SMIT was the rogue, not Thomas.
SMIT was the biased one, not Thomas.
Smit's supposed golden record consists of nabbing mostly uneducated, poor perps, not a college educated former Miss West Virginia with acting skill and a rich husband whose lawyers owned half the state. To my knowledge, he's never examined a homicide that was staged. Some hero.
You can't play favorites. ST should have been punished for what he did. So should Hunter and Smit. Nobody's clean here.
Maybe he didn't have experience, but he worked closely with people who DID.
