Rex O'Cain was last seen inside his apartment in the 400 block of Edgewood Court in Castle Rock, Washington on November 11, 2001. He may have left his residence as a passenger in an unidentified dark-colored vehicle shortly afterwards. He has never been heard from again. His family members reported him as a missing person on November 14, three days after he disappeared.

His relatives describe him as a very naive, trusting man. He has a mild mental disability. They stated he does not drive. He has brown hair and blue eyes, and is 5'11" and 140 pounds. He may have a mustache, beard or a goatee. Some agencies give his eye color as brown. He has a tattoo on his upper right arm in the shape of an inverted Y. His teeth are missing and he's supposed to wear dentures, but those were left behind.

A search of southwest Washington and northwest Oregon produced no clues as to his whereabouts. His case remains unsolved.

Just 35 minutes south of Castle Rock, an unidentified body (still to this day) was found hanging from a tree in Ridgefield, Washington only 2 months after Rex went missing.

(NamUs misspelled Ridgefield as Ridgefiled, but here's the link to the unidentified person: The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs))

I would hope they'd have checked to see whether this was Rex or not.
