When he eventually did set it up, police came round a week or so later. He said he had never fired the new crossbow. He didn’t use it because there had been a murder in the days before he received it.

1h

The interviews have turned to the subject of Whall’s white Land Rover.

1h

He said he had arrived home in his partner’s Mercedes car after picking kids up from school. Minutes later police knocked on the door to enquire about the missing Land Rover. The vehicle had 2 keys that were kept on a rack in the kitchen.

1h

Whall said he took the car seats out of the Land Rover the night before and could’ve forgot to lock it.

1h

Whall and his partner went to the dentist in the Mercedes the next morning and hasn’t noticed the Land Rover missing at that point. He said he couldn’t say whether it was there or not.

He said the two sets of Land Rover keys would’ve been in the house while they were out. They went shopping after the dentist.

1h

Whall’s partner dropped him off at Gavin Jones’ house for a little while in the afternoon. He went with Gavin to the Vodaphone shop to cancel his SIM card.

1h

Gavin jones had been to the Vodafone shop in Bangor earlier that day trying to sort his phone out. Whall went back with him just before 3pm.

1h

Whall said he locked the front door of the house before they went to the dentist. He didn’t notice anything amiss when they returned. They’d only been home a few minutes when police came.

1h

He said he thought they were ‘unstealable’ but ‘obviously not.’ He said he later found out that mobile phone signal can be used to interfere with the keys.

He said there had been problems with the Land Rover right up to the moment it was stolen.

1h

‘The car being burned out has done me no bloody favours at all, believe me,’ he said. Whall denied having anything to do with it and said he thought Richard Wyn Lewis had done it.

1h

Police arrested Gavin Jones for it but Whall said he didn’t ask him about it because he didn’t think he’d done it because they were friends.

1h

A transcript is now being read out of a fifth interview with Whall where police are asking him about his work phone and activity on 18 and 19 of April. He said he was using 2 phones at that time as one was playing up.

1h

Police said whall stopped using his iPhone 7 30 minutes after Mr Corrigan was shot.

BBM. I thought he didn't know Wyn personally.

He said he binned one phone because it had stopped receiving messages.

1h

He was asked about a call he attempted to make to Barry Williams. He told police he couldn’t remember why he was trying to get hold of him.

58m

Gerald Corrigan was shot at approximately 12.30am on April 19, police told Whall. At 12.34am an ambulance was called. At 1.06am Whall’s phone last had any data coming in or out. Whall sent a text to his partner off his other phone at 1.10am.

56m

Whall said his partner would’ve been on a plane and he was going to pick her up. Whall then tried to contact Barry Williams three times in the minutes afterwards. He said he was calling him because he was up.

53m

Whall said he had not left his house between the hours of 10pm and 3am on April 18.

49m

His phone used a cell on a mast at 10.58pm which would suggest he was at home. It later picked up a cell on a different mast near Gof Du (mr corrigan’s home) at 12.23am.

47m

When asked why his phone was picked up in Treaddr Bay, Whall admitted to police he had lied in his first interview. He said he was out with someone and didn’t want his partner to know.

43m

He said telling them about it would ‘turn my life upside down even more.’ He added he wanted to hear what the evidence was before he let police ‘put the final nail in my relationship.’

42m

He said he was only going to tell police if it was necessary. Reminded it was a murder enquiry, he admitted he was having an affair that was not only going to ruin his relationship but his whole life.

41m

He told them it was with his friend Barry Williams and that they had once had a sexual relationship when they were both single.

39m

Whall said he and Barry would have sexual encounters outdoors around Holyhead.

35m

They had been in the car for 5 minutes near Mr Corrigan’s bungalow according to Whall. He said he and Barry got out and went for a walk.

33m

Police asked Whall which direction they went. He said they did a circular route but couldn’t say for sure how far they had walked because he was having trouble with his knee. He estimated around half a mile to a mile.

30m

He said they were trying to find somewhere that wasn’t open. He said they were talking for a bit before engaging in a sexual activity.

28m

Whall marked on a map approximately where the sexual encounter had happened. He said they went back to the car about 30-40 minutes later.

26m

He said he went home, Barry left and he was trying to get hold of his partner because he felt bad. He said he’d called Barry afterwards in the early hours to tell him it had to stop.

23m

Police asked why Whall swapped his phone at 1.10am in the morning to call Barry. He said he didn’t.

22m

Police say he stopped using his iPhone and started using a cheaper phone from 1.10am.

21m

Whall said the reason for that was because it was nearer the bed at the time. He had previously told police it was because the iPhone had stopped working.

The trial is about to resume

19m

The rest of the police interviews are being read out. Whall asks police about the areas they searched and said it was because he’d left something at the scene (of his encounter with Barry) with his semen on it.

