A desperate father seeks assistance from the community to locate his daughter, missing since her last sighting in Ballard.

The 28-year-old was last seen early in the morning on Saturday, Feb. 28, according to her father. Yobie Benjamin said Violet left the apartment she shared with her boyfriend sometime overnight.

Violet Benjamin is considered a vulnerable adult and suffers from mental illness. She’s about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a slim build, brown hair, and brown eyes with several tattoos.

Violet Benjamin doesn’t have her phone, money, or medication she needs to take.

Clothing believed to belong to her was discovered near the docks close to the Ballard PCC about a day after she went missing.

“Her pants, her shirt — that’s her sports bra,” Yobie Benjamin said while showing photos of the items. “Her underwear was with this.”

The clothes were found wet.

A neighbor captured video of Benjamin around 3 a.m. March 1, showing her walking normally and not appearing disoriented, according to information shared by her family.

On March 3, a neighbor from Dovetail Contractors found Benjamin’s driver’s license in a parking lot at 1143 NW 45th St., near the PCC in Ballard where she had previously worked.

Later on March 4, a man reported finding clothing believed to belong to Benjamin behind the docks at the Ballard boat ramp near the marina behind PCC. The clothing was described as wet and appeared to be what she had been wearing.

I recognized her Dad's name immediately (my late father in law was well known in the robotics field). He has started a website with timelines and all the information available so far on her case. I'm not sure if I can link it but if you search her name, you can find his post on Reddit with links to the website and LE contact information.

Wow. Find Violet Benjamin — Missing Person — Ballard, Seattle, WA This website is really amazing. It lays out all the necessary info very clearly, and gives action items for anyone who wants to help.

I wonder if someday, when Violet is hopefully home safe, there is a way to share this website as a template for other loved ones of missing people to use. Most people wouldn’t have the technical know-how or even the organizational savvy, but I could see this being a big help.
