Missing in Houston: 30 years later, Wanda Holland’s family still seeks answers

Wandolyn Ann Holland, known as "Wanda" or "Little Bit," disappeared on January 6, 1994, in Houston, Texas, after telling her mother she was going to a nearby store.

Wanda’s mother Barbara recalled that it was a Thursday when her daughter went missing. She had just returned from the store when Wanda said, “Be back after a while, mom. I’m going to the corner store to get a beer.”

The store, about six blocks away, is now a Valero but was a Conoco at the time. Although it was typical for Wanda to be away for a day or two, her mother found it unusual when she was gone for longer, as they had always been very close.

Holland was last seen in the vicinity of Sharondale Drive and Martin Luther King Boulevard in Houston, Texas on January 6, 1994. She told her mother she was going to the corner store, about six blocks away, to get beer. She has never been heard from again. Although Holland has dropped out of sight for a day or two at a time before, her family doesn't believe she would have ever been willingly out of contact for this long. Few details are available in her case.
