pain is still very real and 1 year’s time has had no affect on that.
To Rachel’s family and closest friends, many prayer’s are still continuously said for your healing and peace. To Rachel, we long for you to be found.
You are a ray of sunshine in my memory Rachel
