MAXIMUM SENTENCE--13 1/2 Years!!!!!!!!! Not enough, but as good as it could get.

Videos at links:

Nemetz will begin serving his sentence immediately and will be eligible for some time off for good behavior, but not for the 5 years added on for using a gun

Danielle's sister says that she does not accept his apology.

The sentence this 🤬🤬🤬 received is a disgrace to Danielle, her family and the justice system.

What a shame, ButtBoy cannot play Army anymore but, in no time he will make new friends and can play Twister and Tiddly Winks any time he wants.

Karma, she will be waiting patiently.

Godspeed Danielle

Yes, the sentence is upsetting. A jury is as good a system as possible, but imperfect. One of the jurors did meet with the family. Based on what he posted on the Justice page, he tried. I feel terrible for the family and for the jurors who had to compromise to get SN convicted of something, at least. Thankfully, the judge gave the maximum sentence. He was not fooled that it was an accident or taken in by Mom's self-serving monologue. There is no parole in WA, so SN will serve at least 11+ years. Not long enough, but I'm sure it will be very hard time. Mommy dearest won't be able to protect him.

I just saw the Dateline show tonight and I am convinced Skylar is guilty (and legally he is, even if just manslaughter).

I'm glad to read that I am not the only one here who developed an intense dislike of both Skylar and his mother. "Tactless witch" is tame compared what went through my mind as I watched the show.

I couldn't even watch it because I knew I'd want to throw something at the TV. Based on the previews, it seemed like the program was going to lean heavily in the mother's favor and basically be an attempt to drum up sympathy for Skylar and his odious mother. I also have an intense dislike for both of them and feel that in no way was this an accident. Why on earth did he point a gun at the back of her head unless he intended to shoot her? Why didn't he point it at the floor? He's a narcissistic, spoiled, entitled brat who's been coddled by his equally narcissistic mother.

I don't think I can stand to watch. Just reading what his mother writes is bad enough. I don't want to watch and listen to her spin this as an accident and call Danielle her "daughter" on network TV. I just can't.

Just saw this case on Dateline last night. I don't agree with the sentencing. There was plenty of evidence beyond his buddy that this guy was controlling and abusive to her. He married a little 16-year-old he thought he could control. He isolated her from her friends and threw out her cell phone. I also think he knew exactly what he was doing, even if he drank. He's also a mama's boy!
Oh, and the footage in the squad car where he swore, was all an act because he was told the cameras were on!!!

I have just watched a programme on this.

I haven't read this thread however based on the program I completely believe he is guilty.

I am so annoyed that they are painting Skylar as a soldier. He was just training, he had not been in combat.

That boy killed his wife and it makes me feel sick.

And in September 2018 another soldier at JBLM “playing” with his gun. This time he “only” wounded his girlfriend.

TACOMA, Wash. — Prosecutors say a Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier playing with his pistol shot and wounded his girlfriend in Lakewood.

Pierce County prosecutors say the 21-year-old man was charged Thursday with one count of assault and was released on his own recognizance with orders to live on base.
