Good night Handsome...

This just brings to light how difficult (and expensive) it would be for Bellevue LE to search the landfill, given that they don't have an exact date JB might have disposed of Sky (if, indeed, that's what happened). In the below case, LE had a date of when the infant's "mother" was seen near a dumpster and could search the landfill based on that info.

After two months of searching, investigators may have found the body of 7-month-old Torrey Brown at Denver's Arapahoe landfill, CBS Denver reports....For over 50 days, 500 people from 26 agencies and community organizations across the nation assisted the search. Working in 12-hour shifts at a cost of approximately $10,000 per day, crews sorted through 9,900 tons of waste, over one million square feet, before finding the remains, CBS Denver reports.

It sickens me that Sky might be in a landfill and, at this time, it's unlikely LE will search for him because JB was so adept at keeping herself and the children isolated. If someone -- anyone -- had been allowed into their lives, we would be able to pinpoint when Sky actually went missing. I pray that day will come and that a search for him can resume. I hate to think this way, but it's what I'm left with, given what we know.

I still hope that miracle can happen and Sky is alive.
I hope she gives him to some friends or family to punish S.
I can't believe or find any excuse for her as illness. She is healthy to date!?

Sky baby where are you???

I wonder if cadavar dogs could differentiate between human remains and rotting garbage at the landfill?

I feel that since watching the Casey Anthony trial I have enough knowledge to say that cadaver dogs can distinguish between a dead body and rotting "pizza" :floorlaugh:

I'm pretty sure that wasted a whole day of testimony!

The whole mess makes me sick to my stomache. They need to sit her 🤬🤬🤬 down and interrogate her until she cracks. Shouldn't be hard given her mental health issues and OCD.

Sky baby, WE love you and won't stop searching until we find you. One day closer.

It's not that easy. People cannot be forced to submit to interrogations, due to the 5th amendment to the constitution.

Does anyone here think that the general public (not WSers) know Sky is still missing? Are the posters still up around town? It was national news when he first was reported missing. I remember I heard about it first on CNN. What happened? How can your average Joe, hear about a baby going poof, and not wonder months later about him? I am not saying people are callous, just are we really that desensitized as a nation? Or is all the other horrible news we hear too overwhelming? I just can't understand why the country isn't clamoring for an answer. I just want justice for Sky. And his daddy. And his sister. How can we get the country interested again?? Contact the media? Tweet Nancy? Do you think that would help?

I definitely think the public has forgotten. Whenever I mention the case, people say "oh, I thought they found him since I hadn't heard anything new." People want to believe the world is fundamentally good and it's hard to stomach that a woman who spent nine months pregnant and goodness knows how many hours in labor could do away with her own child only 2 years later and then lie about it for months. I think contacting the media and Nancy would help. I did that a while back and it generated some new interest in the case -- which has, sadly, since faded.

We're here for you, Sky!!

It's so sad, but I think you are right, Rougelatete. I would love to start a media blitz for little Sky, to reinvigorate the investigation and to send the message that we are not going away. How do I go about this? I am more than willing to do the work from here in Chicago, sending emails and utilizing social media. But, I would need some tips on how to get started... Any suggestions?

P.S. I was here very late last night (dang insomnia rears its ugly head again) and, besides myself, there was one unnamed "guest". I wanted so badly to post a note directly to Julia on the off chance it was her! :blushing:

I am hundreds of miles away from where Sky disappeared but today I went out and searched 75% of my whole property (a little over an acre and a half) thinking about finding Sky. I was wishing that all property owners and business owners in the greater Seattle area would do the same, as well as Portland area for Kyron. I only found a few pieces of garbage and a stray homework assignment (or two) from children @ the nearby bus stop (I presume), along with tons of carpenter ants. I did find a very heavy piece of bone (about 4" long) that looked strange since it had a groove like where a tendon would fit. It looked larger than a pork or beef rib bone but it had been cut straight across and I assumed it was just a bone that a dog buried long ago. It was yellowed in color and much heavier than any rib bones that I have ever seen, but I tossed it in a special place - thinking people would think I am crazy calling about a dog bone. Guess that is why I went on a search of the property - trying to see if I could find anything else. Maybe I read here just a tad too much?

I was thinking about sky this evening while I was stopped at Target for Allegra-D and kitty litter. I had Mr Whiskers :cat: with me, soi didn't want to stop, but I knew that if I didn't have my allergy medicine tonight my eyes would be a disaster in the morning because I sleep with my windows open (no a.c.). I asked the Customer Service people if I could bring him (in his carrier) in the store...but they said not. :( I felt like I needed the medicine and definitely the litter anyway, so I ran in while Mr Whiskers waited in the car. The whole trip took maybe 10 minutes. But I was thinking about my lonely little guy the whole time and it seemed a lot longer. It made me think of poor Sky stuck in the car by himself for a lot longer than 10'.

As much as I agree with this (100%), it's very sad because I know that our forefathers didn't have in mind that you could kill your baby, dispose of them, and refuse to talk to cover your butt! Sickens me! There should be an exception when it comes to the life of an innocent child - one who believes that his mom was there to love and protect him not dispose of him when she grew tired of him. :banghead:

I live about an hour-ish from Seattle (depending on mode of transportation) and talk to a lot of people over here about the case and NO ONE has heard of Sky. I've never seen a poster either.

How does the media choose which child to continuously cover? Why can't other children (like Juliette in my signature) receive coverage? I've tweeted Nancy and numerous others about Juliette and nothing...not even a simple re-tweet. I've tweeted about Sky and nothing. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

You could try contacting some of the local reporters who were initially covering Sky's case (if you google articles from the early days in the investigation, several regular reporters/media outlets will show up). You can then send them an email asking them to get a statement from LE about how the investigation is progressing (or not) and try to get Sky's name out there again in the news. I guess it's worth a shot. You could also ask Nancy to try and contact JB; she might like that angle. Thanks in advance for any way you're able to help!

I've tweeted the local channels and only one responded regarding Sky. They said as soon as LE has further information, they will do a new story. They did tweet about the 6 month vigil for Sky and of course that put his face back in the publics eye, but only for a short while.

Sky Crew-

I found something in my daily search for news on Sky. Maybe you were aware of it, but it was news to me. There is a Senate Bill in Washington, "SB 6511 - 2011-12 concerning court procedures for review of petitions for protection orders." This bill is commonly referred to as the Sky Metalwala bill. You can find more information here, http://apps.leg.wa.gov/billinfo/summary.aspx?year=2012&bill=6511.

Sky baby, one more day closer to finding you. We love you and won't stop looking until we find you.

Just stopping in to make sure Sky got a good dinner tonight, his tummy is full, he has had his bath and splashing with his rubber duck and squirt toys, he has comfy jammies on, got a story read to him, tucked into his nice warm bed, has his favorite blanket and stuffed toy to snuggle with, and all is right with the world. Sleep tight sweet boy, we love you and think of you often. Sky Crew remains ever hopeful for you little man. Such a precious child, your Daddy and Sister miss you every day. Please let JB remember that he needs so much more than she has given him, and she can at least bring him home to the ones that love him.

Rouge... I must have been reading your mind!

I was going to read through all the rest of the posts, then make a suggestion, but you beat me to it!

I, too, thought that NG, or another reporter, could play to JB's vanity and ask for an interview.

Maybe even put it in the light of: "How does a mother deal with life after a child goes missing?" (In other words... not accusatory.)

Maybe little pearls of information will fall out of JB's mouth? :waitasec:
