Jones said Whall had never mentioned a crossbow to him until after police turned up one day while he was waiting for a back massage. When he saw him again a few days later, Whall told Jones he had a crossbow and would use it to shoot targets.

CCTV shows him standing and appear to be waiting in the cul de sac. The Land Rover and a black Mini turn into the road 20 minutes later. He says he doesn’t remember. He doesn’t know anyone who owns a black Mini.

DCI Kearney looked to trace the bolt and broadhead that shot and killed Mr Corrigan. E commerce sites were searched including Amazon and eBay.

A similar green broad-head was discovered on eBay after Mr Corrigan was shot. But none had been sold before the shooting from the seller.

Mr Kearney agrees these are two sites that sell the same bolt. He accepts the bolts are mass produced and are sold through various websites. Mr Kearney said the local shops did not sell them.