14m

He said the encounter happened in a field surrounded by fencing.

13m

Whall is asked to point out the area he refers to on an aerial map provided by police.

6m

Whall circled an area on the map immediately to the left of Gof Du where he said he stopped with Barry. He said he’d like police to search the bushes there and said he thought they would’ve found a latex glove with his semen on it.

6m

He said he had worn the glove.

6m

He said he had worn the glove.

3m

He said the alarm stopped when he pressed the start button and put his foot on the brake.

1m

Whall said he and Barry had never been to that spot before.

Just wanted to say "THANK YOU" for posting the tweets.

I've been following since the beginning, and sort of have an idea of what's going on, but there's a lot to unpack, LOL. Anyone have a quick summary of what the theory of the case is? Why was Corrigan a target for murder? TIA

Whall is asked by police about telematics and if he knew his Land Rover had such a system. He said he would expect most modern cars to have such technology.

25m

He said he’d previously complained to Land Rover that the black box wasn’t working because they couldn’t diagnose a defect he said the vehicle had.

20m

He’s asked why the telematics only shows one door opening and one door closing. He suggests maybe Barry got out of the vehicle the same side as he did because there might not have been enough room for him to get out the passenger side.

19m

He says he opened the boot to yet out a rucksack containing the latex gloves.

15m

He said he can’t deny he was ‘right in the think of it’ when the crime was committed nearby

12m

Whall said telematics prove he wasn’t in a rush to get away. He said he wouldn’t sit in his car for so long if he had shot someone with a crossbow.

9m

He said unless anyone asked them their whereabouts that night, they weren’t going to say anything about being in the vicinity when a murder was committed because they didn’t want anyone to know their secret.

8m

He said he could remember seeing a blue car parked nearby with a man and woman inside.

3m

Whall said he was in the area the days before the incident to find somewhere to go with Barry.

I'm sure it involves Wyn/fraud, but I don't have a clear idea of what the exact motive is. It's confusing.

Police ask Whall why he was sat in the Land Rover for 5 or 6 minutes near Gof Du the day before Mr Corrigan was shot. He says he was looking around for places to go with Barry.

20m

Whall said if he was trying to stay low key in the area why would he keep opening and closing his door causing the Land Rover to ‘light up like a Christmas tree’

14m

When Whall parked up near Gof Du, he said he spent 90 minutes walking around alone looking for fields or places to go with Barry.

14m

That was on April 17.

10m

The transcript of the last interview with Whall is about to be read out.

7m

Police are asking Whall about the 20 inch bolt that struck Mr Corrigan and he admitted he had ordered similar tips himself.

4m

He agreed he’d ordered such bolts before. He said he may have ordered green tips but didn’t look. He would’ve assumed they were silver or gold.

3m

‘I’m not denying I’ve ever order anything like that,’ he said.

2m

Police ordered the same bolts ordered by Whall to compare with the bolt used to shoot Mr Corrigan.

Just catching up again...........

On Friday April 19, TWs wife and children were away from home, travelling back by flight ? so no chance of them turning up unexpectedly at the house.
But TW and BW preferred to have their sexual encounter in a field at midnight or thereabouts.
Temp for that date at midnight was approx 9C or 48F

Good point, and BW's partner was on a night shift so his campervan would have been free too.

Whall said he pushed bolts into targets or the ground by hand to see how far they would go in without bending or breaking or to see if the green ones were any better than the ones he had before. He couldn’t remember how many he had left when he decided to get rid of them

13m

Asked why he would throw them away he said he wanted to just use the crossbow with the kids rather than for hunting

7m

Bolts exactly the same style and colour as the one that killed Mr Corrigan were ordered by Whall in the days before the incident.

5m

Asked if he killed Mr Corrigan, Whall said no adding: ‘whoever had anything to gain out of his death, it wasn’t me’

2m

Whall said if he was going to dispose of his vehicle after the murder, he would’ve done it the following day nor would he have offered police the two keys. He also said he knew fire would not damage the data on the black box

Whall’s Land Rover was parked near Richard Wyn Lewis’ address on May 24, 25 and 26. He went there with Gavin Jones on May 31.

15m

Whall said he put a tracker on Gavin’s friend’s car near Richard Wyn Lewis’ home to see if the car went to Ireland.

14m

The car was being used by Richard Wyn Lewis.

11m

Whall said he’d gone to the address a few nights in a row to try and put the tracker on the car.

6m

That concludes the interviews with Whall. The jury is now being sent home for the day. Tomorrow they will hear the transcripts of the interviews with Gavin Jones.

This seemed a bit odd. Seems to contradict himself in separate statements.
Snipped from two of TWs statements above.

nor would he have offered police the two keys. ( snipped from above )

but surely that's exactly what he would do if he was claiming the theft was via remote access to the keys.
