Looks like Redmond police are now searching a nearby bus station in Redmond. Don't have much info on this other than that. It's in this news video link:
http://www.kirotv.com/news/news/bellevue-police-search-missing-2-year-old/nFXM6/

Is this just routine or are they looking at possible kidnap scenarios? Could the mother have disposed of evidence there? Anyone have info on which bus station this is?

Also, is that possibly the mom's car in the earlier video footage -- sandwiched between the police cars?

I share all your questions. I hope it goes somewhere.

I may have misunderstood...Why did mom/dad leave Sky in the car by himself..TWICE, But never the daughter? Color me confused.

Yep... Maddening, isn't it?

It really is maddening. How hard is it to carry a 3 month old around a store? I don't understand the thought process that comes to the conclusion that a 3 month old baby should be left in a cold car in the middle of winter, instead of just being carried or pushed around in a cart?
This story makes me even more suspicious that something bad happened BEFORE she ran out of gas.

Reading about this case brought back a memory - well, not a memory b/c I was too young but a story from my childhood: my mother was driving my older brother to preschool and ran out of gas. She walked home in her housecoat, holding his hand, carrying me on her hip, and 7 months pregnant with my little brother. THAT'S what mothers do. :heartbeat:

I have heard of weird and sad cases where a mother loves one child, and for whatever reason, never bonds with the other. We have seen that in many abuse cases, where only one of the kids is truly abused and battered, for example. Also, some mothers love their daughters, as little mini-mes', but reject their sons because they hate the ex husbands. imoo

I looked at the clip. This is ADJACENT to the apartments I posted.

We simply just don't know at this point. We are all confused with you!

And also, the domestic incident supposedly stemmed from the fact that mom allowed son to sleep in... I don't know how this fits - just noting this in case pieces of a puzzle start coming together.

I'm not buying her story about that domestic incident.

Yes it looks to literally be a bus stop and parking lot (aka somewhere to park the LE vehicles) right across the street from the apartment building.

You're right. You can see those exact apartments in the video clip. Guess that's leaning more towards JB, then.

First, I think the story is BS.

Second, I think that if I'm wrong and it's not BS, it's incredibly irresponsible to leave your 2 year old by the side of the road like that.

Third, I listened to the audios on the mom's blog. I caution anyone who wants to make judgements about her based on these. It is statistically very rare for mothers to make false allegations of abuse in custody cases. However, stranger abductions are even more statistically unlikely. So in this case, I guess anything is possible.

I'd be really interested to know when the last time anyone besides the mother saw Sky.

Biryukova and Metalwala were previously cited for reckless endangerment and leaving a child unattended in a vehicle in December 2009 in Redmond, according to King County District Court records. The couple left Sky, then 3 months old, in their Cadillac sport-utility vehicle in a Target parking lot on a 27-degree day. A shopper who heard the baby crying called police, and a responding officer reported that the car felt cold.

Maybe instead of buying a $50-80K Escalade, they could have hired a nanny.

She filed something in March, 2010 that said that Sky was 4 months old at the time so I am guessing he was born around Nov, 2009 and it looks like he was the infant left alone in the car in Dec. 2009.

They were actually referring to Sky being 4 months old at the time of the incident, not the time of the filing. (Though that is incorrect either way.)

In June 2010, Biryukova, 30, filed for a protection order on behalf of herself and their two children, saying Solomon had a severe anger problem, was verbally abusive and that he had beat her for the first time the previous Christmas.
The reason was that she had allowed Sky - just 4 months old at the time - to sleep later than expected, she said.

This would mean that the domestic incident occurred in December 2009.
The same month they were cited for leaving the baby in the car alone.

Though, Sky was actually almost 3 months old that Christmas.

Do you happen to have a source for the statistics on false allegations?

Been thinking over this incredibly half-baked story given by the mother. No way - it doesn't fit. Nothing sounds feasible. I wonder if LE impounded that car, stating the reason was it was a crime scene. Surely, if by some miracle that little guy undid his seatbelt, and opened the car door by himself, there would only be his prints covering those who left prints before him? Then, keeping in mind he would not only have to open the car door, but close it after he got out...so his handprints would be on the outside of the car door, where he would have to push with his hands to close it. Also, must assume that this child chose to exit the car on the side away from all the cars passing by, to avoid being run over and to avoid being seen by possible rescuers. Then, freed, he went ????.
How can anybody believe this. Anyone who stopped to remove that child from that parked car, in broad daylight, in full view of everyone else, then place the child in his/her car and calmly leave would be nutsy gutsy. Was the child drugged, going willingly with a stranger, and making no scene?
Little guy, I hope that you are safe somewhere, and found quickly. Hoping for a miracle.

:praying:

It's not much, but this article has a touch more info on that police command center. Looks like the focus of the investigation has definitely changed focal points from Bellevue to Redmond.
