I can't reconcile it either, Wenwe. I'd really like to know what Julia is up to these days. Is she hiding out with a relative, or friend? What is she doing with her time? Does she think of Sky or M? With what we know of her mental health issues and the amount of stress over all this I would think she would have no choice but to get help. Maybe she's on heavy meds. I'd like to think LE has some idea, seems they claim to know where she is. I hope they are watching her every move hoping she tips them as to Sky's whereabouts.

We're here for you Sky. We're worrying about you, looking for you, loving you--you have a whole community of momma's that do love you!

Respectfully snipped. I would love to know what she's up to as well. I thought for sure we would hear from in her in some fashion by now, due to her mental issues and lack of control over the situation, lack of control over M, etc.

Sometimes I wonder if LE just gives up on these cases. I guess that's an ignorant assumption. They probably have a dedicated team still strategizing and working to figure this out, but it's so silent and if they have exhausted every lead, what more can they do?

What I would like to see is organized volunteer searches, at least every month, in various locations. I know it's like finding a needle in a haystack, JUlia had so much time to dump a body undetected and thus they have no clue where to begin looking. I think it was already too long, when he was reported missing, to backtrack and figure out where she might have been, to narrow the search.

But to do nothing when a baby is still out there? Doesn't he deserve at least some attention?

Also, I think regular searches would unnerve Julia and may prompt her to do something, like check and recheck wherever she tossed him.

They could announce the need for volunteers in a flashy press conference. Then set up a search and publicize it highly, with the repeated statement, at every search, "We will never give up until he's found." That may rattle the already unstable Julia.

And if they concentrate on areas close to where she lived, because kids are usually found less than a mile from their mother's home when the mother is the killer, they just might hit pay dirt. They might actually find him. Surely there are volunteers who would be willing to help?

Something has to be done in this case and others like it. Some action of some sort. I'd rather have my tax dollars got to finding missing babies than many things our taxes are spent on.

Sigh, so many lies in those profiles. Here, let me do a reality rewrite on them. How's this?

"Manipulative, pathological liar who with hobbies like vacuuming, arranging things perfectly, and forcing other's to live up to my unreal and delusional standards.

Former mother of 2 children, one who I refuse to tell anyone where he is and the other in permanent custody of her father because I refused to show up in court after my manipulative attempts to frame him and blame him failed.

I enjoy dodging the truth, avoiding answering questions and arranging beds perfectly."

There! That looks better. I'd like it to end with "currently incarcerated in a women's prison" but maybe that update will come soon.

Finally an article! Unfortunately, it is lacking in any real news. I can't believe it has been 6 months. Where are you Sky?

Also in the article:
The event, dubbed “A Night for Sky” at Heritage Park in Kirkland will run Sunday from 8-9pm and include worship, prayer, a sharing of scriptures, and ideas on how to revitalize the search for Sky.

Sky Crew I will be thinking, praying, and hoping for Sky on Sunday night. I wish that I could attend the Night for Sky; but I will do my own Night for Sky here in Utah.

Dear Sky Crew,

I will definitely be at the "A Night for Sky" on Sunday. I wouldn't miss it for anything. Should I carry a "Sky Crew" poster? :) Any other Websleuther's going to be there?

I'm so glad to see some activity on this case in the media. What's more, I have word from Carla Iafrate, Bellevue Police Department. I couldn't stand another day of wondering what was happening on this case so I wrote to them a couple of days ago. And while I didn't get an update, I got Carla's assurance this is still a very active case.

Here is what I wrote:

"Dear Bellevue Police Department:

Would it be possible to get an update on the Sky Metalwala case? If not an update, some reassurance this case is still actively being investigated?

I participate in an on-line community of citizens concerned about this young child (Websleuths.com). In fact, one of our participants recently sent your Department a number of potential leads that came from a review our Sky Metalwala threads (discussions) about the case. We are currently on Thread #18--there's been a lot of discussion!

I realize you probably can't give any, or much information, but I thought it was worth a try to inquire. Sky is on our minds daily. It is difficult to go so long without hearing any updates from your Department.

Thank you for the work you are doing."

Here is what I got back:

"Thank you for your email and your concern for missing Sky Metalwala. Detectives are working this still very active open missing child case. At this time there are no reportable updates on the case to share with the public or media. We all hope for his safe return.

Best Regards,

Officer Carla Iafrate, P-335
Bellevue Police Department"

Interesting how she said, "no REPORTABLE updates." Maybe there are updates that simply can't be shared in order to maintain the integrity of the case.

I have hope today, Sky Crew! And dear Sky, one more day closer to finding you precious boy!

:praying:

I am sorry that I have been gone for a while -- life took over. But, I'm here now, sending prayers for Sky. I am hopeful, after LE's response to ChelaCat, that they are still actively working on little man's case and that they have information that is brewing behind the scenes. I suspect things were found out at Watershed Park and that they are putting together a case against JB, likely working closely with those who used to be close to her (and may still be feigning allegiance to her in the interest of bringing Sky home). If I were Julia, I'd watch out. The walls are closing in....
