Found Deceased WA - Stanley Okumoto, 79, Silverdale, 18 Sept 2017

The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s help Tuesday in finding missing 79-year-old Stanley Okumoto of Silverdale.

A “silver alert” has been issued to help locate Okumoto, who was last seen at about 11 a.m. on Monday in the area of Huckle Drive and Nels Nelson Road in the Silverdale/Central Kitsap area, the sheriff’s office said.

He left his residence Monday morning in his green 2002 Ford Escort 4-door passenger car, with Washington license 535-ZRQ, on a short drive toward the Central Valley Road area. He has not been seen since, the sheriff’s office said, and he is without his required medications.

The sheriff’s office asks that you please call 9-1-1 if you see Okumoto or have any information on his whereabouts.

SILVERDALE — A car belonging to a 79-year-old man last seen Monday in Silverdale was found in remote western Clallam County on Tuesday night, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact authorities.

NEAH BAY, Wash. (AP) -- Authorities say human remains were found along a beach near Neah Bay in northwestern Washington.

The Clallam County Sheriff's Office says deputies were sent to investigate a report of a body on the beach Wednesday afternoon.

The sheriff's office says authorities are working to determine in the remains belong to 79-year-old Stanley Okumoto, who was reported missing in September by Kitsap County authorities. His car was found by authorities about a mile away from where the body washed ashore.

If they've ruled out foul play... I suspected this may have been suicide. Neah Bay may as well be the end of the world, it's a beautiful place. Hopefully he can find some peace.

His foot and part of leg washed up on Vancouver Island in December 2017 and were recently ID'd... Still no cause of death and it sounds like his case has been closed unresolved.
