Per Johnson they haven't searched landfill and dumps but have set the trash aside for later. But Nancy said Johnson told her directly, to her face, that they searched the landfill and dumps? I don't believe much she says on this case.

I haven't heard anything regarding LE searching landfills. The only thing mentioned was her trash at the apartment.

That is how I remember it also and just want to make sure. I know last night Nancy asked Johnson if there were diapers in the trash and Johnson wouldn't reveal anything so Nancy took that as a NO.

Just trying to make sure I remember this correctly. Two hot cases at one time is making my thoughts spin. :crazy:

What scares me are the number and size of bodies of water in the area Sky went missing. If mom was smart enough to leave for the hospital that morning without her cell, who's to say she didn't dispose him without her cell phone either. And if she watched that episode of Law and Order SVU - which included a cooler (iirc) who's to say she did not dispose of him in water with something to weight a container down and keep it down?

I wonder if anyone asked big sister about Sky's illness. A description of his symptoms. When she last saw him before mommy was carrying him wrapped in a blanket. I sure hope she is some help to establish if he was alive and well the day prior to his disappearance. Even maybe by describing a child's program that LE can verify at what time and what episode aired.

The closest bodies of water that would have been easily accessible to JB are Lake Washington & Lake Sammamish. The next closest bodies of water are Lake Union and Puget Sound.

Unless someone has access to a boat, I don't think anyone could have disposed of evidence (i.e. Sky's alleged remains) in any of these bodies of water from the shoreline, since the shorelines of these bodies of water are relatively shallow, not to mention very developed & populated. Even with a boat, I would think that anything thrown into the water would have to be weighted down to prevent it from floating to the surface & being detected.

There are numerous rivers in the Western Washington region, but until information is released that places JB in the vicinity of any of them, I'm skeptical that she would have traveled to them.

There are many more easily accessible wooded areas that are in proximity to JB's last known areas of travel that should be searched, IMO.

Has LE searched Cougar Mountain Regional Wildlife Park?

ETA: I live in the area, which is why I'm asking this question about Cougar Mountain. Other locals will also understand why I'm asking, since Cougar Mountain is in proximity to Bellevue.

I do not believe it has been established that Sky was indeed left inside the vehicle. However, according to her statement to LE, she claims she left him there and he was taken from the car.

Whether or not she can be charged based upon her word alone is another matter. I understand the 4 y/o girl said he was in the car, however, she could have been told to say that, or not remember which day it was, and I also understand that her story has changed to "inconclusive" since she said that.

There has been disparate information in the press conferences and news articles. In the press conference 11/09 3:30 here is what Johnson said:

We have not done any searches at area landfills.

If we had leads that trash was going to be of significant evidenciary value we would take that route, we don't have that evidence.
In the interest of covering every aspect of this investigation, we have made some inquiries about where trash goes from JB's apt and we have made an effort to protect that, but at this point not an avenue we are pursuing.

In a round about way Johnson did say they were aware of the landfills and knew which areas would contain Julia's trash. I'm not sure if they searched or not, but he definitely said they had not searched. Maybe to protect the investigation??

Well that confirms they just visited the garbage transfer station and landfill in order to have them set aside the trash from Julia's apartment. That makes sense, but clearly they haven't gone through the trash and landfill yet.

Sorry just now having time to check in and seeing the hoax email for ransom For our little precious, Sky! My heart lept for half a millisecond reading Kat's post from 11:19am this morning first mentioning it.. Sadly due to what has thus far been seen of Sky's mom, JB it was her that immediately brought me to the realization this could not have been for real.. Sickened more to know someone is deriving their "kicks" from this beautiful baby boy, Sky's missing case..

Must definitely be something in the water these days as there was a similar situation in Taylor Van Diest case.. She was was extremely brutal slain on Halloween night just blocks from her home in a well traveled area already dressed In zombie costume.. LE got a letter yesterday from her supposed killer with further threats to continue brutally killing young females in the community!! Yes.. It is horrific!!!

And it certainly now seems as tho it's very likely to be a hoax letter.. Some moron sent it to actual LE agency handling Taylors case!! What morons!! IMO both sets of morons from both cases ignorant enough to engage in such behaviors will be very quickly outted and arrested!! Good riddance!!
