Find Vincent Djie

Sept 3 Post

Hey, everyone. We are asking for help from experienced hikers in the search for Vincent.
A Special Use Permit has been approved to conduct a canine search. The JFF team will arrive here on 20th of Sep (Sunday) and will conduct a search on Sep 21-25 (Monday-Friday). The JFF team will bring a total of 8 Canines.

They need 4-6 flankers (who monitor the dog handler when the dog handler is in action looking for Vincent) from Sep 21-25. They will be provided rooms and meals in Eatonville. Note that if you can't join the whole 5 days of search (21-25 Sept) you can join for part of it, just let us know ahead of time which days you can participate.

Every morning there will be a briefing from a Search Manager named Colette who is a retired National Park Service elsewhere. Every morning there will be given a briefing about the search plan for that day.

If anyone is interested in helping to become flankers, the absolute condition is that they must be physically fit. Flankers monitor the dog handlers off trail. We recommend that those who are willing to become flankers are also experienced hikers.
