Search launched for missing hiker in Olympic National Park

•5-feet-4-inches tall and weighing about 130lbs •short brown hair and hazel eyes
•last seen with a red backpack
•departed from the Rugged Ridge Trailhead east of Forks on Saturday morning.
•She intended to hike to Indian Pass then return to the trailhead later the same day, but she never returned.

Search underway for missing hiker outside of Forks | Peninsula Daily News

A multi-agency search is underway Monday for a missing hiker outside of Forks.

Teams from the Olympic National Park and Clallam County Search & Rescue are looking for Stephanie N Lincoln, 40, who reportedly failed to return from a day hike on the Rugged Ridge Trail on Saturday.

Lincoln’s intended destination was Indian Pass. She was set to return to the Rugged Ridge trailhead on U.S. National Forest Service land off the A Road, according to a news release from the National Park.

She may be wearing green pants and a white shirt or dark blue rain gear.

Her intended destination was Indian Pass. Her last known location was Rugged Ridge Trailhead located east of Forks off Sitkum-Solduc Road and NF-29 (also known as the A Road).

Hasty teams made up of park staff and Clallam County Search and Rescue searched Rugged Ridge Trail yesterday. Today, search teams in the field are made up of Olympic National Park staff, Clallam County Search and Rescue, volunteers with Olympic Mountain Rescue, Kitsap County Search Dogs, and Washington Conservation Corps trail crew. The National Park Service exclusive-use contract helicopter was also activated from North Cascades National Park to assist with the search.

Missing woman from First Coast found alive 2 days after failing to return from day hike in Washington state

Loved ones of Stephanie Lincoln counted on her Army training, exceptional fitness and experience as they waited and hoped for her safe return.

As of Monday evening, there were no details about her injuries but family and friends confirmed to First Coast News that she had been taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to recover.
