Seattle police are asking for help finding a 23-year-old woman who has been missing since Monday.

Tong Zhang was last seen in the University District, police said.

She is 5-foot-3 and weighs about 110 pounds, and was last seen wearing a green sweatshirt and black pants.

Call 911 if you see her.

There was no further information immediately available.

Police say a 23-year-old woman has been missing from the University District since Monday and that they need the public's help in finding her.

She may be in crisis, a police spokesman said.

Ugh I live in this neighborhood. Especially down near 42nd and 43rd there are problems with crime, regular break ins, and assaults on the street and in houses. The neighborhood is a hub for homeless social services that often attracts some bad people to the neighborhood. I'm a 23 year old girl of the same height and weight as Tong and while it's a very populated area with a huge college, I wouldn't be out walking around after dark in the U District if I had the choice. I have many horror stories about being followed/shouted at/groped when out alone after dark. I hope she's found safe.

I went to UW and still get campus alert emails about things like this, I'll post them if I receive one.
